Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Aquitaine

Arrived in a 9-person minibus, all retired and not necessarily good walkers, the place filled us immediately both with the services and the welcome of Kattalin's parents, unfailing simplicity, a kindness rare these days, a landscape and a breathtaking view. On the last day, we allowed ourselves to have a barbecue with local products, on a sunny terrace, what more could you ask for. I think I'll keep this address in a corner of my mind because in half an hour, you're in Spain, caves and chasms nearby, welcoming restaurants and the sea 3/4 hours away. Thank you to Kattalin and her parents and their grandson who I know will be a farmer as we would like to see. Thank you

This stay was incredibly relaxing in a quiet environment, in the heart of nature and with crazy charm. Béatrice and Christophe are extremely kind, welcoming and dynamic hosts, who have a sense of sharing. We were able to enjoy all their advice on the region, restaurants, the winery. The accommodation is perfect, it matches the description in every way. Do not hesitate if you are looking for a peaceful haven 10 minutes from St Emilion. Recommended +++

The Thezaurere is a beautiful building in which you feel good. In a quiet environment, it has all the comforts for a great stay. The house is well equipped and clean. Lectoure is a beautiful village and has many shops and a market. There are many hikes to do from the house. We had a great time in Avignon. Thanks to Maryline for hosting us.

This was the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in!! The apartment is beautiful with great decor. It has been recently remodeled, and Emilie has taken great care to preserve the character of the original building, including the exposed timber beams. It’s very spacious and comfortable for a couple. The location is great, just outside the old part of Sarlat, and you can walk to the restaurants in town in 5-10 minutes. Émilie is a great host and very attentive to detail. Can’t wait to stay again!!

Great stay at Gwénaële and Franck's. They are available hosts, responsive but also discreet. The studio is very pleasant, well-equipped and impeccably clean. Love the beautiful garden so well arranged and the feeling of calm that emerges from it. Finally, the jaccuzi in its bubble opening to the outside and usable at any time is a real joy. Really a great place to recommend!

Very nice house in a quiet and green environment. All the rooms have been beautifully renovated and decorated, making the house both beautiful and practical for a stay with friends or family. We particularly appreciated the quality of the beds, the kitchen equipment and the outdoor area (garden and pool).

There were four of us and we had a wonderful stay in Marie-Sarah & Josselin's beautiful house by the sea. The house is very cozy and well laid out. We lacked nothing and were overwhelmed every time we looked out the windows or the porch door. The view of the sea will accompany us for a long time to come. Marie-Sarah & Josselin were very good hosts. Requested insider tips for the area came as a highly professional and beautifully designed PDF. We can only highly recommend the house, the area and the hosts ❤️

The apartment itself was lovely, but if you are doing a grand european tour from Australia as we were, I dont think this city is the place to linger. A fuel stop would have been long enough. I booked a stay in cahors based on the lovely photos of this listing, and while the veiws of the roof tops were pleasant, the city itself in my opinion is just simply not as nice as the villiages 30 minutes further north. We wished we had just stayed longer in sarlat and done day trips (ie drive to cirq la popie) from there. We enjoyed the stay, but more because the city did not inspire us to explore and so we had a nice rest. If you must stay at Cahors for some reason then I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this pretty loft.

Perfect central ground floor apartment. Comfy and clean. Thank you to Laure for helping us with the tv as we didn’t know how to work it. Bergerac is a lovely place to visit. Would love to come back again. Next time I need to brush up on my French as most of the locals don’t speak English. Or let’s say, they would rather you speak French. And why not.

Sarah was reactivated and responded easily and favorably to our requests. The apartment is very bright and the terrace is a plus, as is the provision of bicycles. Location 10 minutes from the center, which is appreciable.

One of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. Absolutely gorgeous apartment conveniently located in the center of San Sebastián. The host went above and beyond to give us specific instructions for driving & parking in the city as well as a list of recommendations for dining. I couldn’t recommend this place more.

Communication and hospitality was perfect, very appreciated kindness and kindness. The location is amazing, once the suitcases are packed, everything is easily done on foot. The view from the deck is fantastic. The quality of the bedding is very good and the place is tastefully decorated. EVERYTHING comes together for a very pleasant stay and create wonderful memories.

Mikel’s place is well appointed, clean, quiet and comfortable. The beds in particular were very comfortable and the balcony was such a nice bonus! Mikel was an excellent host; very responsive and helpful. It was fantastic to be near the beach and a bit away from the old town (which was extremely loud and rowdy while we were in town), but still easy walking distance. We would certainly recommend Mikel’s apartment.

La Monnoye was amazing… the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in - exactly as described. Nathaniel met us on arrival, gave us an orientation to the apartment and the neighborhood/city. The apartment was so lovely. Decorated to perfection, yet not stuffy. It was very comfortable. The bed was good. The in-unit washer and dryer was awesome perk. They left ample supplies, coffee and everything we needed. The neighborhood felt safe, but is outside the most touristy areas of town. One evening there was a good bit of noise from outside, but it was not audible in the bedroom. It was an easy walk to everything we wanted to access. The tram is very close, although we never used it. Uber was able to access the apartment. Highly recommend Nathaniel and Patrice’s apartment.

Very well located apartment (on the beach and close to the city center by bike), well arranged and well equipped. We were able to enjoy the balcony which is nice (and perfectly oriented to enjoy the sunset). The parking space and bicycles are very nice. Our host was very responsive and we were greeted by his parents who were charming and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Julien was very responsive, very present, while being discreet. very pleasant apartment, magnificent view of the Bassin d 'Arcachon. a few minutes walk from all amenities as well as the pier from where the boats leave for Cap Ferret/Île aux oiseaux etc... secure private parking, well appreciated. we loved everything about our stay! thank you Julien it was perfect :)

A fabulous stay. We were delighted with the accommodation, a great view, shops, restaurants within walking distance and the beach as well. The village of Gensac is tucked away in the lovely Saint-Émilion countryside. The one-time convent feels like a special place, a quiet and peaceful retreat to return to after our days visiting Bordeaux, Saint-Émilion, Bergerac, and environs. The suite is spacious, very clean, has useful amenities, and we settled in easily. A vase of fresh flowers on the dining table and a bottle of local wine were nice touches that we especially appreciated. John was a helpful, informative, and friendly host. We enjoyed meeting him and will remember our stay there fondly. Thank you, John.
