The farmhouse has 4 rooms (sleeps 12) and is right in the center of Abtenau. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance. Abtenau is a great place to relax, recharge, hike, mountain bike or just go for a stroll. There are wonderful waterfalls, beautiful alpine pastures, an outdoor pool especially for children, mini golf, and a summer toboggan run. In winter, it is near the ski lift. The house is centrally located between Salzburg and Hallstatt, making everything easy to reach.

The Apartment offers a great panoramic view and is very big and well equipped - Enjoy it and have fun! In summer and winter high season we only rent for 7 nights, in low season also for 3 nights. Please notice that we charge € 10,00 per day as a short stay fee if you stay under 5 nights. You DEFINITELY need a CAR to visit/book our place.

An exceptional stay. A very welcoming family with a lot of care to decorate and furnish the accommodation (beautiful and very well-equipped), very good advice for visiting the region and they took care of providing us with a single ticket for all public transport. Ideal for a romantic getaway to visit Salzburg and its region with sumptuous lakes and rivers. I highly recommend it. 😊 Looking forward to coming back.

Arnestgut's flat was brand new, it boasts a beautiful Chalet design with a modern look, one of the most architecturally beautiful Airbnbs we've been to. The place had a beautiful view of the Wolfgangsee Lake, and is in a quiet and peaceful location. The place was spotless and had anything you needed. But, more importantly the hosts were super friendly and flexible, making us feel comfortable and right at home.

Peter is such a nice person. He is very communicative, Friendly, and Helpful. I would say it’s a nice place with beautiful surroundings, location is great, the apartment is clean and peaceful only I found a bit insects at the night although it’s not harmful. I really recommend Peter apartment.

We stayed here for a little over 2 weeks and absolutely loved it!! We felt right at home, the space was lovely and cosy, and we especially loved the kitchen and bathroom (with a bath)! A highlight was definitely the beautiful view of the mountains from the kitchen and living area, I could sit and look out the window for hours at the rain and shifting clouds. Annija, the co-host, was super friendly and welcoming from the first moment. She was proactive, helpful, very responsive to messages and a great communicator. Truly an amazing host! The apartment is also in a great location, close to the train station, supermarkets and shops. St Johann im Pongau was a great base for hiking and exploring the surrounding mountains, with hikes starting very close by. So grateful for such a wonderful and memorable stay here — we would love to be back!

Absolutely loved our stay at this charming old cottage in Bad Ischl! The place is cosy, beautifully maintained, and full of character. The room was impeccably clean—truly spotless—and had a lovely, fresh scent that made us feel right at home. Every detail was thoughtfully prepared: from the beautifully chosen decor to the high-quality amenities provided. We had everything we needed, including a teapot, utensils, water boiler, small fridge, and even a microwave—so convenient! The surrounding garden was peaceful and well-kept, perfect for a quiet morning coffee or an evening wind-down. Breakfast was included in the price, and with the level of comfort and care provided, the stay was incredibly good value. A special highlight for us was the chance to meet her sweet Bernese Mountain Dog and lovely cat—we only wish we had more time to play with them. If you’re looking for a warm, welcoming, and restful place to stay in Bad Ischl, don’t hesitate—this cottage is a true gem.
