Family-friendly holiday rentals in Amatecampo

We had an amazing experience at Joe's place in Xanadu. Although we came across a couple of glitches, Joe quickly responded to my messages and had assistance readily available. He's also a very caring host. One suggestion I would make is probably access to better internet or WiFi. During my stay, we had a couple of minor health issues going on and it took some effort to get a good signal to communicate with Joe, Uber drivers and other family members to ask for assistance. I found a few spots around the house with relatively good reception, however, in instances when it's hard to move around or want to stay away from the heat, a better signal would have taken that additional stress off. Other than that, Joe's place is wonderful and he is an amazing host. Highly recommend him and his place. Thank you for being such an amazing host.

This place was great. Awesome hospitality. The space was more than enough room for 3 people with all the amenities that we needed and then some, the area was very secure. The beach is a short distance away and was beautiful. Cannot say enough how great the place was. Thank you very much for the pleasant stay.

What you see is what you get but one thing I would say , the WiFi is spotty most of the time and in the master bedroom , good luck . The WiFi 9/10 did not work even on the tv but besides that , 10/10 stay

The house was beautiful and as described. We took our grandmother there to get her out of her home in the city for a few days and it was just perfect. She was happy and at peace. It was worth it. The pool was great and the hosts were friendly.

Amazing location and place to stay, the views are immaculate and the hammocks made it all the more relaxing!! The place was quite clean despite the years long wear and tear on the facilities. Check in worked, but would have been a bit difficult if you do not speak Spanish as there was a security gate with a guard asking where you are trying to go. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here! The people maintaining the place were very friendly and kind :)

Our stay was overall wonderful. The hosts were responsive and accommodating to our requests. The house itself was beautiful—comfortable and tastefully furnished with charming, hacienda-style décor. The kitchen and bathrooms were well-stocked with most essentials we needed. While the location is a bit remote and intricate to find, it added to the retreat-like feel of the property. Two of the bedrooms unfortunately do not have air conditioning which in ES is necessary, especially during the afternoon. The pool was perfect for relaxing, and the lush garden surroundings inside the property were absolutely beautiful, with plenty of fruit trees and even horses grazing nearby—a nice touch. The lakefront could use some improvement, cleaning of the vegetation or a pier, but you can walk to a nearby small beach area for access. There are also local restaurants nearby. A special mention to Juan, the property caretaker—he was phenomenal. Incredibly helpful, thoughtful, and attentive.

Diane was very flexible with early check in and late check out. My family and I felt right at home enjoying every amenity rancho Cajun had to offer. The house is equipped with everything you need. Diane was very helpful and informative also recommended near by restaurants. If you want a nice quite relaxing ranch in El Salvador truly recommend rancho Cajun. Thank you again Diane! The house is a real charm, structured on different levels that look out to the sea, each space has its special touch. Everything is designed for you to relax and enjoy. Shalpa beach is simply spectacular. It is small, quiet, surrounded by nature and birds, which makes you feel as if you are in a personal paradise. Ideal for those looking to disconnect and enjoy a natural environment. My family had an amazing time, we were all delighted with the place. It is undoubtedly a highly recommended accommodation. We would return without hesitation!

This place was truly a hidden paradise, el Tunco itself is paradise and having this place to come back to away from the life outside the gate made the trip perfect. Such peace, beautiful pool to swim, outdoor kitchen to hang out in, and the elevated living area was a sanctuary in itself. Rebecca is a lovely addition to the stay, so kind & helpful. I felt safe and comfortable throughout my stay here. Thank you.

The best place, great location and excellent communication

Staying at Casita Escondida for a month has been nothing short of magical. In English, the name translates to “little hidden house,” but it is so much more than that—it’s a hidden gem of peace, beauty, and warmth. Each morning began with breathtaking sunrises, and each evening closed with serene sunsets over the ocean-facing mountains. The lush landscaping, vibrant greenery, inviting swimming pool, and peaceful terrace created an atmosphere of total tranquility. From one side of the terrace, I looked out over nature’s splendour—and from the other, I was graced with the presence of my host, whose heart of gold added depth and kindness to this beautiful stay. The accommodations are serene, thoughtfully designed, and perfect for rest and reflection. Just a short walk down the hill lies a charming little village and the ocean, offering the best of both worlds: secluded calm and local life. I leave Casita Escondida with a full heart and immense gratitude. A truly unforgettable experience

Private, neat and with everything you need to cook, in complex it is in front of the beach, very nice.

What an amazing week in El Salvador! Tyler and Eva were so helpful and responsive as we prepared for our visit and during our stay. The home and setting was perfect for my family (including our 5 kids). All the windows and breezes from ocean, so peaceful! The beach was accessible everyday, thou late afternoons the tide was high (and waves rough) so we opted for pool during those times. It was our first visit to El Salvador and we took many day trips from our house to coffee farm, cacao farm, surfing and volcanos. It was great location for these many excursions. We used nearby el Zonte and el Tunco for wonderful dinner options each night. Thank you so much for our stay!

For the group we were very comfortable, we had an excellent experience, and the couple who serves, were always at our service in what we needed.

Lots of natural light, big windows. Gorgeous pool that was cleaned every day Close to El Tunco Supermarket, coffee, food across the street Beachfront Host always around & extremely helpful Yard maintained very well Gated & fenced. Always felt safe.
