Villa holiday rentals in Ahangama

Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Ahangama. The property has so much space, clean, light and the beds are super comfy. The outside chill area is even better than it looks in the pictures and the pool and outside shower are great. The staff couldn't do more to help and sorted our group out with scooters for Ahangama and we were able to keep them and take them for our onward stay in Weligama and staff offered to collect them for us there, saving us so much time. I wished I could of stayed longer, thanks again

Beautiful villa located in Ahangama a real gem! I stayed here with my friend and had a bedroom each both with ensuite which was a treat. The decor was so tasteful and you can tell real care and thought had been taken in making the home so lovely. The pool was temperature controlled, clean and the outside area was spacious and perfect for hosting. We hosted dinner one evening with our friends and it was a night to remember. Being a novice cook the kitchen had everything I needed. We even sure endangered purple faced langurs on our first night and there were very cute tree frogs at night. I would recommend this place to anyone and definitely one of my favorite Airbnb stays ever! Hope to visit again! 😊

We had a truly beautiful and relaxing stay. Kavinda our host went above and beyond for us, and the chef’s cooking was absolutely perfect—they even shopped for all the ingredients! The villa’s rustic charm made it feel extra special. Though the beach hut had some weather damage, Buddika let us know in advance and kindly offered a BBQ, which was such a thoughtful touch. Sadly, we were involved in a serious accident on our way to the airport, but even from abroad, Buddika supported us incredibly—liaising with Etihad and sending her husband to visit us. Despite the unfortunate end, our stay was truly wonderful, and we highly recommend it.

Yvan is an amazing host! He was there for both check-in and check-out, offering great recommendations on where to eat, surf, and party. We even went surfing together. After I checked out, I realized I had forgotten my charger, and he kindly brought it back to me.

A fabulous stay along the coast and a highlight of our 3 weeks in the country. The place is an easy tuk tuk or moped into town. Very responsive host - easy to communicate with and nothing was a problem. The pool an added bonus for our kids who enjoyed that and the monkeys that were often nearby. Loved the daily housekeeping, and the place is well staffed and professionally run with security etc. Private from other villas on site. Would 100% stay again if back in Sri Lanka.

Fantastic apartment to stay in - it’s beautiful, peaceful and a fantastic place to relax. The host you meet, Rohan, is a lovely man who always has a smile on your face, and makes sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. We loved the outside area to relax, and the rooms + en-suites are immaculate and very comfortable. Probably the best AirBnB experience I’ve had to date, and was the highlight accommodation wise of my families trip to Sri Lanka

A great stay. It’s a lovely old house that has been lovingly restored and maintained well. The caretaker Manoj is very helpful and speaks English well enough. He was very helpful and was willing to make food for us, but we went outside both days that we were there . I stayed there for the experience of staying in the beautiful house and it did not disappoint. We had a vehicle so it was fine for us, otherwise you will have to take a tuk tuk for pretty much everything.

We loved Tai’s place. The house is beautiful, and both Tai and all of the staff were extremely accommodating. We had beautiful meals and loved the pool and garden in particular.

Equally wonderful was the gracious hospitality of Ushan, who was always there with a warm smile, ready to assist with anything we needed - reservations, recommendations, or simply answering our many questions with patience and kindness. His presence made everything smooth and enjoyable. The Dragonfly Villa exceeded all expectations. Every person we encountered went out of their way to make our family trip very special. Amazing Stay – Highly Recommended! We had a fantastic time at this villa! The property was clean, beautifully maintained, and exactly as described in the listing. The ambiance was peaceful and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The rooms were spacious, the amenities were top-notch. Chef Sammy’s food was superb! Very accommodating and he catered to our requirement without a hesitation and Thari was so helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We would definitely love to come back and highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a perfect holiday experience!

Clare’s place was everything & more than what we were expecting. The villa is absolutely beautiful, set in the most peaceful & tranquil surroundings. Nuwan’s cooking and hosting was the cherry on the top of our experience. Tushara also really looked after us. We were able to organise 3 private yoga classes & a massage - personal highlights of my stay at the villa. All of the above meant that whenever we left the villa, we wanted to get back straight away to our private paradise even though Ahangama is a great area to visit. Highly recommend staying and experiencing the beauty of Villa Sisila!!

Such a beautiful place with peaceful waterfront location, we stayed with a big group of 29 adults and south point villa and south point ocean was able to accommodate all of us very comfortably. We had a great time swimming in the pools and the ocean, taking sunset walks on the beach. The staff are lovely and work tirelessly to meet our needs, we had a wonderful stay and are already looking forward to returning next year.

