Decided to take a quick trip for our one year anniversary and this did not disappoint . This place is beautiful and private . Make sure to get food before you go . You will probably not leave after you sit on the porch and get away from everyday life here . The little house is perfect and has everything you need for a get away!

We had three families vacation together that included 6 adults and 4 children. There was plenty of space for everyone. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub each day. Ruth made sure both were cleaned and ready each day for us. Our first night we had pizza delivered since we all had traveled that day but then we cooked dinner each night after. We utilized the crockpot and air fryer the most. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The back porch was beautiful and we spent a lot of time there. The afternoon showers were peaceful to watch from the porch. The kids really enjoyed the TV room. They were able to spread out and relax in the evenings after dinner. Grocery shopping was easy and very close by the house. We didn’t venture outside the house other to grab groceries. The kids favorite part was when Ruth and Cowboy Sam stopped by with his horse April. He let each kid ride April. It was a nice surprise! Thanks for an amazing stay!

Had a great stay! It felt super comfortable. We had the easiest check in, we’ve ever had on Airbnb which was a plus after a long drive. The rooms/beds were comfortable and spacious. The washer & dryer was great along with the hot tub. It was super easy to come and go with the check in. There is 1 place that’s mainly a bar with food & that’s about it for food nearby. i’d say that’s the only con but given the area of wv it’s understandable just buy groceries! had a great stay, would come again.

This place was a gem. The views were absolutely stunning—whether it was sunrise with coffee or winding down in the evening, the scenery never got old. Inside, it felt like home from the moment I walked in. Clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully put together with everything I needed. You can tell the host really cares about creating a welcoming space. That’s why we’ve rented this place in the past as well.

The condo was extremely clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The decorations and overall feel of the place is great. The pool was nice to go down and enjoy as well. The view is incredible and we spent a good bit of time out on the balcony, just enjoying the beauty and serenity. We have zero complaints and nothing but praise for the condo and hosts. We definitely plan to return! Don't be deterred by the need to use the shuttle to travel back and forth to your car. The drivers were great and the wait for them was just a couple minutes. The entire complex seems laid back, friendly, and very well maintained. Food, groceries, or entertainment is all within a few minutes drive. While our friends were sweating in Bristol at 87 degrees, we were a cool 72 up on the mountain. It is a great place to cool off and recharge in the Summer.

Our family loved staying at Jared’s home. Lovely space, quiet but easy to get to Boone and Blowing Rock. Plenty of room for a family of five and we will certainly try to stay here again next time we are in the area.

This little cabin has become my home away from home when I’m having to get yucky medical stuff done in a close area. So clean, peaceful, easy is what I need; and that is this beautiful place! Haley is unbelievably wonderful! The home is amazing with fabulous wildlife to watch and tucked back away from the road. If you’re looking for peace, this it! Hands down amazing! Normally I’m critical of “away from home,” but not here! This home is everything and then some! You won’t be disappointed!

The house was exactly as described and was very clean. It was close to the expressway but very quiet and peaceful. The extra touches like the coffee/tea bar and snacks were a welcome treat. The beds were very comfortable. Kelli offered to set up the bed in the extra room which was appreciated after a long drive. Wed highly recommend this location and hope to return.

Special VT graduation weekend made even more special with our stay at Walnut Hill Lodge. The house was immaculate and well equipped for a family retreat. The mountain views out the windows and from all the surrounding decks were spectacular. We watched the farm dogs herd sheep from one pasture to another, and appreciated the beauty of the surrounding working farm. Michelle was a great host with wonderful recommendations for the local market and waterfall hike. Thanks for a memorable stay at your property.

Thx for great hospitality Rosalie and Chris! We had all meals outside and the kids ended up playing outside and exploring nature uninterrupted for our entire stay (what more can you ask for?) and we had some incredible wildlife experiences at dusk&dawn with all the animals coming out👌😊

We were looking for a peaceful retreat and found it at Anthony’s former school house. The back porch with the weather we enjoyed was heavenly. While not a brand new home with all its bells and whistles, it was nostalgic, clean, and met all our needs and expectations. Thank you, Anthony!

Perfect place to disconnect. The drive in can be a little rough with gravel roads, but it's fine with the right car. The views are stunning and it is so quiet with the occasional Moooooo from the pastures. The house is well stocked with old school toys and board games, my toddler loved the BoomBox and the walks through the hillside to find cows

We had a wonderful stay at this adorable home in Marion, VA! From the moment we arrived—greeted by deer in the yard—we knew it was going to be a special place. The house was absolutely perfect: cozy, comfortable, and spotless. The home was thoughtfully stocked, and having familiar touches like Dawn dish soap, Bounty paper towels, and B&BW hand soaps made us feel right at home. One of the highlights for our kids was having their cousins over to enjoy s’mores by the firepit—such a great outdoor space for making memories. The location couldn’t have been better either—close to the lake and near the rest of our family who were staying in cabin rentals at the park. After seeing our place, they might just opt for this one next time! Let them try it! This is our place now! While this trip was bittersweet, as we were here for my father-in-law’s burial in Saltville, having this warm, welcoming home to gather with family made all the difference. Stayed May 26-June 1. Perfect cabin for 4 people. We drove our RAM truck hauling 2 Harley bikes. The yard is big enough to accommodate. The driveway is gravel but it wasn’t too uphill. We encountered few problems and Ms. Jill answered all our questions and helped with the situation. She’s a phenomenal host! She’s very responsive, and accommodating to our issues. Complete amenities. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. We did brought our own ( we always do). We cooked breakfast for three days and cooked some steaks on the griddle outside on our 2nd night. Washed our clothes, laundry supplies provided. Great WiFi connection. We rode our bikes to the mountains. If you love to ride, you won’t regret staying here! 5 star review. Definitely recommended!

Incredible value! We had rock climbers/boulderers with us and have never been so close to roadside boulder problems. The telescope and mountain vista made it the perfect place to unwind after a day of climbing.

We loved this place. It was very comfortable, quiet, attractive, and spotlessly clean. We hope to return.

This is my second stay at Kelsey and Bethany’s house while in town to visit family, and I just love it - the simplicity of design and decor, the stories of the family in past years, the fully equipped kitchen, the front porch view, it’s all lovely. I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back.

The lodge and its hosts are amazing! Our only complaint is that our stay was too short to fully appreciate all that this lodge had to offer! My husband and I and our 8 children (ages 22, 20, 20, 18, 16, 15, 13, and 11) were visiting grandparents in the area. We had a fabulous time hiking the trails, playing poker, having a campfire, playing basketball, fishing in the creek, cooking in the kitchen, visiting with family, and taking in the amazing views. Several of the kids even said that it was good that the place didn't have great cellular service. The house is spacious with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen is well stocked for any kind of cooking. We would highly recommend this home and plan to stay again soon!

If you’re looking for a true escape from the city, Susan and Dave’s place is the perfect choice! The cabin is chic, spotless, and spacious , and the surroundings feel straight out of a fairytale. Susan and Dave are warm, welcoming, and excellent communicators. We’d love to come back and highly recommend this magical getaway!

We had such a wonderful time! The home was clean and beautiful, plenty to do there at the home and in the surrounding areas. Even with the many homes on the street, it felt private and relaxing the entire weekend. The host, Joe, was also so friendly! He gave us a tour when we got there, was extremely helpful, and he even helped us start our fire in the fire pit when he saw we were struggling. Wonderful place, great hospitality, would absolutely book this place again! Thank you Joe!
