Nice accommodation in an old and very authentic country house. We have stayed several times at Bernadette's, who is a very friendly hostess. When the season allows, lunch and coffee breaks in the garden are highly appreciated. Beautiful location to discover the Blaye region and surroundings. We recommend it.

Stephane and Sylvie were amazing hosts. They gave us great local recommendations, organised a personal winery tour for us and booked in a massage. The location is beautiful, peaceful setting and the pool was fantastic. We booked to have breakfast one morning - it was stunning. Beautiful presentation and lovely food. We highly recommend staying here - truley relaxing.

Paula met us when we arrived to show us the apartment and was very helpful. The location is very rural and beautiful with walkable trails from the house. Well organized kitchen for cooking meals. Lovely yard to relax , we had a lot of rain but when the sun came out we really enjoyed sitting out. Paula and her family were very kind and respectful.

Well equipped and good location. We had a great month by the fire, quiet, surrounded by nature. Close to small towns with activities, supermarkets and 20min from Perigueux About 2 hours from Sarlat and other beautiful sites in the Dordogne. Even though a lot of things are closed in January, we didn't get bored! Easy and pleasant communication with Jacques and his daughter Claire-Helene. Friendly hosts, we recharged ourselves. Comfortable bed too which is a bonus! Thank you for everything

We had a great couple of weeks here. It proved an ideal location from which to explore the Périgord Vert. A very peaceful spot with a secure garden for our dog and walks nearby. The facilities in the cottage were excellent and as described and we really appreciated the bottle of wine and home made cake on arrival. The pool was very relaxing and comfortable and easily warm enough to swim in late May. There is an (excellent) boulangerie in the nearest village which is walkable and supermarkets for provisions in Brantôme. Several nearby towns had markets. Suzy and Steve (and Alfie) were lovely hosts and we fully recommend it. It was exactly what we wanted.

Listing as described. Aline is a very responsive and accommodating host. The listing is located in a beautiful environment and the different things available are a big plus ,if the weather allows you to enjoy it.

Amazing setting, unparalleled calm, with stunning views of Mont Valier. The accommodation has been renovated with a lot of charm, very functional and very well equipped. Sandrine was responsive to all our questions during the stay. We'll be happy to go back!

Great beautiful house, very clean and very cozy furnished. For us, the 2 nd time we were there. Very nice, wonderful to relax. Delicious outdoor space where you can eat and enjoy the jacuzzi. Very friendly owners. We will definitely go back. Enjoy.

Great modern house with all the comforts. It seemed difficult to find in advance, but was very easy to find afterwards. Pool not used (too cold). The host had prepared delicious breakfast and dinner (for a fee). The horses in the meadow around the house as well as the tranquility and the view the valley in amazing. Everything fenced for the dog. Sitting outside under the canopy with a blanket with welcome drink and snack :D We have plans to go in November instead of 2 nights, a week...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Le Petit Cinq Ruffe. Caroline and Paul were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The property was lovely and met all our needs. The location was very rural and quiet; exactly what we had hoped for. The welcome included a lovely platter of local produce and delicious wine. We thoroughly enjoyed it! We would not hesitate to highly recommend this property.

We spent a night at Virginia’s place and we did not want to leave, it was so peaceful and relaxing. The parking was easy and next to the property and Virginia greeted us on our arrival. The property was amazing and the grounds very extensive with lovely views. We would definitely stay here again if ever we are in the area. Thank you for the gift Virginia, it was lovely to meet you 😊

This beautiful Gite was perfect for us. We loved the peaceful location, the well kept grounds and the beautiful pool area which we only sometimes shared with the 2 occupants of the smaller gite. Often, we had it to ourselves. Chris and Debbie were really lovely and helpful with lots of recommendations- from markets to local restaurants. They set up a private chat group when we arrived so they could be on call if required and pass on any useful information. Debbie arrived at our door one day as we headed out for a trip with a cool box, which was a lovely gesture . On another day, she arrived at the pool with a jug of chilled sangria. Their lovely friendliness contributed to our enjoyment of this property. As someone who is often a gourmet buffet for local insect life, the mosquito nets over the beds were very welcome. Our girls loved the grounds, including the swing next to the gite, although the pool made it for them. We would happily recommend it to everyone we know.

