Family-friendly holiday rentals in Aquitaine

Stephane and Sylvie were amazing hosts. They gave us great local recommendations, organised a personal winery tour for us and booked in a massage. The location is beautiful, peaceful setting and the pool was fantastic. We booked to have breakfast one morning - it was stunning. Beautiful presentation and lovely food. We highly recommend staying here - truley relaxing.

Super séjour ! Les hôtes sont très sympas et accueillants. Le logement est propre, confortable et bien équipé, exactement comme décrit. Très bien situé, avec plusieurs villes sympas à proximité pour les visites.

We were greeted by Lucille , who spoke perfect English and Monsieur . We were shown all about the house, how to operate the jacuzzi and given excellent recommendations for the area. The booklet was invaluable particularly for village market days. The house is so attractively deco and so comfortable with everything you need to make your stay troubles free and relaxing. As we are from Australia we loved cooking outside on the BBQ. Being supplied with wraps for the jacuzzi was much appreciated as was the jacuzzi after climbing lots of steps visiting the castles. Our hosts all came to farewell us which was a lovely friendly touch. We thank you all for your lovely home and generous spirit of welcome. This is an excellent Perigord base and we strongly recommend it.

Het is een fantastische plek, een hele ruime yurt met een keuken en bar helemaal voor ons tweeen. Twee gezellige katten en de bellen om de nek van de schapen gaven de plek nog iets extras. Magali is een bijzondere vrouw die helemaal hoort bij de bijzondere plek. We waren van plan om in de buurt uit eten te gaan maar omdat we de plek zo fijn vonden hebben we zelf gekookt.

Hervorragende Unterkunft direkt auf dem Land. Sehr ruhig gelegen und auch für längere Aufenthalte gut geeignet. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und haben wertvolle Tipps für die Gegend erhalten. Vielen Dank an die Familie von Jean-Baptiste für diesen erholsamen Aufenthalt!

Un petit coin de rêve, paisible, entouré d’animaux. Des produits locaux et de qualités à disposition. Chaque détail est réfléchi, tout est en circuit court. Voilà le vrai luxe de notre ère.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Dominique et François sont des hôtes discrets, souriants, cordiaux, toujours disponibles, sans oublier Django le chien qui venait nous saluer amicalement. le jardin est magnifique, arboré et très bien entretenu, véritable havre de paix au bord du Lot. Lors de ces journées torrides, cela nous a permis de nous rafraichir et nous délasser. Le gite est confortable, rien ne manque tout est prévu. Les commerces se trouvent à proximité. Très belle région où les sites touristiques sont nombreux (châteaux, bastides, musées, producteurs, etc..). Merci à vous deux (même vous trois) pour votre accueil, gentillesse. Sans aucune hésitation, allez y !!

Une parenthèse enchantée à la cabane au bord de l'étang ! Nous avons passé de superbes moments proches de la nature. Un accueil chaleureux de la part de Sara, avec un pain au levain excellent. L'accès est simple et rapide à ce cocon de verdure. La cabane est douce et pleine de charme. Nous avons pu l'apprécier sous le soleil, mais aussi se blottir dedans pendant une soirée orageuse, c'était formidable et si cosy, la cabane est très bien isolée ; mais au besoin, le poêle était déjà prêt pour chauffer cet endroit douillet (nous n'en avons pas eu besoin.). Nous nous y sommes sentis chez nous. Il y a de nombreux coins et recoins pour profiter de ce havre de paix, observer la nature et adopter un mode de vie tout en tranquillité. Nous recommandons vivement ce lieu et sa charmante hôtesse. Merci d'avoir créé cet endroit.

A charming cottage very close to st emilion town and very close to the station. Sophie was very kind to pick us up and really helpful with suggestions on good restaurants and places to visit. She was very responsive to every request. We really enjoyed our time there. Thanks for being a great host Sophie. I highly recommend this place.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour entre amis chez Joël. L’emplacement est idéal pour s’extirper pour le temps d’un week-end de la vie citadine. Les nombreux équipements, l’agencement et la déco donne le sentiment d’être « comme à la maison ».

