Perfect accommodation in a fantastic location with great views over the Atlantic ocean. Watching the sea whilst enjoying a glass of wine in the hot tub, after a long day exploring this beautiful area was just perfect. The host, Sharon, checked in on us via a message to make sure everything was OK We visited Ilfracombe, Woolacombe and Bude during our stay and this holiday was made all the better in that the sun shone down on us all week. 🌞🌞☀️☀️🥂👍👍

The host was very responsive when we had questions and gave clear instructions on how to get in.The place itself is super quirky, decorated to a high standard & absolutely spotless. The super king sized beds are so so comfy. Best part is that it is a 2 minute walk from the beach! Would definitely recommend for a weekend away

Fabulous weekend away. The house is really well located and felt like home away from home.

We came as a party of 8 with 2 dogs to celebrate a significant (60th) birthday. Loved the location and breathtaking views. The property contained everything that we needed and was clean and tidy. Sally was a prompt and responsive host with any questions quickly answered. Those with mobility issues may struggle with the location, but it was perfect for us with some great walks nearby and wonderful pubs and restaurants. We would recommend this property.

Georgina as a host was fantastic, responsive and helpful. lots of information on the house and the area which was super helpful. The house itself was the perfect home away from home. The kitchen was fully equipped and the beds were super comfortable. We've been to Croyde for family holidays before and this is my favourite place of all we've stayed in. we'll be back!!!

Edd and Andrea were wonderful hosts, and we enjoyed a fantastic stay at their beautiful holiday cottage. My wife, Emma and I have stayed in many holiday homes over the years, but I feel I can confidently say I never stayed in any that were so thoughtfully decorated and such care given to everything you might need to make the stay special. There were so many extra personal touches that you really see in don't see in other holiday cottages. There are so many to list, but some include a great DVD collection, games, quality soaps, a range of speciality teas and coffees and some lovely welcome gifts. Then, there is the stunning locations and views from every floor over the estuary and Crow Point. Each night, we were treated to an amazing sunset, viewed from the lounge or directly outside the house on the grassy verge. We were just disappointed that work meant we could not stay longer, but we will hopefully return soon. I can wholeheartedly recommend this cottage and the great hosts.

Beautiful place for a family weekend. Rachael was very clear with her instructions. The jacuzzi was fantastic! Would definitely recommend for family getaway!

Lovely home, well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Great for 4 legged friends with a secure garden and suitable furnishings etc. The home is in a lovely area , with great views over the estuary from the rear of the house, particularly the main bedroom. Bideford itself is very pretty and a good base for exploring North Devon as it is close to the A39 / Atlantic Highway.

We loved our stay in Combe Martin, the caravan is perfectly located a short walk from the beautiful beaches, and there are wonderful walks on the South West Coast path and so many places interesting places to visit only a short drive away. The accommodation itself was really lovely and spotlessly clean. Please note there is no WiFi, and we feel it should not be listed in the amenities, as this is misleading. We finally purchased a connection to the John Fowler WiFi which was very poor and kept dropping off. This was frustrating and the only disappointment in an otherwise really fantastic stay.

Had a fantastic time with all my family, had everything you could possibly need and more!, games room was fantastic! Hot tub with the most amazing view, Huge dinner table was lovely to have all the family have a meal together. Everything was clean and smells great, so much space ! Neil was extremely responsive, would definitely book again

We had a fabulous stay at Capella. It's a beautiful house in a great location and tastefully decorated. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful place, great interior with beach style decorations. Toys in the 2nd bedroom. Very clean and well presented house. Perfect sea view, close to the main club house where all the action is, also close to the main park. Cute welcome package of necessities, which was very helpful as we got there late on the Friday night.

Great house in lovely location. Layout suited us well (2 families with kids and grandparents). Washing facilities proved very useful. Pool rota worked well and there was always a time available that suited us (open 8am-7pm). Host responded quickly. Lacking house guidance but not a problem and host responded to advise. Note access into house could be an issue for less able and push chairs-steep steps to front and lowest step broken away (advised host so this might get fixed). Rear access via steps and narrow sloping and muddy path. Parking to rear -you block in your other car. Parking spaces not spacious but adequate. We loved it thank you Beach Retreats!

The place was absolutely lovely, clean, bright and cosy! Everything we needed was there, the bed was comfy and I had such a good nights sleep. The shower was lovely! Next time I head to Devon to see my family, I most certainly will be booking again. The hosts were very responsive and checked to make sure I had checked in ok and to see if everything was ok. Had no trouble parking. The hosts left a packet of biscuits on the table for us, which happened to be my favourite biscuits so enjoyed them dunked in my morning cuppa whilst looking at the stunning view! Very much appreciated and added to our lovely stay.

Everything was as described. Neil was a great host and left a very generous welcome pack and a really useful folder of information. The house is in a good location, is spacious, and has amazing showers (although the high water pressure was less useful when our son drowned the kitchen as soon as we arrived!). The kitchen, although not that modern, is large and very well equipped. We didn't use the dining area much except for meals: it was a bit chilly (bring slippers for the tiled floor), there were no blinds on the windows, and WiFi didn't reach well into that room. In fact, it's worth bringing a collapsible table if you plan to use a laptop much in the house. The beds were all really comfortable but the curtains in most bedrooms are very light and thin so blackout blinds are advised. We stayed outside the swimming pool opening season but used the pool at Ruda down the road which was really fun. The pool table was great for an extra activity on rainy days. Overall, we'd recommend.

Another wonderful stay at Sandy Beau! Such a fantastic home, with everything you need to feel right at home. The location is amazing just a few minutes from the beach and an easy walk into the centre of Croyde. We’ll definitely be back

Owlscombe exceeded our expectations. The setting, views & garden are stunning. The property is extremely well equipped & had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. There's a large paved patio overlooking the sea, lawned area perfect for garden games & an enchanting 'woodland' style garden. There is a plentiful supply of crockery, glassware & cutlery so we didn't run out of anything before the dishwasher was full (there are two - which helps keep the kitchen free of dirty dishes). We especially appreciated the generous supply of mugs & that there were large mugs (my partner always takes his own when we go away as so many places only have small ones!). The stairgates & high chair we requested were set up ready for our arrival. Our party included a young baby & an 87 year old, so it was important to us to stay somewhere it was a pleasure to spend time rather than just use as a base. Owlscombe was perfect & Stuart couldn't have been more helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

Beautiful 3 bed home, perfectly situated for different tourist attractions and beaches. The house is spacious, spotlessly clean, well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Diana was a brilliant host, and quick to respond with any queries from the start. We had a brilliant family holiday, and will definitely be back! Thank you Diana :)

Beautifully kept property which is really near to the village and beach. Easy check and very informative host. Would definitely recommend.

We loved the location of the property and made the most of the access to the walks at the top of the garden, the easy stroll to the beach and having nice pubs and restaurants close by. The hot tub was a bonus that we all enjoyed! Sarah and Chris were excellent hosts, being very responsive in advance providing additional cots, highchairs and baths for the twins, and dealing with a couple of minor issues during the stay very quickly.

We had a great stay with our two young daughters. The house was lovely with lots of space ...our daughters loved the children's room with books and toys. it made a real difference to us having the house so set up for young children with stair gates, kids crockery, high chair etc. the location was good and about a 15 min walk to the beach which was beautiful. there are playgrounds in the village and lots to see locally with the kids so a great week!

The porthole is exactly as Jane describes. It’s a great location that’s private and only a short walk to both the beach and the centre of Croyde. The garden is lovely for a BBQ too.
