Historic Cottage in Downtown Charlottesville

AnneRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We were in town for a family wedding and enjoyed our stay in this charming historic cottage within walking distance (about 6 blocks) of the downtown mall. It was conveniently located and in a quiet residential part of town! The cottage was clean, comfortable and as described. Raul was quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. I would highly recommend staying here and we hope to stay here again on a future visit to Charlottesville.

Gladstone Cottage

Lisa Jones Rating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
A wonderful place to be away from the city & engulfed in the forest. The 2 horses are beautiful & one especially was healing to my anxiety from a hectic day of travel. The interior reminded me of grammas house from the 50’s as pictures show. It was clean & not musty. Original floors creaked sometimes especially in the kitchen. The bed was firm & good sheets. I loved the old bathtub & the hot water felt wonderful. Towels & amenities were very nice. The cottage has different art for sale from locals which I purchased. (Necklace & pot holders) The views were lovely as you couldn’t see any homes or streets. Charlottesville has a nice Saturday market & many restaurants & was only 20 minutes away as was Monticello Jefferson home & its trails. (A must do) I visited 3 wineries near by & attended 1/2 churches built in 1830. The drive is miles of horse farms & long drive ways of the rich & perhaps famous. There are no restaurants near by but a full kitchen for light cooking was fine

Hidden Gem near town and Monticello with a pool

LoweryRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
This is just someone opening their home, it is someone who loves to host; and it shows! Not only was the view incredible but the place felt like a home. From the little details (the “I forgot it at home” box, plenty of pool and bathroom towels, shampoo/conditioner/bodywash, having freshly ground coffee/sugar/sweetener, having spices and any kitchen utensils you could need, and even a heart keychain on the door and my name on the chalkboard). The bed was so comfortable and the shower pressure was amazing. The pool was great (although the weather was a little too cold for us to enjoy it fully)! The ceiling upstairs on one side of the bed was a little low but it was fine and worth it for a king bed. Every uber driver we had didn’t mind waiting for us as he just looked at the view. Would definitely stay here again!

It was truly Awesome location - seemingly 1mile everywhere, and always great comms with Matt always, nice to have in a host for sure. Definitely one of our better picks we have had in that area ! Many thanks again, we will certainly try and stay here again with Matt, if and when the opportunity arises!

Mountain Guesthouse*Hot Tub*WiFi*Firepit*Grill*SNP

KatherinRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
The Fox Den is one of the cleanest places we've ever stayed. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the hot tub, roasting marshmallows at the outdoor fireplace, grilling steak, and simply relaxing for a couple of days. The cottage had everything we needed for cooking and grilling. Although the cottage and hot tub are located next to the main house, we still felt a sense of privacy. We've been visiting different Airbnbs annually in the VA and PA areas, and the location of this one was excellent. We followed two of the recommendations from the provided guidebook, and they were amazing (Carter's Mountain Orchard and Fiorano Restaurant).

Eastham Guesthouse

CindiRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Eastham Guesthouse is a real gem. Tanner & Megan were extremely responsive and helpful. The place was like our home away from home. It has a full kitchen with every amenity needed. It’s only a 15-minute drive from downtown Charlottesville. It’s the perfect getaway for visiting wineries or for UVA parents visiting their child on campus. You won’t be disappointed.

Spacious carriage house on 1780’s farm

KellyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Tracy's carriage house is on a beautiful farm on top of a hill overlooking the mountains. We were close to everything we needed. It's beautifully decorated. I can't say enough but it felt like staying at a fine resort with pool, pool house, pickleball court, and areas for dogs to run. We would definitely stay here again if we are back in the area

Burnley Cottage

KaraRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a Great weekend get away for my wife’s Birthday. Shenandoah Nation Park was a short drive away with lists of trails. Plenty of Winery and Brewery in the area as well. The place is beautifully built and the kitchen was fully equipped for me to make dinners. There was also a large yard perfect for our Chocolate Lab to run.

Cozy Cottage Retreat at The Midway

AnnaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
If you want a place that feels rural and private, but is actually pretty close to great restaurants and grocery stores, this is it. There’s not a full kitchen , but you don’t really need it with just two people (and with us, two dogs). We enjoyed one of the restaurants recommended in the book prepared by the host. We also shopped for pastries, fresh fruit, and got great sandwiches to go at the host’s recommended grocery store. A 3/4-size refrigerator, a microwave, and a keurig met all our needs.

The Milton View with a pool

WilliamRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Very nice place to stay with great views of farms and mountains. The pictures are accurate and everything was very clean when we got there. The furniture and construction are all very high quality (comfortable king bed). The AC worked well and was quiet. The other unit was rented while we were there, but there were no noise issues (you could only faintly hear the outside door being closed, but no voices). The pool is also accurately pictured and the owners seem very reasonable about letting tenants use it freely. It is 10-15 minutes to most things in Charlottesville, but I would highly recommend for a peaceful and beautiful place to stay.

Belmont Hidden Gem

JenniferRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Great little extended weekend getaway at the Belmont Hidden Gem. Very clean and fresh, nicely appointed and perfect location for our trip. Having a private parking spot adjacent to the Airbnb is super convenient. The accommodations are better than described along with a very comfortable bed. Convenient location to all downtown has to offer and more. Ann thank you again for the coffee beans, fresh cream and recipe idea. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Charming one room cottage with parking.

AmandaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
This was the perfect spot for what I needed. It was decorated very cute and it was clean. I liked that it was private, had pots and pans to use, and a little patio set-up too. The host was very responsive and pro active in letting me know check-in and checkout and any other things that I needed. Will definitely stay here again if I’m in the area. Thank you!

3 Cottages on luxurious Keswick estate with pool

SandiRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We rented all three cottages for a family get away! We attended a wedding at Keswick Winery, it is 12 min away. The cottages are quaint and outfitted well for me to fix food for a family of 6. We enjoyed a mid morning lounging at the pool, and spending family time together before the wedding.

Beautiful property and pristine private house next to a vineyard. Hosts were terrific and came by immediately when we called to help us tune into the World Series Game 1. Unwind in Style at Charlottesville Cottage Extraordinaire

MattRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Cynthia’s cottage was just what we needed: quiet, comfortable, and close to Charlottesville and the University of Virginia. The place is incredibly charming, and Cynthia had it stocked with goodies (snacks, bottled water, and wine). She left a book that clearly described the cottage’s amenities and local attractions. Cynthia checked in on us during the first night of our stay, and she proved to be as charming and hospitable as the cottage itself. We will certainly be repeat customers!
