Waterfront holiday rentals in Amsterdam

Our second time at Sebastian’s wonderful Airbnb. This location is perfect as it’s quiet and yet very near the busier sections of town. Sebastian is a terrific host and everything is as described. He is very friendly and makes sure all is well:-) You will not find a better property !

Perfect for one or a few nights.

A top accommodation, a whole experience

Karin was an excellent host; very kind and caring. She gave us directions to the house. She was there to hand the key and a tour of the house. She was very welcoming and warm. The house was as described, clean and functional. She left some things for breakfast in the fridge, which was a very kind gesture and very convenient. We would undoubtingly recommend a stay at her place.

Kim is very responsive to any communications. Well equips home. Left some items by way of coffee etc to help when you first arrive.

The space is amazing with natural sunlight coming into the living room area. It is definitely big enough for 2 or 3 people. The kitchen has all the basics that are necessary for basic meals.

We had a wonderful stay at Bert and Marieke's spacious apartment. We were welcomed by Bert who helped us with our luggage up the stairs and showed us into their well appointed 2 bedroom apartment. It had everything we could need. The apartment was beautiful. We would highly recommend staying here. Thank you Bert and Marieke.

The location is in front of harbor and very close to the historic center of Monnickendam. Bus access was very good for nearby towns and villages, including Marken, Volendam, Edam and Broek in Waterland. I was happy to see the sunrise across the harbor and yachts from the window of this attic apartment. I also really liked the check-in time was early from 13:00. This made me to leave my bags in the apartment early and explore Monnickendam well in the afternoon. It is very good for especially a short term stay in this well organized clean apartment. Joke and Peter were both friendly hosts.

We were traveling by bike and used Ben and Inge's accommodation for 3 nights. On the one hand, the proximity of Amsterdam (with a bus stop nearby and the train from Weesp... totally easy!) and the really beautiful small towns of Weesp, Muiden and Naarden. Inge brought us an incredibly great breakfast every morning on request. She is a great, very friendly hostess. Thank you very much for this great start to the day. We felt totally comfortable with Ben and Inge and appreciated their hospitality very much. The small independent apartment is very quiet, very clean and cozy (as in the photos). Actually a real insider tip, ....psst,but don't tell anyone :-) Thank you, Inge and Ben for the great time! Thomas & Astrid

This is a lovely home in a quiet and stunning setting on the water. Great for families with kids. This is a great location to explore the lake from and has lots of amenities available for the guests to keep kids busy. Hosts were so friendly and welcoming and made us feel at home. Highly recommend a stay here.

Everything was fantastic! We'll definitely be back

The apartment is great, but the absolute highlight is the terrace on 3 sides of the house, right on the water. The large glass fronts in the living room provide a view of the water, which makes the apartment special even in cool temperatures. The only downside is that you'd rather not go on an excursion, but just stay in the apartment.

One of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed in! It was spotlessly clean (not a speck of dust anywhere!), everything had been thought of (including a welcome bottle of bubbles!), it was spacious, and very convenient for public transport....oh, and stylishly decorated! Being close to the train station meant that we could easily get into central Amsterdam, as well as go on day trips to Rotterdam and Zaanse Schans during our stay. Our favourite day was renting bikes in Zaanse Schans for the day and enjoying cycling through the countryside. Very happily recommend this place to others looking for a base near Amsterdam.

We booked the house because it appealed to us from the reviews. Our expectations were far exceeded. We arrived at a house where we immediately felt at home. In the kitchen there is everything you need for daily use. Everything is very clean and tastefully decorated. Communication with Saskia was possible without any problems. We rented the house with a friendly couple and went home after a week very well recovered. We can recommend the house without hesitation. We would like to come back next autumn. After a long day in Amsterdam, we enjoyed the peace and quiet in Broek in Waterland at Haico. The house is cozy and offers everything we needed: a comfortable bed, a clean shower and a well-equipped kitchen where we could prepare our breakfast and make small meals such as pasta or sandwiches in the evening. The location is ideal for getting to Amsterdam quickly, and the bus connection is very good.

We had the most wonderful stay. The Garage was perfect for what we needed. It was beautifully done, Sanny and Dennis had thought of everything. It had a lovely feeling to it, was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Check in was really easy. We used the bikes (thank you!) and the location was a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Alkmaar. We would not hesitate to return. Thank you for creating such a cool and beautiful space. We had a wonderful stay! The hosts were incredibly friendly and warm – you felt welcome from the first moment. The breakfast was excellent and prepared with a lot of love. Our little son also felt completely comfortable, which is particularly important to us as a family. We really enjoyed the time and will definitely return. See you soon! My family of four stayed at Max’s place for four nights. The location is great, with just about an hour’s drive to many popular destinations in Holland. The view of the lake from the balcony was beautiful. The apartment was clean and spacious. We truly enjoyed our stay in this quiet and peaceful neighborhood, and we will recommend it to our friends and family if they visit Holland in the future.

We had a lovely long weekend in Zandvoort. For a few days, the apartment is absolutely sufficient, the village center is right outside the front door and it is also only a 5-10 minute walk to the beach. Despite the attic and bright sunshine, it was quite cool when the blinds remained closed. Suus was always available for questions. Communication was very straightforward right from the beginning. Absolutely recommended for a relaxing time in Zandvoort.

What a fantastic apartment. The location was perfect, just a 10 minute walk to the ferry terminal and then around 15 minute ferry journey to central Amsterdam. Monique was a really great host and communicative from the first time I booked the apartment right throughout our stay. I would highly recommend staying here. We loved everything about our stay at the Studio. The picturesque town of Uitgeest left a very warm feeling in our hearts, the studio was very cosy with nicely thought out details and a comfortable bed. We would have loved to spend more time here exploring.

Yvonne's place is really nice and exactly as described. There was nothing missing for us. You can also sit comfortably by the canal.
