This 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom also includes a dock for your boat in the summer as well as a fire pit for evening s’mores. Kayak the the creek next door to the property or catch fish on beautiful long lake, winter or summer. Hiking, biking and adventures await.

A historic home in downtown Alpena MI along the shores of Lake Huron, most likely built in the early 1900's. House "La Mer Douce" is charming and comfortable. If these walls could talk...they would share stories about Alpena and the early commercial fishing port that soon after soon grew to be one of the nation’s most profitable lumber harvesting locations. My place is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Alpena. There are a variety of restaurants and bars all within 1/4 mile. Lake Huron is my front yard, with tennis and basketball courts available for public use. The Alpena bandshell is a hop and skip from my house; every Saturday there’s a concert in the summer. There are two public beaches within a mile. And you can see masts from sailboats out my front window as the boat harbor is my neighbor.

Enjoy the wrap around deck, perfect for that morning cup of coffee or recouping after a long day of swimming, kayaking, fishing or just a long day at work. Finish your evening star gazing down on the beach while keeping warm by the bonfire. You are sure to feel right at home at our Cabin on The Shores.

MacFannon Farm Lake Cabin

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful cottage in Posen near Alpena and Lake Huron. The cabin sits on a private 3 acre lake across from our farmhouse.. You are free to roam our 33 acres of farmland and forests. It literally is a dream and the air is so fresh. There is a fire pit for nightly fires while you watch for shooting stars. Bring your kayaks and paddle boards for daytime activities on the lake, including swimming.

Lakefront oasis....Beaver Lake is an all sports 665 acre gem, located in northern Michigan. Enjoy fishing, boating, kayaking or just relaxing on this 77' deep crystal clear inland lake. We have a blue aqua-cycle that guests may use, but we ask that all guests wear life jackets if you do choose to use the aqua-cycle. (life jackets are hanging up in the bedroom closet.)
