Stoney Haven is just 2 1/2 miles from Hardin Valley Rd. where you will find eating places, unique stores, and Pellissippi State Community College. If you are into major shopping, Turkey Creek is only 8.4 miles away. 3 1/2 miles away is the Univ. of TN Arboretum. There you will find unique plants and trails.

The bedroom has one King bed, a queen size inflatable bed that can be set-up for extra guests, a sofa, ceiling fan, closet, night stands, portable radian heather, portable fan, and a dresser. Parking for two or more vehicles. Only two adults live in the main floor of the house.

The suite is spacious, comfortable and very private. From the private pathway to the private patio and the private entrance, and now including the private plunge pool just for your use!

Historic year-round cabin along lakeshore w/dock

The lake home was built in the early 1930's to house the engineers constructing the entire TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) system that created dams and hydro-electric power throughout the region. It also provided jobs that helped with employment during the Great Depression. A wonderful addition we made recently was a dock, which remains in the water from sometime in March until late October. Please note this is an old, quaint home. It has its quirks.

If you are looking for a romantic get away in the smoky mountains that feels like you are staying in a cottage in the woods, Mary’s Cottage is perfect! Not only is the cottage immensely cozy and charming, it is surrounded by gorgeous scenery. The pictures listed are accurate, but at the same time pale in comparison to seeing it in person. The host, Jessica, is tremendously welcoming and friendly. I appreciate her for anticipating our needs and reaching out to us with helpful instructions, instead of waiting to see if there were any issues. It’s evident, by the wonderfully executed personal touches, that she has poured her heart and soul into making sure this cottage feels like a home away from home. Mary’s cottage is the ideal destination for romantic getaways, newly weds, or even a family vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay—the house was spotless and clearly very well cared for, which made it feel welcoming and comfortable from the moment we arrived. Mary was an excellent host: incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with whenever we had a question or needed anything. Volunteer City Getaway is a WONDERFUL place to stay. We stayed for a girls weekend and everyone in the group agreed it was the perfect place, more cost effective than a hotel room and waaaaaay better than a hotel room!!! The apartment has everything essential you need, it was spotless (and I’m a clean freak), in a great location for everything Knoxville, tastefully decorated, comfortable bed and floor mattress, good quality linens and kitchen supplies. We will definitely stay here again. Don’t look elsewhere, this place is great!!!!

Jes's place is very much like the pictures inside and at the dock, spotless and phenomenal kicken, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living area, perfect for a large group. Shampoo/conditioner/body wash, well stocked kitchen, linens, comfy beds (we found the bed particularly comfy!). The dock is lovely, just know it is down a VERY long set of stairs. The property is on a hill by the water and the driveway is also quite steep. Plenty of room to park. One grill is by the house, the other is down closer to the dock, both charcoal. Recommend for a large group!
