Cottage holiday rentals in Alameda

This was our second stay here. Our daughter's family lives in the neighborhood and this is the perfect location for us to stay while visiting. It is quiet, comfortable and just what we need. The yard is very cute and we love to look at the animals with our grandchildren. We lucked out and saw the planets aligned from the driveway on the 25th, as it is dark enough to view the stars without city lights. Don and Lori are great hosts- there are treats and fresh eggs in the fridge, and everything we needed was right there. We will be back.

We had a great time in this cozy cottage. The hot tub was so deep you could stand all the way up and be submerged! And the view of the ocean was awesome too.

Such a cozy unique cabin. We slept well, cooked in the well stocked, funky kitchen and read books in the loft. Easy to walk into town and great host. Want to return!!

Mara is a great host, charming and thorough.........a great combination for us! Her detailed instructions and "hands-off" thereafter approach was perfect for us. The unit was just the right size for us and had everything we needed for our week plus stay. We hope to visit and stay again in the future as the location is perfect for us.

We loved staying at the Dipsea Cottage. It’s a beautiful, calming, and comfortable space. We really enjoyed being able to walk to the beach, restaurants, playground, and shops. We look forward to coming back here again!

We loved our stay here. Bill was extremely sweet and kind. He even provided a lovely tray of coffee for us in the morning. The space was clean and quiet. The location was perfect for a relaxing end to our day. Would recommend!

Aoibhinn’s space was a great place to stay and we will definitely consider to return. Located in the quiet backyard in a quiet neighborhood, it is in walking distance to markets and grocery shops as well as a variety of North Berkeley restaurants and more. Amenities are exactly as described, while we enjoyed in particular the modern and very well equipped kitchen, including basic food supplies as well as the welcome cookies. We enjoyed proactive, courteous, prompt, and friendly conversations, both ahead of and during this great stay in Berkeley.

This cottage is a little gem in a desirable part of the city. The upstairs sleeping loft is spacious and well laid out with plenty of closet and drawer space. We loved the thoughtful touches like high-quality coffee, a bottle of wine, extra sheets and towels, and attractive decor and books. Host Johnny was very responsive to our questions about the heating unit and fixed it right away. Not a problem for the physically agile, but guests should be aware that the outdoor side entrance is maybe 24 inches wide, and that the steep loft stairs are necessary to navigate to use the bathroom. Overall, a wonderful stay with a kind and thoughtful host!

Overall we had a good stay at Susan’s rental. She was very nice and communicative. It was very quiet and the bed was comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook a few meals. Large refrigerator. Regular drip coffee pot. Very close to downtown Mill Valley so you can walk into town easily. There seemed to be a few other renters on this property, and our rental was the very back unit. The walkway down the length of the front house was a bit tight, with 2 gates. It was farther than we expected to load/unload bags. Just a heads up - Parking was a bit tricky because this property is on the main avenue (Blithedale).

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in Stinson Beach. The house is stylish, comfortable, and incredibly well-located—just half a block from the beach. Everything was set up to make our time there feel easy and relaxing, and it was exactly the getaway we needed. We’re already looking forward to coming back. Cute little place. Perfect for a couple. Having space for two cars was helpful for us since we both drove separately.

the bluebird cottage was perfect for our family while we were visiting the area for work. our dogs loved the private yard to relax and play in. the cottage truly felt like a private getaway while being cozy at the same time. the hosts took extra care in providing some grocery items that made our stay even more comfortable! we will definitely return!

Another great stay at this peaceful, comfortable cottage in a great neighborhood and with easy access to restaurants, grocery stores and freeways. The cottage was very clean and welcoming. Sabine was very helpful as always and I look forward to my next visit!

Was a great place to stay for a few weeks. Clean, friendly, warm.

This cottage was perfect for a weekend getaway with me and my partner. We were able to walk to the beach with our surfboards in less than 10 minutes. The outdoor porch was nestled amongst so much greenery and made for the perfect AM coffee spot. The outdoor shower was luxurious and the studio was cozy for watching movies in bed at night. Would def recommend to another couple looking for an easy getaway at the beach!

Bruce is a terrific host and the apartment is great. Very clean, everything you need, great location, walkable to many restaurants and shops. Bruce goes out of his way to make your stay as positive as possible. He is proactive, and a great guy. I highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy and welcoming place. Jing keeps everything in perfect condition, from the thoughtful decor to the soft linens and blankets. It really felt like a home away from home. The garden outside, with orange and avocado trees, made it even more special. She truly understands families with kids, which made our stay even more comfortable.

Sean & Jen’s listing is what AirBnB is all about. A lovely , tranquil and elegant space built probably for themselves and being shared to fellow guests. Great amenities and well setup. The creek is magical . We enjoyed our stay and hope to return .

This was a first but Francesca's place was nicer than the photos! I came here with my husband 6yo daughter and we had a great time (minus the wind storm for kist of our trip). The space was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed and more. I accidentally forgot to bring a lighter for birthday candles but Francesca had 2! If the weather was nicer, her space would've been perfect to hang. My daughter was obsessed with the tree house, swings and climbing ropes. We already promised our 6yo to maybe come back in the summer. What a gem of a space!

The house was clean and comfortable in an impossible-to-beat location. Plenty of nearby options for food, shopping, and endless oceanside hikes. The kitchen was well stocked for all of your cooking needs. A few basics were missed such as a delay in check in, due to key code not shared, and mysteriously few bottles of hand soap, but nothing we couldn’t work around. We would stay here again!

We had a great stay! Communication with Marcy was super easy, she always responded quickly and helpfully. The location is absolutely the best in Walnut Creek: a peaceful and quiet neighborhood, yet very central with everything within walking distance. The guest house is lovely, clean, fresh, and nicely secluded on the property. The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything I needed. Highly recommended
