Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Arenella

Sometimes I joke about not wanting to review my favorite places for fear it will make my next booking harder. But this is no joke. Francesca and Carlo have a paradise, and I’ll be working hard to get back soonest. We stayed 10 days, visiting Syracusa and Noto, Etna lava and wineries, and found it increasingly difficult to leave even for a few hours. Evenings shift from the cooing of pigeons to the plaintiff call of owls, with the sounds of waves from her almost private coast. The house is rich in family memories, and gorgeously decorated. The ceilings high and rooms airy.The kitchen a gem to use.

Rosaria has been an amazing host during our trip. We had everything we needed and much more. Rosaria let us check in early and helped us to settle in, she had many complimentary snacks waiting for us, gave us great recommendations for places to go and also gave us everything we needed to have an amazing beach day ( things like umbrellas, beach towels, playing cards). We were a group of 4 and everyone was very comfortable and happy, the house is very clean, everything looks new and excellent quality. The rooftop was beautiful as well. The location was great and it was very easy parking right beside the main door. We loved everything about our stay. Everything was excellent. Thank you Rosaria for being a great host.

A fantastic apartment for a family. Extremely quiet and amazing location, steps from the sea. Rooftop deck has views of both the sunrise and sunset! Very clean, comfy beds, and modern. We would definitely stay here again. The host helped us with everything, and provided wonderful restaurant recommendations.

I dearly love Marco’s home which checks every box. Location is great! It’s like 3-minute walking to Train, Bus and Local Bus station which connect me to Noto, Modica and Fontane Bianche in sweat-free matter. Plus, there are multiple eatery options nearby like Onda Blue (love its Fasolari soooo much), Il Matto (affordable yummiest Pizza) and Fuori Ortigia (pretty good Calamari) and La dogana (sublime Carbonara). The house is clean and surprisingly silent from the noise I was worried upon staying in the house though it’s very near a transportation hub of the city. Air conditioner works well and so does shower. Most importantly, Marco himself is such a nice host. I do recommend his nice place.

This home is just a few minutes from the historic center, located in a charming neighborhood surrounded by beautiful shops. The host is incredibly friendly and flexible. The space is spacious and completely private, featuring a swimming pool and a lovely rooftop setup perfect for relaxing and chilling.

We enjoyed our stay at Jacopo's place. The home is beatifull and has lots of room and space including a nice patio to sit out back. The location is "interesting"; on a big intersection but well located to use it as a base to to explore other areas (we visited Syracuse, Noto, Marzamemi) and at the same time a 5 minute drive to the lovely beach of Spiaggia Lido d'Avola. Although Jacopo was extremely helpful and responsive, a set of instructions and a list of recommendations for the area would be helpful when you arrive.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this apartment in the heart of Ortigia! The location couldn’t have been better — right in the center and literally steps away from the beach. It was the perfect spot for morning swims and sunset strolls by the water. The apartment itself was spotless, stylish, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. From the cozy bed to the well-stocked kitchen and modern bathroom, every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. A special shoutout to the host, who was incredibly friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay. They made check-in easy and shared great local tips that made our experience even better. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy the best of Ortigia. We’re already dreaming about coming back!

Very nice accommodation in the heart of Ortigia with a very nice roof top terrace.

What a fabulous location for exploring Ortigia, we loved the apartment and definitely recommend! Very spacious, well equipped property with everything needed (including air conditioning units in each room, shutters on each window, washing machine and drying racks both inside and out, plenty of towels, comfy beds etc). We mainly walked everywhere from the apartment, choosing not to hire a car, although parking is available. Easy check in met by the host at an agreed time. Huge list of eatery recommendations shared by the hosts which we enjoyed a few of (including superb gelateria!). The local market with super selection of fruit, veg, cheese etc was just a couple of minutes walk away, ultra convenient! We also took a boat trip from a provider that we could see from the apartment.

Perfect place to be if you go to Ortigia - everything walking distance!!!

We had the most fantastic stay - incredible to be overlooking the market. We went everyday and cooked our wares in the lovely kitchen. Apartment is beautifully designed and loved the wine cellar - an unexpected bonus. Double glazing is also excellent- the calls of the market are so atmospheric, but when you don’t want to hear them, you can just shut the windows. Great situation in Ortigia. Responsive check in and support during our stay.

The apartment is just as described , we had a couple of problems Stefania and her husband took care of it very quickly to solve it , there is a place to park it is not a minor fact in Italy , the area is super quiet , for my taste a little far from the attractions

Wonderful house in a quiet street in the centre of Ortigia. Easy to get to all tourists attractions. Supermarket steps away. The house was perfect for our stay, very comfortable and clean and had everything we needed, well equipped. The roof terrace and living space off the terrace was a very beautiful place to hang out. We loved everything about this place and Stefania is a “superhost” attentive and helpful.

This was an amazing place to stay. We spent hours admiring the 180 degree view, so relaxing. The facilities on offer were excellent and the icing on the cake was Santi….what a host ! Never intrusive but always available with ideas and support. The best holiday ever. Grazie Mille.

Fantastic 3 weeks at Francesco`s beautiful apartment - superbly located on Isola Ortigia, an absoultely spectacular place. Lively even during winter and a number of sights (Neapolis is a must!). Went to the food market for fish and greens and made dinner at home every other day or so. Otherwise a number of very good restaurants within a 500m radius. Breakfast and lunches on the spectacular terrase, short/t-shirt at least half the days (when in the sun) even during winter. Francesco was very helpful when we needed some minor assistance with heating and dishwasher. The heating system was the best I have every come across in Italy - water heated radiators, not only the usual A/C. All in ll - spotless!

Apartment in the heart of Ortigia but off the beaten path, excellent location and communication always at the top. Quiet and cozy apartment. The small bar of "Irma la dolce" below the house is an extra point.

I had a great stay at this apartment! It was very clean, comfortable, and just like the photos. The owner was easy to reach and always helpful. The only small downside for me was the bed—it was a bit too soft for my preference. Of course, that’s a matter of personal taste and what you’re used to, so others might find it perfectly comfortable. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place and would stay here again without hesitation!

Marco was friendly and an excellent host and very fast in responding for our questions. He had some excellent restaurant recommendations in Ortigia and Syracuse. The apartment was very clean & tidy and had everything you might need. Great location to walk into Ortigia too or explore great local restaurants. Highly recommend
