Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Amsterdam

Wir waren drei Nächte an diesem sehr schönen und ruhigen Ort. Die Unterkunft ist sehr nett und einladend eingerichtet. Wenn man Glück mit dem Wetter hat, sieht man den Sonnenuntergang vom Sofa aus und kann die Atmosphäre der Region mit einem Getränk gemütlich geniessen. Besser als jedes Fernsehprogramm :-). Sehr guter Ausgangspunkt um Noord-Holland zu erkunden und auch im Zentrum von Amsterdam ist man mit dem Bus unerwartet schnell (18 Min von Dörfchen Ilpendam mit dem Schnellbus). Sehr nette und zurückhaltende Gastgeber. Können wir uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

We loved our stay at Mabel’s cottage while we visited the Netherlands to celebrate my bachelorette! The house has a good mix of seclusion and convenience: there aren’t many neighbors nearby, which offers a good amount of privacy. It is also conveniently located right across the street from the train station - which is two stops (~15 minutes) to Amsterdam Central Station. If you wish to visit a different city other than Amsterdam on your stay, Haarlem was ~20 minutes and is another very cute and quaint city. The home was decorated beautifully and was maintained very well. Nonetheless, Mabel made us all feel right at home and was quick to respond whenever we had a question. I would highly recommend staying here - thank you again Mabel for hosting us!!

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich sehr gemütlich und einladend gestaltet. Durch die vorhandenen Rituals Produkte hat das Haus zudem sehr gut geduftet. Zu der direkten Umgebung kann ich nur gutes berichten. Es ist schön ruhig und idyllisch gelegen trotzdem kommt man innerhalb von gut 20 Minuten mit dem Auto nach Zandvoort oder Amsterdam. Ruud hat uns hierzu wirklich sehr hilfreiche Tipps mitgegeben. Zudem wurden wir vom Parkplatz aus persönlich von ihm zur Unterkunft begleitet, was einen sofort positiv ankommen lässt. Wir haben die Zeit hier sehr genossen. :)

Lovely stay in a beautiful location with easy access to Amsterdam using public transport. Very helpful hosts with frequent communication answering any questions and even booking dinner on our behalf. Highly recommended!

Ce très bel appartement à la décoration soignée est en tous points conforme aux photos. Tout en étant dans une rue calme, il est très bien placé et de nombreux restaurants et activités sont disponibles à pied. Nous avons été très bien accueillies et Monica à toujours répondu à nos interrogations avec amabilité et diligence. Une vraie bonne adresse pour découvrir Amsterdam !!!

We had a great stay at Michelle’s. She is a very friendly host and answers questions quickly. The place is exactly as described and shown on the pictures. The surroundings are quiet and beautiful, and the commute to the city is easy.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt während wir ein Workshop in Haarlem besucht haben. Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön und modern eingerichtet, alles war super sauber, der Garten ist traumhaft schön und die Kommunikation mit Bou war super. Wir würden es jedem weiter empfehlen :)

Hote super sympa, apparemment propre et très bien pour un week-end, à 10 minutes du métro, 10 minutes d'un supermarché etc et pas en plein centre donc calme le soir et la journée

Saskia und Tijmen so liebe und herzliche Gastgeber. Die Wohnung liegt schön ruhig und der kleine Garten ist traumhaft. Es ist ein richtig schöner Rückzugsort zu zweit, wir haben es sehr genossen. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und es ist alles vorhanden, sogar Fahrräder konnten wir kostenlos leihen. Mit den Fahrrädern ging es auch auf Tour entlang des Haarlemer Meer, nach Haarlem und bis zur Küste (alles machbar). Die Gegend ist sehr schön, die Stadt Haarlem sehr sehenswert und entlang des Haarlemer Meeres gibt es viel zu entdecken. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Danke für eine tolle Zeit.

Perfect voor één of een paar nachtjes.

Fantastic apartment, really clean and comfortable in a great neighbourhood: peaceful but walking distance to everything you could need. Loes and Fokke are wonderful hosts, warm and helpful- we had a brilliant few days exploring the city from the perfect base.

