Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.

宮津の中心街から車で10分程度で里山、田園風景が自慢の「上宮津」という地域内で３年ほど空き家になっていた物件をリノベーションして１棟貸しの宿泊施設へと生まれ変わりました。 海までは10分、天橋立までは15分、伊根の舟屋までは45分。 特別綺麗な施設ではありませんが、地域ならではのゆっくりとした時間を過ごしていただます。 基本的にお料理は出していませんが、ご希望の方は近隣のおにぎりcafeの当施設限定朝食おにぎりセットを予約することができます（有料） 地域の方との交流やBBQ、収穫体験などのメニュー、地域内e-bikeツアーなどもご紹介可能です。事前にお問い合わせください。またBBQは一式のレンタルで¥2,200で準備します。（イス、コンロ、炭、火ばさみ、準備から片付けまで）食材は含まれません。ゲストの方でご準備してください。レンタル以外でのBBQはご遠慮いただいています。 ガレージでは、BBQの他、自転車やバイクのメンテナンスを雨に濡れずに行う事ができます。鍵付きの建物内に保管できますので安心して丹後一周する事が可能です。 駐車場は当施設すぐ後ろに駐車スペースがあります。

　日本の原風景が色濃く残る大宮町五十河の里山は、海、山、川に囲まれた京都の北部、丹後半島にあります。 　江戸時代後期、推定築200年の母屋は伝統構法（石場建て、木組み、土壁）で、全国でも珍しい内部に笹葺（ささぶき）屋根を残しています。丹後ちりめん全盛期の養蚕農家の造りで、集落の庄屋としての佇まい、丹後地方に残る伝統的な古民家です。 　都会の喧騒を離れ、静かな里山で、ほぼ一棟貸しの母屋と離れ屋へ、大切な家族や友人達とゆっくり滞在して頂きたく思います。 　※シャワーのみ、短時間でホストはゲストと共有します。 　最近では世界が注目する「健康長寿のまち」京丹後市にあり、五十河集落には元気なお年寄りが多く暮らしてます。五十河集落で収穫した特別栽培米コシヒカリ、菜園で収穫した旬の野菜も提供いたします。 　京都縦貫道・京丹後大宮ICから車で8分、五十河集落からは北近畿最大の内山ブナ林に最も近い宿泊で、天橋立へ車で15分、伊根の舟屋へ車で30分、京丹後のビーチへも車で30分程度のロケーションにあり、各観光地への拠点として便利な立地にあります。2023年6月に開業しました。
