Holiday rentals in Aare

What a view! This was such a peaceful home to stay in. It was perfect for our family. We cooked a few dinners at the house and had a few dinners. Our host recommended renting a car as local bus doesn’t always run when you need it. I would recommend renting a car for this location as uber isn’t always available and it’s a hike up the mountain with luggage. We would definitely stay here again.

Eagle's Nest was the perfect home away from home during our five day trip to the Interlaken region. Cute, comfortable home with out of this world views and an incredibly well stocked kitchen. Dinners with views followed by stunning trail walks going from the front door. Easy access to public transportation, great host. Highly recommended!

Where do I start? We arrived in the evening before a national holiday (Ascencion). My wife and I wanted to find a market to purchase some food and drinks for the stay but everything was closed by the time we checked in (including restaurants) due to the holiday. But Dunja saved the day! She operates a bistro downstairs and offered to let us shop in her kitchen for food and drinks! Our favorite item was her charcuterie board with wonderful, local products! We were able to purchase just enough food and drinks for dinner that night and breakfast the next morning. Dunja's place was just remodeled a year ago and it is 5 star quality!! The location and view are AMAZING! . Everything inside is clean, modern and love the electric blackout shades! The bed was super comfy and the bathroom/shower were top notch. This location is only a 5 minute walk to the train station which made accessing different trips in the area very simple, no car needed! Thanks Dunja... we'll be back!! :)

Regula and Sascha are absolutely lovely people and their home is a gem. Like others have wrote, they have thought about every detail from a wood-fired oven for pizzas to an herb garden to pick for meals to even pre-paying for our bus card to get around town. They were so kind to show us around their home when we checked in and explained everything we would need to know. The property is stunning and so peaceful with access to the lake for swimming or to take the ferry as well as a bus stop at the end of the street. I hope to stay in their home again and I would recommend it to anyone considering! Paradise! Wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed more sunshine. Thank you both so much!

This is a beautiful place to stay, exactly as described. Spotlessly clean and mostly well-equipped. The owners live in the house underneath so you always know someone is there. Chantal was extremely friendly, and very pro-active in providing instructions. (If you look for this place on Google Maps, at least at the time we stayed - June 2025 - you won’t find it as it wasn’t built yet. But it is there in real life!)

AMAZING stay. Bernhardt was attentive and helpful when needed, and also left us to enjoy the stay. I appreciate his recommendations for a car repair and restaurant to help us after a long drive and getting in late. The deck immediately on the lake is the highlight - heated pool, outdoor dining, outdoor shower, sun loungers and steps directly into the lake. Paddle boards were available. The private driveway cannot be taken for granted, this place gives privacy and a quick drive to town. You can enjoy the amenities and views of the area without leaving home if you like! Or, get out for an amazing adventure. Entertaining bird watching! This place is highly recommended and we look forward to coming back.

It was a wonderful time at this accommodation. The host made it even more comfortable through his speedy communication. The location is simply breathtaking and a perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing vacation. The house is very nicely decorated and every small details is thought of, that you see only in architecture magazines. To be honest it is a truly hidden gem. I strongly recommend staying at this accommodation and encourage you to be mindful to the effort of the host. This and accommodation like this is the reason why I love Airbnb.

Our experience at Gabriela and Niklaus’s beautiful farm house far superseded our expectations. Both Gabriela and Niklaus went above and beyond to make our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. From the beauty of the surroundings, the joy of our son spending time with the hosts beautiful family, to fantastic recommendations of how we could spend our time there.