Great place, right next to central station and a short walk to the canals

Superbe appartement, dans un quartier résidentiel mais vivant. Nous avons tout fait à pied (moins de 30min du centre) ou en transport. L’appartement est vraiment bien équipé et propre, excellent goût pour la décoration. Christopher a été très réactif, flexible et serviable, un grand merci! Nous nous sommes régalées et recommandons cet appartement !

Cozy spot from which to explore Amsterdam! Felt part of the community and easy to walk or get public transport to visit other parts of the city. Madelinde’s place felt private and safe and was perfect for our visit and communication and support were terrific.

What a wonderful stay in Amsterdam. It was a beautiful place, we were allowed to check in early after an overnight flight which was amazing. We could open the big windows and overlook the canal, great living room space, kitchen, new bathroom and very roomy and cozy bedroom. Very helpful, friendly host, super responsive. We enjoyed sitting by the windows enjoying the view over or morning coffee or afternoon wine. He left the fridge and place with some snacks/drinks which was so nice. We would stay here again, it was a bit $$ but you cannot beat the space inside, and the views out the windows that fully open!

Laurens was so friendly and responsive! His place is in a great location and was super clean. Highly recommend staying here!

We had a particular reason to visit Amsterdam and selected carefully from the available options. We also needed to be well placed in relation to museums and concert hall. Anthony’s accommodation was perfect and stood out as being one of the most spacious, well designed, generously supplied, and carefully finished. Everything was notably clean and ‘hi-spec’ and the modern facilities covered every need. The bed was large and comfortable, and we particularly liked the wallpaper pattern of the dancing red-capped cranes that surrounded it. As ‘newbies’ to the delights of the latest tech, we very much enjoyed that the washing machine sang Schubert’s ‘Die Forelle’ to us to let us know it had reached the end of the cycle! We appreciated the provision of coffee, tea, and basic supplies. We were well informed, we felt secure, and very hospitably provided for. Anthony was friendly and responsive to every message prior to and during our stay. Being there was a pleasure. Highly recommended.

Das Haus liegt in einer wunderschönen und ruhigen Umgebung. Es ist für Naturliebhaber leicht zu erreichen und dennoch nur 25 Minuten vom Stadtzentrum Amsterdams entfernt. Wir vermissten lediglich eine größere Spüle zum Abwaschen des Frühstücksgeschirrs. Insgesamt war es aber eine sehr sympathische Erfahrung.

Jessica and her partner were very proactive and we were greeted the minute we parked the car. They live right next door. The apartment was immaculate and the views are stunning. Also good recommendations for nearby restaurants. Thanks for the hospitality.

Wonderful space! Beautiful interior, very well equipped for everything you might need over a long weekend stay. Marina was lovely, very helpful and communicative. The bed was extremely comfortable, location excellent, every part of the space is well thought out and would highly recommend it to anyone!

Location is perfect, place is nice and roomy, steps and hallway are a bit narrow but was totally fine for us. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Cute cafe nearby for breakfast. Host was great as well. Lots of good recommendations!!

This place was wonderful! It was just as described. We enjoyed listening to the birds (wild parakeets and others) as we sat on the balcony in the mornings. The stairs are steep and narrow but that is just part of being in Amsterdam. One thing to note, there are 2 showers, 2 sinks, but only 1 toilet. It didn’t cause any problem for me, but those staying in the first floor bedroom will have to climb up stairs in the middle of the night. Overall, I highly recommend!

We enjoyed staying at Fleur’s apartment. It is very close to a tram stop which made it easy to get around, and it was well situated between the main areas of the city, making it a good base to explore from. The apartment was nice - it had everything we needed for a couple days in the city. The only thing to note is that the stairs within the apartment (from living area to bedroom) are narrow and steep, but this seems quite typical of stairs in this area- the same was true of stairs in restaurants in the area. Overall we had a great stay and I would stay there again!

A lovely apartment in a brilliant area of the city. The apartment is very well facilitated and the hosts are very good at providing the information you need for the stay. Would absolutely recommend.
