Staying at Eugene’s place was greatI. The view was beautiful! The cabin was super clean and welcoming. We were also a short ride to town. Absolutely would look forward to staying at this place again.

My family and I loved this air bnb! It was private, clean and had everything that we needed. Loved the fire pit and the hot tub, beds were comfy and towels were soft. Great communication with the owners. If you are looking for a nice get away with lots of privacy and to be able to relax this place is it! If we are ever in the area again would love to stay in this beautiful cabin in the woods.

We had a lovely stay at this cabin in the woods. Standing at the center of the cabin, you end up surrounded by nature as you are able to look through all the windows and the sky light at the beautiful greenery. It was a sweet sanctuary from the city. I appreciated every detail that enhanced my relaxation and comfort at this cabin from the many amenities to the decor. It’s a perfect escape.

We were looking for a cabin, hoping to find a quiet place to rest, relax and recharge in nature. We never dreamed that we would find an authentic 18th century cabin located in the forest on a mountain top - with an excellent view of the surrounding mountains. The inside of the cabin was beautifully furnished as would be expected in colonial Virginia. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the experience of stepping back in time.

We had an amazing stay after a long day of travel and attending a wedding! The home is immaculately well kept and beautifully updated and designed. The driveway and road leading to the home, while steep and tight in spots, was also well maintained and easily traveled with 4WD. Thanks, we’ll certainly be back!

We enjoyed our stay! It was nice & quiet, listening nature on the porch and using the hot tub was a couple of our favorites.

this place was great, bigger and comfier than the photos looked, even had a garage for drying out our wet backpacking gear, the yard was enormous and the river was beautiful!

The cabin was clean, comfortable and full of amenities. A mix of rustic charm and hi-tech appliances. We made good use of the reclining couch, the rockers on the front porch, the hot tub and fire pit. There are plenty of fish in the pond and lots of rabbits hopping around! What more could you want? The road was quiet and perfect to take walks along the water. We came for the hiking and the cabin was a short drive to lots of options. Spend your time on the trails and not driving. It is obvious the hosts put a great deal of time and thought into preparing the cabin for guests. I expect to return to the area for more hiking and will definitely stay at this cabin again.

This place was gorgeous! Waking up and having coffee while watching the horses was a dream. Very close to Shenandoah and several other activities. Highly recommend this home away from home!

We loved the large deck with incredible views! There is another property very close to this one so wasn’t as secluded as we had hoped but overall we loved our stay here. Go check out Eagle Zen Winery if you have the chance.

This is a lovely property, the porch and swing alone make it worth the stay! The beds were very comfortable and the place is cozy and styled beautifully

If your looking for a peaceful location with beautiful views and the feeling of home this is the place to go! Rebecca was excellent communicator and very descriptive in her instruction manual. Everything you needed to know was right there. Rebecca goes the extra mile to make sure you have what you would normally need at home. The cabin itself was clean and cozy. The record and selection are awesome and we finished two puzzles while there. Atari was a huge hit! The creek in the backyard was our favorite feature, we even saw an eastern box turtle. All in all it was fantastic and we will definitely be back again.

What a wonderful peaceful cabin getaway! The property is private and beautiful to walk around, and the cabin has everything you need. The gift basket and stocked kitchen we're appreciated. Dog friendly but no fencing, keep on lead due to the lovely deer! I dare say we'll be back!

This is our second time staying at Rita's Rapids (first came in fall 2024) and there is a reason we came back and will continue to do so! We love the space and location, especially the fire pit, outdoor sitting, and the river in our backyard which is just the perfect spot to put chairs and read. It's a quick (35-50 min, depending on the trail start) drive to all the Shenandoah trails and easy drive to Luray (for Food Lion, firewood, restaurants, etc. and a bit further but still not bad for other towns like Harrisonburg, Woodstock, etc.). The cabin is comfortable and clean and we love how private it is! Thanks for adding a coatrack! We bring our own olive oil, coffee, shampoo/conditioner/body soap, etc. in case this helps future travelers.

Staying at the wandering creek cabin was perfect. Everything we needed! The walkability to the trails in George Washington and the waterfalls was so convenient. The little porch overlooking the creek for a cup of coffee or late night adult brew was superb. Definitely recommend for 2 people looking to get out in nature.

We had an amazing stay in the Camp at Willow Brook. A hidden gem not that far from Harrisonburg, Massanutten resort, Shenandoah and Washington/Jefferson national parks. The place is serene, peaceful and accessible. Sally is a wonderful host, she made sure we had great time. There are several games/activities options available in the camp, we enjoyed playing volleyball. I wish to visit the place in the summer and autumn as well. Thank you! EA & friends

From the moment we first arrived, my newlywed wife and I absolutely fell in love with this cabin. Sitting just a few hundred feet northeast of the pinnacle of Sharp Ridge and overlooking High Knob to the east, this little mountain retreat is a close friend to dazzling sunrises and a bejeweled night sky, winding Allegheny roads and the sarcastically-named Dry Run, a whole host of critterkind and the timbers wherein they make their homes, yet a stranger to civilization, the worldwide web, and—of course—blue waters. In our case, we wanted to disconnect from the technocracy in which we live and exclusively spend quality time with one another immersed in the beauty of nature, and we could not have dreamed of a better spot. Despite the isolation, the charming town of Franklin is only a fifteen-minute drive away and has plenty of groceries, gas, restaurants, and that all-important cell service. As I wrote in the guest book, West Virginia stole our hearts and this cabin was the mastermind.

Gorgeous little cabin in the mountains. It was really nice for a weekend a away. We loved the views in the morning from the porch and the walking trails through the property. Our host was very communicative and generous with the early check in/late check out. A few things to consider: - you can't get up the driveway without 4 wheel drive, so if you need to carry everything up, pack accordingly (we did not) 😅 - If anyone in your group is a light sleeper (noise, sunlight, heat), then the 2 beds in the loft would not be suitable for them. - The chore list is a bit extensive considering the cleaning fee $$$ (ex: stripping beds, lugging trash down the hill to cars to throw away in town, hand wash/dry all kitchen items & put everything away, etc.). Give yourself at least an hour to clean that morning. Overall a great experience. I would definitely visit again, just plan a little differently to accommodate for the cabin set up. Absolutely loved this stay! Sarah and Doug were excellent hosts. They reached out, but did not intrude. Everything was just as it should be. Some little touches we especially loved: baskets of comfy blankets in each sitting room, toiletries well above hotel standard, EV charger, king bed. The location was very convenient to everything we wanted to do in the mountains. We can't wait to come back!

Woody's is a gem for people that just need to have some quite time alone or with your partner. Always clean and well maintained. Phyllis and Tatyana are great hostess and always keep you in the loop as to weather conditions and area concerns. We are grateful to have such a lovely place to rest.

WOW! This was the nicest place we’ve ever stayed, it’s better than the pictures. It’s so secluded and peaceful, we felt like we were in our own world. The pictures also don’t show the various amenities around the property!! We enjoyed sitting in the sun by the peaceful ponds and enjoying the mountain views :) so amazing!!

Had a very peaceful weekend at Kendra’s place! We did a lot of fishing, relaxing on the porch, and made pizzas by the fire. Harrisonburg is very convenient to get to for restaurants and shopping!
