Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Wintergreen Resort

We really enjoyed our stay at Rockfish Farmhouse. Sarah & Bryan thought of every last detail. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer. We could have used an extra day or two to relax just a little bit longer. We were in town for a Liberty University Graduation and we sure did enjoy coming back each night to the Farmhouse to rest our tired bodies and take in the gorgeous views. We traveled with my elderly parents, and they were so comfortable at Sarah & Bryan's! We could not stop gushing about this hidden little gem. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making this experience such a memorable one. We will certainly be back as we have our youngest starting in the Fall at LU. Thanks again & we'll be back soon.

Three couples wanted a central meeting place to spend some quality time catching up with each other. It was just the perfect place! We had a nice time talking in the hot tub, around the fire on the cozy porch, and in the exquisite pool. The goats added a nice touch to this country setting. The kitchen had all the cooking supplies we needed and more. We did a good bit of eating onsite so that was appreciated. We unfortunately didn’t use the pingpong table or other games but they were there to enjoy. There were plenty of towels and the new washer and dryer were great. It’s a great location to experience the many local wineries. Bobbi and Keith were excellent hosts, friendly and gave great suggestions of things to do. Everything about our stay was wonderful. We hope to return soon!

This was the perfect place for our long weekend getaway with friends! The hot tub was so relaxing, the property was peaceful, and Ashley made the whole process super smooth and easy! Great, cozy space with large kitchen - highly recommend!!

Great house layout with a beautiful porch and lots of parking. The host is very responsive and helpful. It’s a little off the beaten path but close to lots of breweries and wineries. Would absolutely stay here again.

Amy and Gareth made sure to think about every detail. They made sure that the purpose of our trip was celebrated. Amy provided a list of local recommendations and it was so helpful! The aesthetics of the house is also so natural and relaxing. There was no need to stress out about anything because the house came fully equipped. The walking path down to the river was also so beautiful! We cannot thank them enough for such a memorable time!

Perfect location for the college graduation we were attending. We took advantage of visiting Lovingston Winery, which is right up the road. Ms. Maria’s home was so unique and peaceful! Wonderfully renovated with so many unique touches and decor! Loved learning about the backstory of the home. Enjoyed a campfire under the stars and morning coffee in the sunroom! Vonnie and Bruce were wonderful hosts and the home has everything you’ll need for an incredible stay! Highly recommend staying here… you don’t want to miss out on this gem!

This house and property were everything we were looking for! It is a beautifully renovated home with excellent river access and stunning views. My family had the best time and we would go back without hesitation! 10/10 recommend! The owners were very responsive and accommodating as well.

Ed and Camille were amazing, they have a sweet apartment with a great Jacuzzi and pool. We were in town for a wedding and were blessed that Ed’s spot was open as it was only 15 minutes from the wedding venue. The apt was clean and everything was working, the kitchen was spotless as well. Ed and Camille were great, very communicative and nice people.

This little retreat is so peaceful and serene. It's the perfect place to unplug and just soak up the nature. The apartment was cozy and had all the right touches to make you feel at home.

Henry’s place was a wonderful home base for our weekend trip to Charlottesville. The apartment was spotless, and the view is beautiful. They provide a binder of local recommendations, which we found very helpful. We had planned to spend some time in Charlottesville/south of Charlottesville for one day, and towards the Afton area for another day - Henry’s place is perfectly situated between both of those areas. He was always quickly responsive as well. Perfect for a stay in Charlottesville- thanks Henry!

It was really great for our family to get away for a few days over Thanksgiving! The property is beautiful and peaceful, and the suite was cozy. Overall we enjoyed the flexibility of having a few different rooms, being able to cook (as much as we needed/wanted to), and the fact that the earth room doesn't have windows allowed us to sleep in late. As far as amenities, the tub pretty amazing. I also really enjoyed peeking at some of the crafting books on the bookshelves - the cowgirl room in particular has a workshop feel that I enjoyed! Really grateful we were able to go on this trip - thank you!

Here’s my review: Our stay was absolutely outstanding! We loved everything about the apartment—from the thoughtful remodel and stylish decor to the soothing wall colors and spotless cleanliness. The location was perfect, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. We also fell in love with the quaint, charming town and how easy it was to walk everywhere. This was the perfect spot for our little mini-vacation, and we would absolutely stay here again. Thank you so much for hosting us!

Great stay! It was great bringing our pet on our snowboarding trip. Plenty of room and pet friendly in suite 1. Great location for local breweries, hiking, and snow sports. The bed was super comfy! Would definitely stay again!

A very warm and welcoming space, a very peaceful stay. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here

This cabin offers a lot of solitude . . . the road runs deep into the woods. Everything was clean and as advertised. We were with our daughter, who was through-hiking the Appalachian Trail. There is an AT crossing a few hundred yards south of the cabin, and so was able to walk right up Spy Rock Road to the cabin and check in before we arrived from Richmond airport. Both Mike and Beth were very helpful and responsive. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Great location for a summer trip to the area! Lots of amenities in the house and just as described.

Words cannot describe the feeling of pure calm that comes over you when you arrive. This place is truly a treasure hidden in the woods. Once you cross the creek you leave the world and all your cares behind. The host pays attention to all the little details and it shows. We have stayed at quite a few places but this one is on our return list. We look forward to sliding up for a long weekend in the late fall or early winter. (Tip- be sure to spend 15 min reading the welcome package it is time well spent).

I’d argue that this is one of the best places to stay in Wintergreen. The cabin itself is perfect. We are a young family and it was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. The location is also perfect. It is very close to all the attractions on the resort. Clay was a great host as well. The perfect amount of communication; engaged without being intrusive. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be sure their trip is easy and successful!

Perfect Place for our College Girls Reunion …. The home is located in a private and beautiful area. The kitchen, bedrooms, bath are all well equipped with anything you need. The host left of some fun treats and wine. We had a wonderful stay.

This is our second year in a row that we stayed here for our annual family retreat (me, my wife and adult children with their partners). We loved it the first time and it was every bit as good the second. The house is in a beautiful peaceful setting tucked away in the woods with a mountain view. We spent most of our time during the day out on the decks, which were very comfortable with plenty of seating, outdoor couches and tables. We also took advantage of the fire pit. The house is actually much larger in size than how it looks . There is a good-sized living room with huge couch and large TV. Everyone had private rooms, which were very clean and comfortable with excellent furnishings. The kitchen was fully supplied for our cooking needs. Whenever we had a question Breanna was very quick to respond. If you're looking for a true getaway, I highly recommend staying here.

There are many details about the cabin that Sarah added to make the place feel comforatble and homey. We were especially lucky to be there when the iris, mountain laurel and some roses that surrouond the cabin were blooming, but I expect there are other flowers at other times.

It rained the entire stay. While we had expected better weather, you cannot beat the windows and the sound of the rain on the roof, for a great getaway atmosphere. We loved it.
