We loved our stay here. The place was cozy and had everything we needed. Location was perfect - very convenient for exploring Bath. Garden was a bonus - Kids enjoyed watching the chickens. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting this area!

Lovely house with everything you need to not have to worry about anything. Located near to wonderful pubs and restaurants and a short walk to the train station, with easy routes to both Bath and Bristol. We really enjoyed our stay and Alan & Alex were very friendly when we did have an interaction with them. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get away from the hussel and bussel of a busy town or city.

I cannot fault this home! We all kept commenting on how lovely it was during our stay! It was a lovely location for visiting Paulton's Park (the main reason for our visit to this part of the world) and we also went to Stourhead which was beautiful, but the house made family time so easy and enjoyable. In the lead-up to arriving, I contacted Victoria quite a few times with some questions and she couldn't have been more accomodating of my baby brain! Thank you! we've already recommended it to friends! x

wow wow...what a wonderful place. we were welcomed by Sara who was full of local information and Flo the cocker spaniel who greeted us like we were old friends. John filled in the gaps with the history of the house and surrounding landscape. we were very lucky with the weather and were able to fully appreciate swimming in the river and sitting out enjoying watching mo the lawnmower weaving across the immaculate garden. We enjoyed walks from the door and visiting Stonehenge and Salisbury via the local bus service. we couldn't have asked for a better holiday than this. it was truly amazing and we felt totally chilled by the end of it. Thank you Sara and John for making us feel so welcome and sharing your home and garden with us. We cannot fault anything and will most definately be back.

I felt extremely welcome right away. Michele's accommodation is one that stands out from many thanks to small, warm details. As soon as I entered the accommodation, I could feel how much Michele enjoys being a host. Everything was prepared with a lot of love: fresh flowers on the table, a personalized welcome at the table, a few breakfast cereals (including milk, which I was able to request in advance). I find the accommodation itself even more beautiful than it looks in the photos. Nice size, great layout, you could move in right away. 😉 Michele came by to greet me in person and answer any questions I might have. The check-in was completely flexible. The bed was totally cozy. Although the cottage is in the garden of the hosts and maybe one of the two scurries past it, you have your peace and privacy. I would come back anytime, because it was perfect all around!!

Lovely homely property in a peaceful village. Lovely area for walking and lots of recommendations of where to walk and interesting places to visit. All the information given was very clear. Fiona was very responsive and seems to genuinely care that her guests have a great time. Very well equipped property. Beds very comfortable and a very pretty enclosed garden for our dogs

What a lovely relaxing and peaceful place to stay! Would highly recommend climbing Martinsell using the map book available by the tv. Would highly recommend this area plenty to do and enough privacy if needing that also.

This property is in such a beautiful village, that we never wanted to leave! The space is bright and airy, w/everything needed to be comfy. There’s a binder w/everything you need to know, plus info about the 2 local pubs & dining options, etc. (Thurs. night at the Catherine Wheel is a MUST!). You won’t find anything remotely touristy in the village, which is why we loved it so, but it’s perfectly situated for easy drives to Bath, the Cotswolds, Diddly Squat Farm & The Farmer’s Dog (for Top Gear/Jeremy Clarkson fans), and so much more! Check out Soho Farmhouse in Chipping Norton for a truly fantastic outing! The Goat Shed has a double gate behind which you and your vehicle are safe and secure (although there’s no need for concern of that in Marshfield!). A grass lawn awaits your pet or children to play in, with zero risk of danger or escape. These 2 ladies from Canada and the U.S highly recommend a stay here (just bring a face cloth, as that was the only thing missing)!

Lovely place in a lovely area! Very clean throughout and had everything we needed. It was just a 15 minute walk to the centre of bath so lactation was also perfect! Would love to stay again! Great communication aswell

Great value for money. Ann went over and above, as described on other reviews. Communicated brilliantly when we were informing her of what was going on after our car broke down. After a long drive it was great that some essentials were provided. There’s was great info and tips about the local area. She also left us a card and a sweet treat since we were on our honeymoon. The peg wall of leaflets is a lovely touch. Amazingly close to the white horse as well. We didn’t use the laundry facilities but it was great that it was there. Thanks for a great stay.

