Chalet holiday rentals in Wisconsin River

Even though half of our group was unable to make it, there was plenty of room to fit all 8 of us that we had planned for. The pictures were great and the place looked exactly like the pictures, with the exception of the deck furniture. The furniture was there but it was off of the side of the deck instead of setup fully. The weather wasn't good enough to be hanging outside much, so it wasn't a deterrent or detriment for us. The backyard was very private. The property is ringed in trees so it has a very secluded feel to it. The house is just off of the highway so very easy to find. We will definitely consider renting this place again. Hopefully next time the whole group will be able to make it.

This was our second stay as an extended family gathering for family celebrations. The house is very accomodating and doesn't feel at all crowded with 8 people staying for a duration. ( More often than not we were all gathered in one room, but if anyone needed to get away there was plenty of space to do that too.) Gardens and green space are serene and beautiful. So nice and quiet!!. Saw turkey, fox and ducks. Thank you! Our family's been in Wausau since 1950 so it's good to find The Chalet as a home away from home.

Our family stayed at the cabin in early May 2025. The cabin is a beautiful and peaceful place with everything you could want while being away from home. Host (Kim) was amazing and there to help with anything we needed. Highly recommended!!! We enjoyed everything… the fire pit, kayaking, walking trail, fishing, tree climbing, wildlife (deer, birds, porcupine, turtles). Full kitchen and bbq outdoors to cook for the family. The cabin is about 30 minutes from The Dells and we explored everything we could. Timbavati Wildlife Park, Deer Park, Wizard Quest, and Aquavia Lumina were all incredible. Thanks for helping us make more memories. We really enjoyed our time and can’t wait to come back and explore more!

We loved our 3rd stay at Mia’s Black Dog Lodge. It is very clean and well-supplied. The lodge fits our needs for a small ladies retreat perfectly.

Greg’a place was very clean with a lovely view of the river. The heated floors and useable fireplace made the space extra special. Would stay here again.

The place was incredible! Amazing amenities with the movie theater, campfire, outdoor area, and plenty of room for our group: Perfect for a weekend away! Jeremy was kind enough to share this place with us, and was extremely clear and thoughtful in his instructions and rules for our stay. He provided great recommendations around the area and was communicative about ways to enhance our trip. Couldn’t have had such a great vacation without his help! Thank you again

Chris was very responsive and the house was great! As listed and very welcoming. Great location with not a lot of traffic. Was very understanding and helpful. Would definitely recommend. Would definitely look to book again.

Sandy and Rick were great hosts! Rick gave us some great food and activity recommendations. You feel at home when you walk into the house. The outside deck and screened porch are great for listening to the birds, taking in the beautiful river and just relaxing. You have everything you need to enjoy your stay

Had a fantastic time in Minoqua, the cabin had everything we needed and the game room was perfect at the end of the day! Loved the mornings with a great view on the lake, and close to downtown Minoqua so there was lots to do close by!

Beautiful cabin and fabulous property. Our family of 5 and dog stayed for a long weekend and it was amazing. Brad was a great host, extremely responsive. The home was absolutely as listed and we would definitely recommend to others. We can’t wait to come back again.