We stayed for a week and loved every minute! The location is perfect, peaceful and private but only a short Tuktuk ride from Ahangama town. It’s not traditional self-catering, so no kitchen access but the wonderful staff are on hand to make you whatever you like, no request too much! We had our own private firework display and the team installed full length mirrors for us when we realised there wasn’t one. Honestly the team are lovely, discreet but always there to help. The villa isn’t in the heart of town, but only 5 mins Tuktuk or 30 min walk, which for us on a family holiday was perfect, quiet in the evenings, but so easy to go to the lively bars and restaurants in town. We just returned from the most unforgettable stay at this stunning private villa in the south of Sri Lanka, and we’re still floating from the experience! We were 3 families with 6 young kids (ages 3 to 8), and this place was pure paradise for all of us. From the moment we booked, the host Sophie was an absolute gem—warm, welcoming, incredibly responsive, and full of helpful tips to make our stay extra smooth. The villa itself? Breathtaking. Think lush gardens, open tropical spaces, beautifully designed rooms, and a serene vibe that instantly makes you feel relaxed and at home. It was spacious enough for our group to feel comfortable and connected, with plenty of areas for the kids to explore and the adults to unwind. And the staff! So friendly, so kind, and so attentive. But the real star of the show was Dias, the private chef, who absolutely blew us away with his who absolutely blew us away with his cooking. If you’re thinking of staying here—do it. This place is magic.

Aesthetic home, beautiful vistas of the sea, great service and food. Helpful staff. Comfortable rooms and bathrooms. The only issue was the refrigerator that did not cool well and we had to rely on the staff refrigerator for everything. The AC in master bedroom needs a higher tonnage.

super nice place to have for yourself. Take time to yourself while being close to the center of both Weligama and Mirissa. Both are easy to reach with a tuktuk or bus within 10 min. Sahan was super friendly and also his father helped us to all our wishes. The house was clean and atmospheric. The rooms were spacious, the pool was great and was cleaned every day.

Surrounded by beautiful trees, lush vegetation and fascinating widlife, this place is the ideal spot for a relaxed, tranquil getaway. We had very poor weather while we were here so didn't get to enjoy the outside space as much as we could have. The best part about this place is Manoj and his team that run the place, we had beautiful cooked breakfasts and seafood lunches while we were here, and Manoj helped us with shopping, transportation around the local area and our ongoing transfer to Colombo. The owner also deserves credit, for being so approachable, easy to contact and proactive in resolving issues.

We came in a group of 4 friends. Never seen such spacious villa. Comes with 3 bedrooms (two located on top and one at the ground floor). Spiral Staircase might be difficult for elderly. First thing that I must praise is the housekeeper, his name is Lakshan and he’s the most attentive boy ever. He’s always ready to assist. He helps to cook and reheat too. Theres ample of place for us to chill. From the living hall to the kitchen to the outdoor seats we basically fully utilized the space. The only downside is that it’s a little far from the Main Street coz the small lane seems quiet at night but it’s convenient to order food via apps so we never had to walk out. By the way; we arent pet lovers but the two doggies are sooooooooo well behaved.

Super beautiful and new villa, within walking distance of the center of Mirissa. It is the most luxurious accommodation we have stayed in during our trip. It was very clean and the private pool was great! You even have an outdoor toilet and shower. In addition, there is always someone present if you have any questions. We were there with the two of us, but you can stay with two couples, where you also have enough privacy. I can definitely recommend it.

The villa was beautiful! We booked it last minute on the same day of our stay and the host was very helpful and responsive. The house manager Harsha was the best! He was very nice and friendly, he cooked for us probably the best dinner we’ve had in Sri Lanka and in the morning he got fresh eggs and fruits and made us a great breakfast! Definitely recommend staying here!

Eliya Villa was an absolute gem. Direct beach access made every moment feel like a dream, calm, golden, and just breathtaking. The hosts were incredibly kind and always available, helping us with cooking, arranging transport, and making sure we had everything we needed. Their warmth really made the stay special. The villa was spotless, beautifully designed, and so peaceful, felt instantly relaxed and at home. Waking up to the sound of waves, sipping coffee by the beach. It was pure magic. Would definitely come back.

Stop scrolling through the reviews and just book this stay already! Everything about the Temple House was fantastic - from the decor to the amenities to the constantly cleaned pool to the villa manager and staff availability and helpfulness. Communication with Jo was a breeze. Jo was proactive and provided all the information we needed. The chef that we shared with another villa made amazing vegetarian food for our party of 4 adults. Nish the villa manager went out of his way to make us comfortable. Shashi was super duper helpful, making breakfast for all of us and staying with my grandma and infant to ensure their comfort when the rest of us were out exploring. The place was spic and span thanks to Ashanti cleaning the indoor area and the uncle outside cleaning the yard and pool. There was a short period of power outage that was handled well by Jo and the team. They had USB/ battery powered lights and fans that allowed us - especially my infant - to feel comfortable. Loved it!!!

Mr Chamila is an excellent host and I find him to be friendlier than all other hosts that we stayed in whole of srilanka. Though the place is situated little like 1-1.5 kms inside from the beach, he came all the way down to show the way to his house, which btw is perfectly matching the description with no exaggeration. The swimming pool was fabulous, rooms with bathroom were neat/clean with amenities in kitchen etc, sad we got to stay just one day. Kids loved the place. Oh yeah, also this is the only place they have Fibernet and a seamless wifi, never in srilanka you will find that. Worth my penny !
