You’ll run out of words to describe the beauty of Quinta da Mourinha. Every detail of this hidden mountainside retreat is stunning. The view from the pool, the lemon orchard, the flowers, the herb garden, the vines. Even the barbecue is made from a giant piece of granite. Anne-Marie and Ricardo’s parents were so welcoming and there are thoughtful touches everywhere…from a convenient pool room and laundry to a welcoming arrangement of flowers in the room. The bed was super comfortable, the shower powerful and our spotlessly clean suite had everything we needed.

Hemos estado muy a gusto en casa de Amalia. Muy buena comunicación con ella, siempre que lo hemos necesitado. Por poner alguna pega, creo que el extractor sería necesario y también que arreglasen el sumidero de la calle, ya que al abrír las ventanas el olor se hacía poco soportable. Por el contrario, la terraza es lo mejor de la casa, muy amplia y con unas vistas estupendas al puente, tiene barbacoa aunque nosotros no la hemos usado. La zona es muy bonita, con un río en el que mís hijos han disfrutado mucho del baño, también con muchos restaurantes y un supermercado muy cerca de casa.

Foi uma estadia muito agradável. A casa é num local muito calmo, com uma excelente vista. O estacionamento é que pode ser um pouco complicado. O anfitrião é muito disponível e as pessoas locais muito simpáticas.

Très belle maison au sein d'un environnement arboré, valloné et paisible. La maison était très propre à notre arrivée, la piscine était parfaite. Les hôtes sont accueillants et disponibles.

Beautiful old stone house in a quiet surrounding, stays cool in the summer heat. Was equipped with everything we needed. There is a washing machine although the description at airbnb says there is none. Pool is great! Good location to discover the Peneda Geres national park but also not too far away from the beaches. We stayed there with two kids aged 4 and 1, however, probably not the best option for very small kids (unsecured stairs, power outlets, banisters have huge spaces). While this is not the fault of the owner and owed to the fact that the house is historic, I am just leaving this comment for other families. If the kids are not too small I would totally recommend this house!

Maison idéale pour visiter le parc de Peneda Geres en famille. Étage supérieur totalement indépendant d’une maison de famille, entourée de vignes et d’orangers. Vue splendide sur le parc naturel, au calme à 3 km d’Arcos de Valdevez et à moins de 30 min de Ponte de Lima. João est un hôte parfait, aux petits soins et amoureux de sa région.

Second time we stayed here with a group! The place is meticulously taken care of with lots of loving elements. Traditional style and homely feel.

We were 2 families staying together and we had ample space in this well appointed sizeable villa in sleepy local village outside of Viana do Castelo, which is a nice town. There are a few local restaurants in the village and a cafe/bar a short walk down by the river. The river wasn't swim-able though. We spent time relaxing by the lovely saltwater pool which isn’t overlooked and is set in the secluded gardens overlooking fields. We felt a car was essential to visit local towns and national parks. The cleaner came mid way through our 2 week stay and changed bedding towels and cleaned throughout, which was a nice bonus. Jose was there to greet us and gave us helpful local advice We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay and would recommend the villa.

We had an amazing stay. The place was perfect for a family vacation. The location was peaceful and the nature surrounding was beautiful. The house was spacious and the pool area was great! We had everything we needed. Totally recommend it! 😊

Fantastic accommodation. Beautiful gardens, pool and house. Marcus is a very good host, and looked after us so well - bringing us little gifts like fresh orange juice just made the experience so much better. One of our children really wanted to keep a huge lemon he’d found in the garden but we told him he would have to ask. Instead of just saying no, or yes, Marcus said “sure, but why don’t we make some lemonade together!”. Just so thoughtful and kind. The house is very well equipped and beautifully furnished. Lots of attention to detail. Pool is very large and everything is perfectly clean. Marcus and Rick really did go out of their way to ensure our stay was successful without ever being intrusive, so please don’t hesitate to book!

