“Fantastic in every way. We were a bunch of women on our annual birthday getaway, and loved every bit of this funky, thoughtful place. It has tons of space for hanging out, lounging in the sun, finding private time, exploring. A quick walk took us to the historic downtown of Winters, where we had a lovely dinner on the patio at Preserve and then went to a Tim O'Brien concert at The Palms. We had lunch and coffee at Steady Eddy's, tooled through a couple of shops, tried craft brews at Hooby's Brewery, checked out the new restoration along the Putah River, and tasted some flavors at Turkovich Family Wines shop and the new Patio 29 Distiller tasting room. Thanks for the fun place and for all of the thoughtful design details, Shaunie!”
The Abbey House Inn, built in 1905 is a five Suite historic Inn that was fully renovated in 2002. Our largest and most romantic bedroom with a queen size bed, a large attached private bath with a shower and six foot whirlpool tub, fireplace and private deck and entrance. Cool mauves accented by warm gold colors and traditional furnishings set a romantic tone. A wide porch wraps around the small inn for afternoon cocktails. Stroll one block to restaurants, shops, wine tasting and brew pubs.
“If you are going through the Winters area I highly recommend staying with any of Pam and Eric’s B & B’s. We are expat travelers and have been around the world and by far this was our favorite stay... Total luxury and the best of everything... Warm Regards, Lee Anne & Ewell Young”
The Gregory Room is situated on the second floor at the most north west wing of our 2005 home, is a perfect place to enjoy or retreat from the city. Centrally located in green hills, fish-filled pond neighborhood, we are a short bike ride or drive (2 miles) from Sacramento's Capital, best eateries, bars and headline venue.
“This place is an excellent gated neighborhood where one could walk alone at night and be safe. Large, well-kept homes with large yards. Plenty of places to go out and have a good walk or run. Short drive to eateries. Gavin made communication enjoyable. Check-in details were detailed. Spoke to Gavin on phone regarding a bit of a change on our end and was excellent making an exception to having my mother stay in the same room as her travel accommodations changed last-minute. Large, expansive home and room meet our needs. Home was away from your usual urban noise which allowed for a quiet rest. Appreciated how well-lit the interior was at night made getting water downstairs easy. Room was perfect size. Will be back in the future.”