We were met by his beautiful dogs on arrival making us feeling immediately welcome, followed by Gideon who welcomed us like we were part of the family. Gideon and his wife couldn’t have done enough, always being around for a chat, or just for a quick wave and smile. This truly is the most peaceful and beautiful setting to escape the reality of city life. The house its self was beautiful with vaulted ceilings and exposed original brick, they have got the perfect balance of rustics and contemporary. We couldn’t fault a thing and whoever gets to stay here next, is sure to love it just as much as we did!

A fantastic getaway. The accommodation was very clean, well decorated and set in a beautiful location. Victoria and Rob were great hosts and made us feel very welcome going above and beyond to make our stay truly memorable. Would highly recommend!

After some difficulties in communicating directly with Clark, we spent an incredible weekend with friends: the farm matches the description. Well, not quite: it is still full of surprises that the description does not suggest. The renovation reveals the farm with all its history, plus a decor full of travel. The equipment is perfect (except the oven is a little dysfunctional). We were also lucky, with beautiful weather. Really a place I recommend.

Virginie's place just outside Saint Emilion is a beautiful place to stay. Surrounded by vines on this working winery. the cottage is very spacious and has all the amenities we need. It was lovely to sit outside, surrounded by vines on a sunny afternoon, with a wine, playing a game of Bocce ! This is a much better option than staying in Saint Emilion, which is less than a 5 min drive away Would highly recommend Virginie's place to enjoy a wonderful few days in Saint Emilion

Arrived in a 9-person minibus, all retired and not necessarily good walkers, the place filled us immediately both with the services and the welcome of Kattalin's parents, unfailing simplicity, a kindness rare these days, a landscape and a breathtaking view. On the last day, we allowed ourselves to have a barbecue with local products, on a sunny terrace, what more could you ask for. I think I'll keep this address in a corner of my mind because in half an hour, you're in Spain, caves and chasms nearby, welcoming restaurants and the sea 3/4 hours away. Thank you to Kattalin and her parents and their grandson who I know will be a farmer as we would like to see. Thank you

Beautiful stay in a rural Bordeaux setting.

We truly enjoyed staying in Maria’s wonderful home. She was very helpful and communicative and provided clear instructions for getting to the house. We would absolutely stay here again!

What a piece of paradise! Such a unique and historic home; I could have sat in by the fireside or outside by the cascades all day, but there was endless, scenic mountain hiking and thermes and beautiful towns to enjoy close by. We stayed four fabulous nights and wish we stayed longer! We appreciated the kindness and recommendations from Adeline & Bernard.

The house is really perfect for a break from everyday life with friends, ideally located and very well furnished. It is clear that the construction of the house was done with the well-being of future vacationers in mind. I have absolutely nothing to complain about, even without having seen the otters! We had the chance to meet Gertjan who is really nice and available, and we had Helena by message who is just as nice and responsive. We will come back without hesitation!

Absolutely wonderful stay, Sandra is a superb host! Magnificent home, beautiful surroundings, great recommendations. Spotless house with everything you need. Decor was very tasteful and the garden and pool area so relaxing. Thank you for a magical stay.

The Gîte de la Gaille is a very soothing place turned towards calm and nature. We came as a group of 3. The cottage is comfortable and the private garden was appreciated by my dog. My kids played ping pong and Badmington. Agnes and Patrick are cool hosts and very welcoming. They are available to chat around animals. We came to relax and visit the area, we were served. The best thing when you love animals is the Sheep Park, goats and chickens as well as the two Shetlands. The three dogs are well educated and make a living. I'll be back for a wellness cure.