We (a big family of 6) were very happy with our stay. It was easy to check in, the house is very well equipped with everything needed, and the view from it to the valley is breathtaking! It was especially nice to be granted a free walking tour with a guide, kids were super happy. We highly recommend this place, thank you very much.

Casa espetacular com uma vista excelente. Uma varanda ao longo da casa que se destaca completamente. A casa está super bem equipada e recomendo imenso.

we were a group of 10 people and spent the weekend during the famous Sra D'Agonia festivities. The house is extremely comfortable, the staff very helpful. it was amazing to be so close to the center of Viana to enjoy several events but also have a base where we could enjoy time in the pool, cook, and eat as a group of friends. the piano was a very nice plus. an element of our group plays and it felt so much more intimate to be able to enjoy him playing for us.

We had a great stay at Quinta da Mourinha! Beautiful scenery and a restful spot for the 12 nights we stayed. Impressive renovation to an old northern Portuguese farm house, made better by the modern conveniences. Everything was tidy and clean when we arrived, and the friendly daily housekeeper made sure to check in with us to offer anything we needed. Great visit. Will stay again!

Foram dias verdadeiramente bem passados, num espaço fantástico onde não faltou nada. A moradia apresenta excelentes condições, que superaram as nossas expectativas, proporcionando momentos únicos de conforto e lazer. Como uma sugestão construtiva, e com todo o respeito, acreditamos que poderia ser ainda mais agradável se os anfitriões nos deixassem ligeiramente mais à vontade, evitando circular pela casa enquanto o nosso grupo estivesse presente. De qualquer forma, esta é apenas uma recomendação leve, pois todo o restante foi simplesmente fantástico. Reiteramos os nossos agradecimentos e deixamos os parabéns pela maravilhosa moradia e pela hospitalidade.

Our stay was perfect, the space was fantastic, really beautiful and well decorated inside and the outside was amazing, really peaceful with the sound of the river.

A Casa Ana Rosa está muito bem localizada, a meio caminho dos Arcos de Valdevez - perto de Vilela (um óptimo ponto de entrada da ecovia) e do Sistelo. Possibilita por isso uma rápida deslocação a qualquer destes destinos. A casa, de traça típica da região, oferece as comodidades necessárias para uma familia grande (como foi o nosso caso), com uma boa zona de estar e refeições (com os utensílios e electrodomésticos necessários) e um piso com bons 5 quartos. Tem um amplo espaço exterior, com alpendre, jardim, piscina. Optamos por incluir o serviço de pequeno-almoço, sempre muito bem servido, o que facilitou imenso. A Maria João Rodrigues está sempre atenta e preocupada em que nada falte, aliando assim da melhor forma a simpatia à disponibilidade. Passamos uns fantásticos cinco dias em fim de semana grande, ficando em todos a vontade de repetir a experiência.

Es war einfach wunderschön und am liebsten hätten wir verlängert. Jeden Morgen um neun brachte uns Gloria frische Brötchen und süsse Sachen , vielen lieben Dank Wir können diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.

.Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Gisèla qui sait se montrer chaleureuse, disponible mais aussi discrète. La maison est très grande, les équipements de qualité, l'environnement paisible et la piscine fort appréciable en ces temps de fortes chaleurs. Les alentours regorgent de chemins ombragés. Bonne adresse de restaurant à la cuisine simple, bonne et pour un prix accessible donnée par Gisela. Merci pour ce vrai moment de pur bonheur aux accents portugais.

La maison de Joaquim est très belle et très propre. Les chambres au frais, la cuisine conviviale et cette magnifique piscine avec une superbe vue, tout y est agréable! Le lieu est paisible, avec l'impression d'être au bout du monde, au beau milieu d'un environnement très verdoyant, c'est un petit coin de paradis. Joaquim et son épouse sont très sympathiques, accueillants et serviables. Ils sont des hôtes parfaits! Arcos à proximité permet de tout trouver facilement et les jolis villages typiques du nord du Portugal permettent de belles balades. Nos deux semaines passées dans cette maison ont été parfaits, nous essaierons d'y revenir!
