Holiday rentals with lake access in Albemarle County

If, like us, you are looking place to stay where you and your pet can be comfortable, then this place is excellent. The neighborhood is very nice, safe and quiet. The home is spacious and filled with lovely, interesting, creative and thought-provoking things, but not fancy you’d-be-afraid-to-touch things. There are lots of things to do, see, hear, eat and drink quite close by. The host is an amazing person - kind, intelligent, helpful and open. She also has deep roots in Crozet/Charlottesville and can answer any question you might have.

We loved staying at Leora's place. Would definately stay again! Me and my family were very comortable and loved the surroundings! My husband and I enjoyed a peaceful time on the canoes that were provided at the lake close by and really loved the scenery. When we were settled in after many outings, it was so nice to relax on the deck and screened in porch and also enjoy the board games that were provided. The place was very spacious and had everything that you would need. Wish we could of stayed longer!

To live with El, was like living with a friend. She helped out with all her knowledge about the region when needed and helped me to feel integrated very quickly. I enjoyed the calm of the area and felt very safe.

This cabin is a hidden gem in the woods near Shenandoah—peaceful, stunning, and surrounded by nature. If you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful escape with breathtaking views, this is the place. Photos don’t do it justice. One of the most serene stays I’ve ever had.

We really enjoyed this house with its incredible view of the pond and lovely garden. Lots of space both inside and out. The location felt like it was way out in the country, but it was minutes from town and only 30 minutes from restaurants in Charlottesville. We also like how close it was to Massanutten. Great hosts.

This was my first Air BnB experience. I was most pleased with the experience. The home was clean, well stocked and imminently comfortable. Great location, on a quiet residential street with easy access to all of the events we had planned. Sara was a delight, easy to work with, generous and helpful.

We had a great time and would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a Charlottesville weekend. The Host was super accommodating and helpful, and took the time to meet us at check in and explain the space as well as provide information regarding things to do in the surrounding areas. She also made herself available for any other inquiries that we had both in the time leading up to the reservation and while we were there. The property itself has an excellent location close to many of the attractions in UVA and the surrounding areas. Would definitely stay here again the future.

We loved everything about our stay with sara. her home was beautiful and welcoming an amazing setting. Our room was beautiful.The furniture was beautiful and her decorations were very creative. We had everything we needed and she was very proactive and asking us if we needed anything extra. Sarah makes a great cup of coffee ❤️ and she's very friendly and has great suggestions.

This was the second stay at Vickie's for me. The location stands out for its peace. natural beauty and charming gardens. Vickie really is a terrific host. She is warm, positive, flexible, and eager to ensure your stay is a good one. The accommodations are clean and comfortable. I'd recommend morning coffee in one of the big, comfortable chairs near the bird feeder!

This is my second time here. Love the quiet, and relaxed atmosphere. The location is perfect for what I needed.

Fantastic apartment on a beautiful lakefront property within short drive to Charlottesville. Highly recommend this place. Very clean and quiet, close to a trail and walking path that runs quite a ways down local streets/highway as well as around the lake.

We really enjoyed our along Memorial day weekend (May, 2025) at the White Lotus. "An oasis in the middle of nowhere" as described by one of the other friendly guests we met there. We particularly enjoyed the sauna after a good hike. The Sauna exeeded our expectation as it was an authentic wood fire Sauna, exactly how we envisioned it. Work was ongoing to make the experience 100 times better by insstalling what we hope would be a cold water pool for a dip after relaxing in the Sauna. In addition, the surrounding was kind of magical, birds singing in the moning and stars shining in the sky in the evening. for us, this was a fantastic experience and we will certainly return. I had a great abs peaceful time in the White Lotus Suite. I would have loved to have known that the suite is located on the second floor of the Castle in advance as I had a large musical instrument I was traveling with. Folks who need accessible accommodations should be aware that there is a flight of stairs!
