Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Alpena County

This was such a fun spot. We really enjoyed our stay. The little white church was even more spacious and beautiful than the photos suggested. No complaints during our stay. The location was perfect, we had such a lovely visit. Thank you for the hospitality!!

Booked this on a whim without really checking the description - and oh my goodness, we were very pleasantly surprised! This home is more beautiful in person, the pics don't do justice. It was like staying at a place straight from a HGTV magazine. It also came fully stocked with drinks, snacks, and yummy cinnamon cake! You can tell there was a lot of love and thought put into this home to make it an unforgettable experience. We hope to stay again!

Clean and comfortable cottage overlooking Lake Huron with easy walking access to the sandy beach. Particularly enjoyed sitting on the back deck with a cup of tea to take in the lake view.

The house is comfortable and inviting, the bed we slept in was comfortable. There are plenty of towels and blankets. The kitchen is well equipped and easy to cook in. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and watching birds from the deck, along the driveway, and on the nearby trail. The house is located not far from Alpena, which is fun to visit, and there are many parks and beaches nearby. It was nice to drive north as well, and to explore the Presque Isle area. We saw beautiful wildflowers and had gorgeous beaches to ourselves. (We visited in May.) we had a wonderful stay.

Host went out of his way to make sure we had items for the kids; crib and toys.

Best way to describe this stay was PERFECT, lake Huron is in the backyard crystal clear water private sandy beach my kids had fun for hours, not to mention they loved the lawn games and the peaceful bon fire on the beach, Jennie was a great host and is very accommodating quick to answer with any questions 5 mins or else, the home itself was more than what i could have expected super clean super spacious my wife loved the kitchen she felt right at home the house was overstocked and organized like something out of a magazine but better than the magazine! Oh and everything is within a 5 -10 minute drive food, shopping, groceries, i could go on and on this was great memory for me and family can’t wait to check out their other properties this summer !

All I can say is AMAZING!!! The house was spotless!! There was everything you could think of already there, from extra bedding, toiletries, fans, kitchen supplies!! The setting was beautiful! Very quiet and very comfortable. Hosts were very friendly and responsive to answer any questions! Would definitely recommend for a family stay!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and smelled great. Quiet neighborhood with the house located on a dead end street next to a fishing dock and across from a sandy public beach. Having access to the golf cart was a great added touch. The water was low so we couldn’t fish, but it was still a beautiful place to stay on the water. Only issue we had was the back porch doors not having curtains/blinds leaving little privacy after dark and very bright sun coming in in the afternoons. I highly recommend this place to people looking to relax.

Matthew and Betsy, We want to say thanks for letting us stay at your awesome cabin this weekend. It was such a great experience, and your hospitality made everything even better. The cabin was super clean, and the property was beautiful. We truly appreciate all the effort you put into making our stay so comfortable, memorable and relaxing. Even though Matthew tried to make a big fire, Mother Nature wasn't having it, but his efforts were admirable. Great place to satay.

Beautiful setting! Water was sandy and shallow near the dock for the kiddos to play in. Had a couple kayaks a canoe and paddle board for use. House was clean and we found everything we needed in the kitchen. Bathrooms were clean and had plenty of extra towels and beach towels. Host was very responsive and recommendations she made were excellent. Even had some yard games and toys there for the kids to play with. We would definitely go back!

This was an exceptional place. Very quiet Ava serene. Matt and Betsy were very accommodating, kind, and friendly. They went above and beyond providing all accommodations throughout my week stay. A+.

I was in town for business and thankfully Stacey had a place available because this was such a fun experience!! We had a beautiful cabin in the woods surrounded by nature what could be better!😊 Stacey has a little store to buy a few grocery items and some handmade items too. Great selection of movies to pick from since there is no cable, that was great too!! I could go on about how wonderful this place is but Stacey and her husband are really the gems here! If you have the opportunity to stay here when you are in Alpena BOOK IT!! You will not be disappointed. If I could do more than 5 stars I would⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Owners are amazing, perfect place for a peaceful get-a-way. I was given a tour around the entire property and had a great time talking with them. Very accommodating, can’t wait to get a chance to stay again! Thanks so much!

Great place far away from public. Long way off the main road, but that is what makes it great. Private and surrounded by woods. Lots of areas to explore. Appreciate allowing dogs, they were able to explore and run leash free. This place has made it to our favorites. The home was clean and comfortable with a nice covered porch to relax on.

My family and I had such a great time. Super super clean, my adult daughter LOVED the nostalgia of the cabin. Super easy access to the very nice sandy beach. If you love the woods and are a beach person, this place is for you! Tom was very quick to answer and very friendly and helpful. Loved our stay and made memories here 💖
