There is something magical about staying in the heart of Mdina!! And despite the impracticalities, we’d happily do it again!! This place is a real unique find!!!! We loved being able to walk around after the tourists had left and enjoy the magic of the place. It’s really ‘money can’t buy’ stuff. The property is exactly as described - not for you if you want luxury and all the modern conveniences - it’s quirky and a bit of an odd layout. It can also be a bit of a challenge with parking/traffic - we struggled one day and can’t imagine what it might be like in the height of summer. Would highly recommend coming up the back way to Greek’s Gate via Triq l-Għarreqin. I would say from 7am - 9pm it can be quite loud, but we were out and about so didn’t bother us. It may sound like we’re being negative, but we’re not… we just think this property deserves guests who appreciate it for what it is and don’t expect it to be something else. Spent 4 weeks in Michelle’s wonderful house, from start to finish it was so much more than we expected. We loved the area, great local small grocery shops, butchers and greengrocer, fresh produce available. You’ll be in a residential area and the beautiful streets resound with the maltese people living their lives. St philips church is beautiful a couple of minutes away , there is a service 9.30 sunday mornings, i was made very welcome. Shops and Bus bus stop 3 minutes away with regular cheap buses to Valletta, 2 euros each , change at Valletta bus terminal where you can then hop on to a bus to anywhere else on Malta, using the same ticket if it’s within a 2 hour period. Bolt and uber are reliable. The house itself is a bit of a challenge with many levels and stairs. If you organise your day you can cook either in downstairs kitchen or on 2 ring hob on roof terrace, there’s also a fridge. Just make sure you have all that’s needed upstairs . The views over harbour are stunning

Beautiful historic property in the old town of Rabat,2 minutes walk to the bars/restaurants ,and 4 minutes to the nearby gardens and Mdina ,which is one of the wonders of the world . No charge car parking 3 minutes away. There was a lot of considerarion shown by Ian some food ,more than basics left in fridge and larder,good wifi connection,hot water. Dined out every night ,some good not tourist trap restaurants,all within 10 minutes walk. Great location for everywhere to drive to all around half and hour,,Valetta south,St Paul and the beaches along the cost north,and the ferry to get over to Gozo,where the sandy beaches were fa.A tip arrive during daylight,so you can easily figure everything out.

Lovely place to stay and the pool was a great addition to our stay. Throughly enjoyed our time here and is a lovely place to stay. Within walking distance of some really nice restaurants and not a far walk into Valletta at all.

a wee gem of a place, spotlessly clean, a "welcome" pack of bread, wine, ham, cheese, beer was awaiting us which was delightful as we arrived late at night. there are many food shops, bars and restaurants within a short walking distance, and Marsakala itself is about a 15 minute walk or 2 minutes on the bus from a stop a minute from the property. the beach is a stones throw from the house , where you can hire jet skies etc., and you have beautiful views of the bay from the many balconies, front and rear that also allow you to soak up or hide from the sun as suits the owners are so friendly, as are all the locals we met. we bumped into the owners whilst out at a restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our chat with them . bus is amazing - get to Valletta in 25 minutes and that opens up the rest of the island and is exceptionally cheap! A 2 euro ticket gets you any bus over a two hour period. brilliant holiday

We had a great time at Lucy's place. The location is ideal for visiting the 3 cities, and close to the ferry to get to Valletta. The house is typical Maltese, very charming and the street is nice and quiet. The roof terrace is a plus, very pleasant to enjoy the evenings. It is easy to park nearby. Lucy is also a very responsive host and available to answer any questions. Lucy provides a binder with all the necessary recommendations for a great stay: restaurants, beaches, places to visit, etc. Adapters are also available in her accommodation for European sockets. We highly recommend Lucy and her accommodation for a stay in Malta!

Superb location for exploring the island, very easy to get around and plenty of local options for food. The house was perfect, with literally everything you need to feel at home. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the jacuzzi was a great way to wind down

My friends and I had the best stay following the end of our academic semester! The place was perfect for us and tucked into such a nice area. There was a lot to see and do in a Birgu, but also super easy to get to Valleta and other surrounding areas. We spent some of our evenings on the roof! The house was extremely comfortable and we felt settled and taken care of upon arrival! 10/10 😊

Beautiful flat in the middle of Marsaskala, a peaceful harbour town. It was a great place to see Malta and the flat was a beautiful base!

Loved our stay in Marsaskala! The apartment met our expectations and it was amazing to come into the unit and be greeted with the sight of the be ight blue bay! We definitely enjoyed the deck. Inside it was clean and spacious. Marsaskala was a good choice-away from the crowds and lots of choices for restaurants that we easily walked to. We rented a car and were able to find parking close by. Christine was very responsive to our questions. Highly recommend!!

