Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Albany County

This was our second stay at Elsbree House, so we knew exactly what to expect-a gorgeous Victorian home close to great restaurants and to fun area events. Rafael is an extremely responsive and flexible host who is always available by text. We hope to return in 2025!

This was our second stay at Donald’s place—and that says it all. The home is beautiful and perfectly situated by the lake for a peaceful weekend. We enjoyed using the BBQ and the firepit. Donald was very responsive and made sure everything was taken care of.

We had a great time at Francois & Ann's oasis by the lake. It was so relaxing to wake up, look at the lake, and listen to birds chirp. If you are looking for isolation, this place does the trick, We didn't see anyone all week on the lake or at the other cabins until the day we left. The lake has excellent fishing. With little effort, we caught several decent-sized bass and pickerel right off the dock. The location is ideal. You feel like you are out in the country, but are close to great restaurants in Kinderhook and only 25 minutes from Hudson or Albany. It's also only an hour from Mass Moca and 90 minutes to Cooperstown. Francois and Ann were very communicative and quickly responded to questions and comments.

This place was exactly as described and perfect for us and, especially, our dog. It was great to feel that she was as welcomed as we were. The garden was perfect (long and fully enclosed) for Zoe to run around and chase her ball. The house was clean and comfortable. We got a little confused by the Monday parking rules, but that was no fault of Anthony and we appreciated getting the heads up. Communication in general was clear. We will definitely book here again if we ever need to pass through Albany. Highly recommended, especially to visitors with dogs.

We were there for the Belmont Stakes at Saratoga. It was a great location and it was in a very quiet neighborhood with hardly any traffic going by. Inside it was very nice and accommodating - spacious kitchen with all new appliances, large dining room and living room. Bathrooms and bedrooms were clean and operational - just right for our party of 4. We communicated with Brandon several times and he usually responded within 15 minutes which was great. We appreciate that! All in all it was a great trip and Brandon's place was perfect for us. I would highly recommend it. Reasonable price, great location, great home, and a very pleasant renter. We didn't win any money at the track, but the stay was excellent.

Everything was top-notch! Richard and Priscela have obviously put a great deal of effort into the space and we were very impressed. Everything was beautiful. Huge TV in the living room and then each bedroom had a very nice TV. We appreciated the water in the fridge! We would highly recommend Richard and Priscela and would definitely stay here again. Also, they left a pizza place recommendation which was EXCELLENT!!

Beautifully kept cottage. We visited to eat pizza at Be Golden Farms which was a short distance away. We will definitely stay again and recommend this cottage.

Our stay was brief but perfect. Peaceful and away from the hectic life of the weekend wedding festivities. Thank you so much, Andie, for the beautiful stay and being such a gracious host!

Very comfortable couch

Needed a place for the month and the Nook was the perfect alternative to an extended stay. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating for my timeline. The Nook is charming and everything the description says, no hidden surprises like some other AB&Bs. Clean, quiet, friendly, couldn't ask for much more. Would highly recommend!

Spacious lower unit that is very well-suited for short or long term stays and remote workers with a car. Great television, reliable and fast internet, and a well-stocked kitchen. One can tell the hosts put thought into the home’s design and furnishings, which are economical but stylish enough. Two caveats: 1) the unit is open concept, so it cannot get very warm in frigidly cold weather; if the temp will only reach 20 degrees F or below while you visit, the unit would not be suitable for anyone who runs cold easily. 2) Troy’s hills are steep enough that this place, which has a fairly nice view of nature and Watervliet, is not within a reasonable walk of downtown Troy, RPI, or any commercial centers. It’s very convenient for people like me who needed to commute to Albany and other locations throughout the Capital District, but for those wanting to experience Troy and hoping to limit driving, other locations might be preferable for you.

Wow! The space was perfect for our family celebration! It looked like the pictures yet better. We were pleased with the space and accommodations. The word that came up, “thoughtful.” Everything was wall thought out and thoughtful— from coffee and creamer to hand and body soap. To all the towels we needed. It was perfect. Lovely. Lovely space. The neighbors were friendly too.

Richard and his wife are top notch people who I would gladly stay at their air bnb again. They helped show me the place and were some of the nicest people I have met. Would recommend them any day of the week

Such a charming little spot! Everything was clean and relaxing. Walkable to the Egg, historic Albany, and lots of great restaurants!

Absolutely loved my stay! The apartment was beautifully furnished, spotless and welcoming. Would absolutely stay again!!

Ronnie’s place was just what we were looking for. A comfortable place for 5 of us to rest and chat while doing other activities in the area. We got to enjoy the hot tub, covered away from the rain, and played board games indoors. We were also able to prepare a steak dinner on the grill and using the fully furnished kitchen. The neighborhood was a little drab, but his space was a pleasant oasis from it. Still fine to walk around during the day. The neighbors above could be heard walking inside, but this was expected and they didn’t bother us on our vacation. Though they did park a little close for us to comfortably fit in our 3 cars into the 4 slots allowed. But street parking was also fine directly in front of the house. Overall, we enjoyed our time spent at his place, and he kept it neat and accommodating. A great value when you want a hot tub, 1.5 baths, a grill, comfortable queen beds, and pull out. I wish the weather was better for us to enjoy more of his furnished patio space.

We were very happy with our stay! The house is well kept, with lots to do and comfortably private.

Cabin is private, easily reachable, by the river, and has beautiful views. The hosts really go an extra mile to make this feel incredible. If you're looking for a cute spacious rustic getaway, this is the spot. It is rustic so make sure to bring drinking water, if you'd like to cook perhaps a water filter. Christine is great, will definitely try to stay here again soon.

A cozy and quiet cabin with a beautiful view of the mountains. We were travelling for a wedding that was at Bluebird Farm just up the road, and the location was perfect for going back and forth to the venue. The fireplace was easy to work and there was even a bluetooth speaker there so we could connect and play music.

We are employees of a German mechanical engineering company and work from time to time in the States at various large companies such as SpaceX or, as in this case, at GE Power. The accommodation was very appealing, very very clean and the communication with the landlady Maggie was exemplary! There was nothing to complain about... We have booked the accommodation again for our next customer assignment! Thanks for everything... Best Carsten

This was exactly what we needed. We felt so comfortable and at home from the very beginning. Christine is also fantastic. She was extremely responsive , attentive, and friendly. We never actually met face to face, but we still feel like she is a friend. We will definitely stay at her place whenever we need a place in the area. We may even come back to the area just to stay at her place. I can’t imagine staying somewhere more relaxing. We fell in love with the area and the cabin. Thank you so much.