Wir haben uns bei Valerie sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir hatten eine sehr erholsame Zeit mit unserer Flat-coated Retriever Hündin. Der Garten in der Anlage ist sehr gepflegt. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns, das wir mit den Fahrrädern von Valerie in 5 Minuten im Ortszentrum von La Teste-de-Buch mit einer guten Auswahl von Einkaufsmöglichkeiten waren. Ebenso ist man schnell bei den ‚Cabanes‘ der Austernfischer :-)

accueil au top excellent séjour logement conforme à ce que nous attendions mais compte tenu de l'emplacement des toilettes au rc les chambres étant à l'étage avec un escalier droit, compte tenu de nos âges plus ou moins 80 ans le confort aurait été au super top. Mais cela n'enlève rien au confort de ce gite pour des jeunes. Le village possède tout le nécessaire pour effectuer tous les achats pour bien vivre.

Nora's place is simply exceptional and i'd wholeheartedly recommend it. It's a stunning property that has been diligently and sympathetically renovated into a wonderful accommodation, in an idyllic setting. After attending a busy wedding weekend, we were seeking a place that could offer an opportunity to relax, in tranquil surroundings with a touch of Luxury, and this property delivered on every level. Nora is a phenomenal host, who couldn't do enough for us - her communication was fantastic and even went out of her way to offer local recommendations and things to do, even down to organising wine tours and private chefs. Small touches, such as having a super herb garden that we utilised for cooking, and Nora very kindly heated the pool early for us. Thank you very much, for an unforgettable stay Nora. I've already recommended your place to several friends and we will most definitely be back to visit in the not too distant future.

Logement bien équipé et bien situé. Nous avons passé un excellent mois au coin du feu, au calme, entourés de nature. A proximité de petites villes avec des activités, supermarchés et 20min de Perigueux Environ 2h de Sarlat et autres sites magnifiques de la Dordogne. Meme si beaucoup de choses sont fermées en Janvier, nous ne nous sommes pas ennuyés! Communication facile et agreable avec Jacques et sa fille Claire-Helene. Hotes accomodants, nous nous sommes bien ressourcés. Lit bien confortable aussi qui est un bonus! Merci pour tout

¡¡¡Una casa fantastica!!!Albert y Helene muy atentos, resolviendo cualquier cosa al momento. A nuestra llegada nos recibieron con mermelada casera, un paté buenísimo y huevos de sus apreciadas gallinas que sorbieron a nuestro perrito... Recomiendo esta casa llena de historia con un entorno fabuloso, rodeada de pueblos con mucho encanto. La casa y el entorno es mucho mejor que las fotos. Sin duda repetiremos. Un cordial saludo.

We had a great couple of weeks here. It proved an ideal location from which to explore the Périgord Vert. A very peaceful spot with a secure garden for our dog and walks nearby. The facilities in the cottage were excellent and as described and we really appreciated the bottle of wine and home made cake on arrival. The pool was very relaxing and comfortable and easily warm enough to swim in late May. There is an (excellent) boulangerie in the nearest village which is walkable and supermarkets for provisions in Brantôme. Several nearby towns had markets. Suzy and Steve (and Alfie) were lovely hosts and we fully recommend it. It was exactly what we wanted.

Our stay at La Maine was wonderful. Catherine and Maxence are excellent hosts, extremely welcoming and warm, but also very respectful of privacy. The cottage is impeccably decorated and comfortable -- we cooked a couple of meals after shopping at the farmer's market, and the kitchen was perfectly equipped. Cubjac is small, but inviting -- be sure to go to the bakery, to the farmer's market, and to the Tabac for aa coffee. Catherine and Maxence had great recommendations for restaurants and outings -- every one of their suggestions was 100%. Our only regret is that we didn't plan a longer stay! Thank you to our new friends in Cubjac -- and Lila and Iris, of course.

Une très belle maison decoree avec beaucoup de goût, dans un superbe cadre. Nous avons pu apprécier le confort de la maison lors de quelques journées pluvieuses mais également du magnifique jardin et de la terrasse par temps ensoleillé. De nombreuses visites sont accessibles à proximité. Les hôtes sont acceuilants et réactifs.

The village of Gensac is tucked away in the lovely Saint-Émilion countryside. The one-time convent feels like a special place, a quiet and peaceful retreat to return to after our days visiting Bordeaux, Saint-Émilion, Bergerac, and environs. The suite is spacious, very clean, has useful amenities, and we settled in easily. A vase of fresh flowers on the dining table and a bottle of local wine were nice touches that we especially appreciated. John was a helpful, informative, and friendly host. We enjoyed meeting him and will remember our stay there fondly. Thank you, John.