The house was very nice and clean. There is a bus stop just in front of it. The host was always very helpful and kind. I really recommend this place.

Truly unique apartment, beautifully designed like a show home with so many extra comforts which surpass any expectations. It’s even more lovely than the photos. The kitchen has every type of utensils, pans and pots you need to cook, a full coffee and tea station, the bathrooms are luxurious and big double large comfortable beds like clouds. The terrace is lovely with a great view. 2 minutes walk to local stores/ wine cellar / high quality Italian deli & butchers. 3 minutes walk down to the bay of Marsaskala with cafes and restaurants. The host: Ritan is so special, she goes so far above baseline you feel utterly spoilt. There was even Christmas decorations and tree ready for us upon arrival. Making us feel like we had a home for Xmas. Thank you, so so much for a truly magical experience. Will forever stay In our hearts.

Wow! Where do I even begin! First I want to say Peter is the best AirBnB host you’ll ever meet. Every single question we had was answered thoroughly and quickly and he took time out of his day to chat with us and give us such good recommendations on where to eat, what to do, and the best ways to experience Malta. You can tell how much he loves his country by how much he was willing to share with us, and he gave us better history lessons than most of the tours we were on! The apartment is absolutely gorgeous! It’s very clean, the kitchen and bathroom are up to date but the rest of the house’s architecture is beautiful! I had some family staying in St. Julians and they complained about how loud it was there so I was happy to be able to go back to a quiet, more residential neighborhood every night and get some good sleep. The ferry was super close and easy to use. The air conditioning was also great! So happy to have been able to stay here in Malta it was lovely!

We loved our vacation in Birgu, Malta. The atmosophere of the city and the flat were stunning. In a few minutes you can walk to the ferry to Valletta or stroll around the three cities. There are many great restaurants in the area and you can enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony with a great view over the Harbour. I will never forget these moments. Tonio was a great host with great energy. You could always contact him and he was very engaged in asking if everything was alright or if he could be of any assistance to make the stay more enjoyable. You clearly understand why he is a superhost after meeting him.

Such a great find, we loved the pool and hot tub! Rooms were clean and we pretty much had everything we needed. Location perfect for what we wanted and was easy to get about with Bolt. Local area not the prettiest but good selection of restaurants/bars and we had a an amazing time and can highly recommended

The host was very responsive and understanding when we asked to move our check-in time earlier, which we really appreciated. The apartment was clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It’s also well located, close to both the beaches and the city center.

Lovely, spacious apartment that was exactly as described and looked just like the photos. Really well located too, with a supermarket immediately next door and lots of shops, bars and restaurants within a short walk. If you’re up for a longer walk you can even get to Sliema within 15 minutes. Really easy to jump a taxi to Valletta and anywhere else on the island too, or there’s a bus stop right outside the supermarket. Jane was a super host, letting us check-in early and responding within seconds to rescue us when we accidentally locked ourselves out of the building!

Lewis was amazing, considerate and attentive. Communication was immaculate and super supportive he’s the best Airbnb host I have had, the place was just as amazing as the apartment itself, definitely worth the price and much more.

We spent two months in Malta and stayed the second month in Stephen’s accommodation. Due to some issues with our first place, we were really grateful that Stephen gave us the opportunity to move in a few days earlier than originally planned. His flexibility was a big help. The apartment itself was clean, well-equipped and very well maintained, we felt comfortable from the start. Stephen was always friendly, helpful and easily reachable whenever we had questions. The only thing we personally consider negative is the location: there aren’t many shops or restaurants nearby, and you need to travel a bit further for bigger grocery stores like Lidl or to get to larger cities. However, there is a bus stop close by and public transport makes it easy to reach everything you need. But overall, we were very happy with the accommodation and our stay and we would definitely recommend it :)

Absolutely stunning apartment! Convenient location for the airport and a perfectly situated central location for day trips around the island. Great for family groups travelling together. Catherine is a wonderful host and was so friendly and helpful. Our only regret was that we only booked to stay for one night, everything was so perfect, we wished we'd booked to stay for longer!

Fantastic location with a fantastic view over the harbor the boat and Villetta in the distance. So glad I didn’t stay in Villetta, which is a zoo, crowded with people and cars. Very comfortable very quiet great neighborhood close to sites and restaurants and easy to get to Villetta on the ferry. Fantastic deck with such a huge view, unfortunately the furniture is very marginal a rusty table, old chairs, and two dirty lounge chairs with no cushions, which is a shame because the deck is nothing short of brilliant. I loved my stay there and would stay again especially if the deck gets a little attention
