Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Albany County

This historic home is very clean, tastefully decorated, and has comfy beds. Another plus is the shower has plenty of warm water. The half bath downstairs has a nice washer and dryer. There were plenty of clean towels and blankets during our stay. I loved the location, as it is a safe neighborhood to walk around. Less than a quarter mile, there is a historic church with a beautiful garden. There is also a nice park on the river just down the side street. Many great places to eat within are within a few miles radius. Some we liked were Katie O'Byrnes, The Ritz on Union (good Italian food), Druther's Brewing Co, and the Iron Gate Cafe. Arthur's Market, directly across the street, is a nice place to get coffee, tea, baked goods, salads, and quiche. Although there is a little neighborhood traffic on front facing street, it is fairly quiet and relaxing at this location.

This was the perfect place for our stay. The house is small, as it is listed, and had everything we needed. Having a washer and dryer available was an added plus for us. The house is well taken care of and very clean. The back yard was a great and gave my husband a nice place to read and enjoy the nice weather. Codie is an excellent host. He responded promptly any time I had a question.

I had a wonderful time at Justine's beautiful countryside, modern farmhouse. Gorgeous setting up high in the mountain range with an incredible view of the mountainside. Open lot with lot's of space. Absolutely gorgeous open first floor concept with incredible deck. Super comfortable and great kitchen set up with all you need to cook. House is well stocked with necessities. Upstairs is lovely and both bedrooms are super comfortable with room darkening shades and nice ceiling fans. I could sit for hours and look at the mountains. Like you are in your own heaven. Justine lives in a private cabin on the property and comes and goes which I really liked as she was super accessible and not in your way at all. She was so gracious and I had a great time. 5 star property. You will not be disappointed. Great hiking destinations and lakes nearby and 3 cute restaurants with in a 10 to 15 minute drive. Great location and clean simply furnished house! Not a lot of “extras” but comfortable bed and clean! On a nice corner lot and loved the windows. The bay window in the front room makes it cozy. Had a few different issues which the host remedied quickly! (Thank you!) Great place to stay while working in the area. Cute family owned pizza place across the street which was a convenient plus. We would stay here again!

We had a great time at Francois & Ann's oasis by the lake. It was so relaxing to wake up, look at the lake, and listen to birds chirp. If you are looking for isolation, this place does the trick, We didn't see anyone all week on the lake or at the other cabins until the day we left. The lake has excellent fishing. With little effort, we caught several decent-sized bass and pickerel right off the dock. The location is ideal. You feel like you are out in the country, but are close to great restaurants in Kinderhook and only 25 minutes from Hudson or Albany. It's also only an hour from Mass Moca and 90 minutes to Cooperstown. Francois and Ann were very communicative and quickly responded to questions and comments.

The home overall was great. It was cozy and comfortable inside including living room and bedroom beds. House has everything that we needed. Linens and towels were great. The outdoor front porch has lots of seating options and comfortable chairs. The back porch has a nice covered area which was great for shade from sun or the rain. The dock was great for relaxing. Too cold to swim this time of the year but w out our toes in! Overall peaceful, relaxing and quiet. Thankyou!

This place was exactly as described and perfect for us and, especially, our dog. It was great to feel that she was as welcomed as we were. The garden was perfect (long and fully enclosed) for Zoe to run around and chase her ball. The house was clean and comfortable. We got a little confused by the Monday parking rules, but that was no fault of Anthony and we appreciated getting the heads up. Communication in general was clear. We will definitely book here again if we ever need to pass through Albany. Highly recommended, especially to visitors with dogs.

Perfect rural escape for a family, in close proximity to Windham/Hunter and the capital region. Home was clean and exactly as described. Cedar hot tub is a nice addition!

Thomas was extremely responsive. He assisted with last minute changes and made our stay extremely accommodating. The home was beautiful and large enough to make sure everyone from our group had a private space. We will be returning in the future.

Only drawback for me was parking bike. Great little home away from home.

Mohini was very helpful and catered to all of our requests. She was always available throughout our stay. The home was very clean. The little extra touches made us feel right at home, from having lotions, toothpastes extra tooth brushes and the little things we forgot. The home was very spacious and allowed us to be together or have time alone. I would definitely rent this home again. Thank you!

My friends and I enjoyed our stay in this beautiful setting. the house was very clean and it had everything we needed. It was extremely relaxing, comfortable and peaceful. We enjoyed the tree swings and sitting out on the porch. The kitchen was pristine and fully stocked for cooking. There were many parks and other places to visit in the area. Our host was very helpful and responsive. We definitely hope to be back soon!

Some friends and I stayed here for a weekend wedding in June. It was the perfrct launchpad for adventuring around downtown Troy. The apartment door opens up to the lovely Saturday morning farmers market and charming restaurants, coffee shops, and wine bars. The apartment itself had personality and charm, and the beds were SO comfortable. Vic was an incredibly responsive host and everything from booking to check-in to check-out was seamless and easy. It was a perfect weekend stay!

We adored this space - natural, calm, and friendly vibe. The yurt was very spacious and bright with many lighting options. On a chilly fall evening we found that the wood stove had been stocked and lit already - much appreciated!

Very clean, tidy, comfortable. Jacuzzi tub didn’t hold water but the shower was great. Our stay was short but wine by the fire would have been our next move. Very nice neighborhood.

Olakunle was a very responsive host! Plenty of towels in the bathroom and the kitchen had everything needed for a stay! There were signs all over the apartment to help show where things were and give further directions!

Michael and Kim were perfect hosts, there if you needed them. Ensured all our needs from an AirBnb were what we were looking for. Lovely rural setting, however there were shops and restaurants nearby. Plenty of space inside to relax or if the weather suits you, on the front or rear porches. The information folder had all the information you need for a stay there. Kim also kindly emailed me with full instructions on the route from Boston airport to the front door. Would certainly look to stay there the next time we are in Albany. A car is recommended, however we used an Uber for a couple of trips into Albany. Fully recommend Grey Gables to anyone looking to book it.

Highly recommend! They went above and beyond. My dad and I got in a bind and had to ask for an early check in and they accommodated us and then some. The house was stocked with every fresh snack you can imagine including fresh milk, eggs and butter. Huge stash of tea and fresh coffee. The place was adorable and I would definitely stay again. The home is very private and relaxing, but still close to everything. I have stayed in many Airbnb's and this exceeded my expectations. Thanks again guys! Cheers.
