Holiday rentals with a kayak in Albany County

I absolutely loved the house and location. if you have dogs that love to run the yard was great for our two high energy dogs. very quiet and peaceful. the house being at an elevated spot allows for amazing views. we loved sitting on the porch and taking in the scenery while the pups got to enjoy the wide open space. this place has easily made it to my top 3 locations of places I have stayed so far!

Dave was a very responsive host, he even went above and beyond and ended up getting an air fryer after I stayed for awhile! Kept the place very clean and I respect him greatly for his attitude towards me and others while there. Over all, awesome stay, peaceful as all heck, would recommend!

Frank's place was the absolute perfect place for our multi generation family party. Comfortable furniture for our older set and a trampoline for the twenty year olds. The gazebo next to water was lovely and the water was good for swimming aided by a ladder from the gazebo. The interior design is not fancy but very comfortable and the main room has a spectacular view. The house has most everything you will need. The kitchen is fairly well equipped -esp with regard to cookware and utensils. If you are planning big meals I advise checking in with Frank first about what appliances they do & do not have. Frank was extremely helpful to me, allowing me to drop off a few large items in the days preceding our event and buying a charcoal grill on short notice when the fire pit proved insufficient for our needs. I definitely want to organize other family events at this incredible space. He is an excellent and timely communicator - just a fantastic host.

This was our second stay at Donald’s place—and that says it all. The home is beautiful and perfectly situated by the lake for a peaceful weekend. We enjoyed using the BBQ and the firepit. Donald was very responsive and made sure everything was taken care of.

We had a great time at Francois & Ann's oasis by the lake. It was so relaxing to wake up, look at the lake, and listen to birds chirp. If you are looking for isolation, this place does the trick, We didn't see anyone all week on the lake or at the other cabins until the day we left. The lake has excellent fishing. With little effort, we caught several decent-sized bass and pickerel right off the dock. The location is ideal. You feel like you are out in the country, but are close to great restaurants in Kinderhook and only 25 minutes from Hudson or Albany. It's also only an hour from Mass Moca and 90 minutes to Cooperstown. Francois and Ann were very communicative and quickly responded to questions and comments.

I stayed at David’s place as part of a research visit at UAlbany. Super convenient location for that. I had two separate bookings at David’s place due to some traveling while in Albany - both stays were equally great. 5-star Airbnb with everything you need and 5-star host who will do everything to help and make your stay as great as possible. Definitely recommend!

Had a great stay. It was quiet and had all that we needed while we were there. Would rent it again if I ever get back up to the area.

The cabin was very cute and great views, Christine was very quick to respond and very pleasant to deal with. We had a wonderful time staying and would stay again.

Beautiful property right on the lake. The cabin was very clean and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Lots to do in the area, hiking, food, bars. We will be back :)

Great location on Mohawk River. Heavenly breeze off the river made it a great experience both on the deck and next to the water. Watch the boats and watercraft and sit by the fire all night. I thought there might be traffic noise because it was so close to the bridge and 87, but there was just a little in the background coming from the south. Not bothersome, very peaceful. Kayaks were available near the water to the west of cabin 9,, not to be confused with kayaks sitting on the neighbor's porch. I'll try that next time.

we had such a lovely stay in one of the sweetest little lake cottages! it was so peaceful, quiet and beautiful. it was such a gift to find such a special accommodation where we could bring our dog along with us! we were able to get to albany, troy and hudson within 20 minutes which was perfect for day trips and little outings! the deck overlooking the grounds and the lake was just the icing on the cake! can’t wait to come back!

The cabin was lovely. Well renovated and well appointed. It was like a studio apartment with a beautiful deck. I appreciated the kitchen in which I could cook, and the bright colors made it, especially welcoming and friendly. The hosts are excellent communicators on the Airbnb app.I use the kayak and swim in the lake every day I was there. There is a grill outside, but no propane. So, bring your own Kohl’s and starter. Overall, I am delighted with this rental.

This was exactly what we needed. We felt so comfortable and at home from the very beginning. Christine is also fantastic. She was extremely responsive , attentive, and friendly. We never actually met face to face, but we still feel like she is a friend. We will definitely stay at her place whenever we need a place in the area. We may even come back to the area just to stay at her place. I can’t imagine staying somewhere more relaxing. We fell in love with the area and the cabin. Thank you so much.

I have had a lot of good luck with finding people from my soul stream through airbnb but this one is next level. Yes, there are mozzzies and other little guys, they are also part of our ecosystem, this is how rivers work. Go with the flow, allow the nature and the insanely cool architecture of the bridges replenish your mind as you hear the busy people running along the bridge in their cars. This is a pocket of magic that you can tap into - literally, put your feet in the water with a bonfire at the riverbank and attend the thoughts and emotions you might be running low on. The river water will wash, filter and take away what needs to be taken away while leaving you with new space to fill with love and gratitude from this environment. respect, love and magic to all who can see.

Phenomenal stay. Phenomenal host. Christine is really incredible and graciously accommodating. Most certainly will be back. 10/10