My two dogs and I had a lovely stay. It was peaceful and a great place to stay after our long flight over from Canada.

Absolutely beautiful accommodation and a beautiful garden! Everything was spotlessly clean and there was more provided than I expected. Lucy is a fantastic host! I highly recommend this lovely place in a picturesque part of the country.

Sara-Jane’s garden flat is of a high specification and more. It is everything you can wish for in a property with a great location to boot. Whilst there was a lot of events going in Bath when we stayed, there was a sense of peace and tranquility here. This meant we had a peaceful sleep with no disturbances. Sara-Jane is a wonderful host, always conscientious of ensuring her guests are made to feel comfortable and at ease. 😊👏🏻

The flat was as described and the location perfect. Since Bath is a cute but quite small city it is easy to reach the flat by foot since it is located in the centre. Staying there for a few days was comfortable, even though it was quite warm (no fault of Rachaels ;)) Rachael informed us thoroughly about the Check-in/way to get into the flat, with pictures attached. It's just a bit complicated to get to the key with clumsy fingers (again, no fault of Rachael!) I enjoyed staying at the flat for two nights and would love to return someday :)

Victoria's property is exquisitely decorated and furnished throughout. The location is perfect for a short stroll into the town centre and access to the disused railway walking trail opposite. The living room is large and very light and airy with a high ceiling. Although at first floor level, the back door opens out onto a lovely enclosed garden. Ideal for our dog. Above all, we were very surprised as to how peaceful and quiet the location was. Thoroughly recommend it, couldn't have wished for any more, Victoria had thought of everything.

We absolutely loved our stay at Helen’s. Before the stay, Helen was very responsive to our questions & provided wonderful restaurant recommendations so we could make reservations ahead of the bank holiday weekend. She met us at the flat for check-in and showed us around. It was located just over the river Avon from the center of Bath, and everything was 0.25-0.5 mile walk, which was wonderful. The street was so quiet, a nice change from our flat near Paddington Station in London, which was quite noisy. The flat is exactly as pictured and described in the listing. Everything was fresh and clean, and there was a beautiful small garden in the back for relaxing. Helen leaves a lovely little basket of treats as well as a quart of milk for your tea or coffee - a very nice surprise that we seldom see in Airbnbs. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend to friends.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Jane Austen’s former home—charming, quirky, and full of character. The apartment is beautifully restored with a perfect mix of historic detail and modern comfort. From flagstone floors and Georgian panelling to surround sound and a rainfall shower, every space is thoughtfully designed. We especially loved the light-filled kitchen overlooking a rose-filled courtyard and the cozy, art-filled living spaces. The location is ideal, right across from the Holburne Museum and Sydney Gardens, and Maxwell was a fantastic host—warm, responsive, and attentive. Sitting at the wooden desk, it was easy to channel your inner Austen, finding inspiration here. A peaceful, welcoming home that made us feel both transported and completely at ease.

Great location, just over Pulteney Bridge so nice and quiet at nighttime but very easy to walk over to the main attractions during the day. Lots of great restaurants etc. very close by too. The apartment itself is impressive! The scale is larger than the photos, all very spaced out with lots of room. The design is great and everything was spotless. The kitchen had amenities to be able to cook at home. Great window coverings to allow complete blockout at night, however also allowed through flow of air during the day. As advertised, it is upstairs, so something to note. We were made aware there were renovation works on the apartment upstairs, however they were all conducted in normal construction hours and we barely heard any noise. Overall, peaceful and so enjoyable, we would stay here again and highly recommend it.

We loved our stay at Eileen & Trevor’s garden flat, v. well equipped & supper comfy bed/bedding. Excellent, fast communication. We were greeted warmly by Eileen with lots of information & route maps. Enjoyed having a cuppa in the lovely garden, we even had a card for our anniversary, very thoughtful. Location is excellent with a pretty walk into the city through Sydney Gardens in a beautiful area, but equally the bus stop for the city is on the doorstep.2 Everything was very clean & comfortable - when we arrived back one day after the weather turned cold with heavy rain it was so lovely to return to a warm place. Would definitely recommend this garden flat.
