Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Ålesund

The pictures don't lie! I can't imagine a lovelier scene or a better place to appreciate it.This is a spacious, comfortable house above the fjord with lots of light and broad views both down and across the water. We were kept indoors for a couple of rainy days and still didn't feel cooped up. The house, at the end of the road, provides both peace and privacy. The nearby village of Saebo is small, but free of cruise ships and masses of tourists; larger communities are not distant for shopping, restaurants, and charging EVs. Per Ove could not have been a better host - I had lots of questions before we arrived, and he always answered promptly and fully. He was also ready to respond to any questions we had about the house and area while we were there. What most impressed me: he knew we were driving from Oslo and texted us while we were on the road to tell us that the usual route into Saebo (the one shown on our GPS guide) was closed, giving us the alternate route we would need to take.

We had a great stay at Silje’s place. She and her husband were great hosts. Very considerate and friendly. The house itself is in a stunning location with everything you need to feel right at home.

You can relax delightfully in the sauna and hot tub and relax in the swing overlooking the water. Our favorite place was the seat "in" the window. We would gladly came back. Thanks for everything

I had an exceptional stay at this accommodation. The location is perfect, offering stunning views, and everything you need is conveniently close by. The house owner is incredibly kind and responsive, always ready to assist with anything we needed. The living room is wonderfully cozy, furnished with great taste, making you feel right at home from the moment you step in. The space is also very spacious and fully equipped, providing all the comfort and enjoyment you could ask for. The neighborhood is peaceful, and the home matches the photos exactly. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and are already considering returning for another stay in the future. Highly recommend.

Monica and Håkan were very friendly, helpful and good hosts. They were always quick to help with any questions. We rented one of the boats for a day and Håkan explained everything to us well and prepared the fishing. The place is really highly recommended and we will be happy to come back 🙂

Great home, views from the windows are superb and amazing. very clean house and including everything you may need.

The place was in a great location, it was a shame that we only stayed for one night and didn't have time to get a good view of the surrounding scenery, had a good communication with the host and when we struggled, immediately delegated his brother to come and help resolve.

This stay was like stepping directly into the life of a Norwegian family. In my opinion this is exactly what an Airbnb experience should be. Great that we could use all the materials and the wellness options. Thanks!

This is a special place! Best of everything Norway has to offer. Quaint island community, a perfect peaceful getaway with easy and scenic drives to Alesund (15mins) or day trips to Loen, Stryn, and Geiranger. Traveled with another family and all had our own spaces, with beautiful accommodations, well appointed & extremely clean. The neighbor kids immediately greeted our two children and fast friends were made. We would sit outside on the deck or pier and listen to sounds of kids laughing and having fun everywhere, pulling fish, snails or crabs out of the water over & over again or playing at the local playground. Not to mention the hospitality of the neighbors (homemade strawberry jam, an evening fishing trip, and some local crab claw snacks). And hiking….. the most spectacular views hiking to Storhornet and back down the ridge to the island school. Meanwhile, the adults enjoyed the endless views from nearly every spot outside or inside the house. Core memories made!

Had a brilliant stay together with our extended family, mine of us in total. A great space for young and old. Very good communication with host. Would definately reccomend.

Wonderful and unique property in a stunningly beautiful natural landscape. We wish we could have stayed longer to spend more time here. Easily the best lodging of our trip and likely the best airbnb we’ve ever stayed at. All of the various indoor/ outdoor areas at the property are awesome. And we were very lucky with weather and only one rainy day. It is quite steep/ many steps up and down between the main house, cabin, and boat house with additional lounge areas down by the water so may not be for everyone. Toril and her husband were also so gracious to show us all around the property at check in, even a bit later than expected. This place was very special and would love to stay there again some day!

For those of us who were going to an event in Vigrahallen, this was a great place to stay .

We stayed here for our honeymoon and WOW what an amazing place. The views from the cabin are insane, we were snowed in for a few days but the cabin was the perfect place for a few slow days! Ellen-Kristine and Bjørn we're really helpful and quick to respond when we had any questions. They even got a friendly neighbour to check we were ok when the unexpected snow arrived! For outdoor activities the location is perfect, Stranda itself is very quiet, it's a fairly long drive (40mins) for any nice restaurants, but that was fine with us!

We had a wonderful stay at Merete and Jesper’s beautiful home. The house was cozy, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It was the perfect place to unwind, and we felt at home right away. You can really tell how much thought and care has gone into making it such a special place. This stay was a real highlight of our trip—we’d love to come back. We had such a wonderful time at this cabin! It was perfect for our small group of friends. We really enjoyed the breathtaking view while preparing meals in the kitchen, grilling in the gazebo, and relaxing in the hot tub. Hanne and Ole were very hospitable and the communication was excellent before during and after our stay. We hope to all visit again soon!

The place is just perfect - everything fits the photos. The cabin is large, comfortable and well equipped with a great location and a wonderful view of the mountains. Contact with the hosts was always friendly and helpful. The hot tub is still the icing on the cake - we really enjoyed our stay.

Cute, cozy cabin right on a gorgeous lake with a million dollar view. I know it's cliché but, the pictures absolutely do not do justice to what the view is actually like. Just perfect! The cabin is far enough from town to feel remote but close enough to town to take care of any grocery or dining needs.

One of the best Airbnb’s my family and I have ever stayed at. Hot tub and sauna were perfect, Oddvar & Yngvil have a beautiful and well cared for cabin perfect for families. Totally recommend!

We had a wonderful week at the cabin. Lots of snow made the vacation very adventurous but also very cozy. We even saw incredible northern lights! The communication with Sigve was very pleasant as he was very easy to reach. This cabin was perfect for our winter getaway. Thank you so much for the nice week.

5 stars – A Dream Stay in Norway! This stay was truly unforgettable. The home was absolutely stunning — perched in a breathtaking location with sweeping views of the mountains and a peaceful river flowing nearby. Every detail was perfect, from the cozy yet elegant interior to the incredible wine room and the expansive deck where we spent hours just soaking in the scenery. Two sparkling clean bathrooms made our stay extra comfortable, and the surprise addition of sheep wandering nearby added such a magical, authentic touch to the Norwegian countryside experience. But what truly made this stay exceptional was the host. After a disappointing experience at another Airbnb, we were in a tough spot — and they welcomed us last minute with kindness and grace. The host was incredibly accommodating, responsive, and genuinely warm. We couldn’t have asked for a better place or a better person to host us. If you're coming to Norway, this is the kind of experience you're dreaming of.
