What an amazing place! This is something special. It is a beautiful thought out structure with spectacular furnishings and such a well designed space. Underfloor heating! That is a first for me and my partner and I loved it. The hosts kept the rustic look alive in how they designed it and even had a thatched roof!. Outside the cottage is a world of summer flowers, carefully attended by the older lady who lived in the adjoining cottage. Of course the hot tub and sauna were a great addition. I loved that they did not spare expense with the furnishings from the well designed dish drip tray to the fancy fan in the bedroom. We wish we could have spent more time here as after a few days travelling we spent one of our days lounging in the hot tub with a glass of champagne whilst listening to the constant bird chorus and watching the horses saunter around in adjoining fields. Really is a magical space. We loved it. Thanks Paul

We had a really wonderful and relaxing break here with our pup walking through the Lake District. This house was perfect, in stunning gardens and close to everything we wanted to do. We even enjoyed eggs from the chickens which came to say hi to us every day. A really beautiful place to stay, comfortable and had everything we needed.

Emily and Daniel were brilliant hosts and very easy to communicate with. Their home is beautiful and it was spotlessly clean too. Their pool area is stunning so if you get the weather it’s a really lovely space to enjoy. I would recommend this to anyone looking to spend time in this area, just be aware that the pool area is shared with their home. We were staying as did the Seven Sisters hike one day (40mins drive away). Thank you again for a lovely stay.

We had a fantastic bank holiday weekend at The Woodlands. The view is sensational with beautiful walks on the doorstep. The house itself has all the amenities that you might need and is beautifully decorated and stocked with White Company products. It's a luxurious home away from home.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The space was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. We really appreciated the little touches that made it feel like a home away from home. The jacuzzi was lovely! The hosts were great at providing us with all the information we needed for a stress free check in/out and a perfect stay. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a mini break. Peacocks were a lovely surprise seeing them walk around the estate. Thanks again! My husband, 10-year-old daughter and myself have just returned from a truly amazing week, the property is beautiful, with facilities that far exceeded expectations. We had such a relaxing time; the beds are super comfy; led in bed looking out to sea with a coffee in the morning was a true highlight. The gardens are beautifully kept and being gated and private we had no worries with our daughter playing out. The walk down to Watcombe Beach, albeit steep on the way back up but 100% worth it; we took our paddleboard down and went swimming on a number of occasions, the water is very calm, on 2 occasions we were in the water and within 20ft off us were 2 seals! The hot tub was perfect, lovely fluffy robes provided to keep off the chill. We used the BBQ each evening and ate out on the patio. Susan is an incredible host, nothing is too much trouble, very informative and exceedingly helpful, she really did enhance our stay and made us feel as if we were staying in a home from home.

We loved our stay here. It is on a main road but once you are inside it is very peaceful. Being set back from the sea by wide water means it is also very private for a beachside property. There were a few bits left for our arrival which was lovely and we felt right at home from the moment we walked in. The beach was about 2 mins from the door but there was always plenty to see from the window inside. Comms were great and instructions were clear and helpful. Highly recommend this one for anyone looking for a chilled and relaxed break near the sea. Really lovely.

everything in the listing is accurate and this accommodation is ideally situated to explore Southend and walking or public transport is very straightforward so no need for the car most of the time . various restaurants available in walking distance but if you choose to eating there is most everything you need to cater for yourself. thoroughly recommend this place and will certainly be returning in the future.

Victoria’s flat was amazing! She definitely deserves a 5+ rating! What a wonderful find! The charming town of Tetbury is easily walkable from “The Retreat”. There are so many places to eat, drink, walk, shop and explore. We would love to return! Thank you, Victoria, for sharing your lovely flat with us! It was perfect!

By far, the most beautiful airbnb we’ve stayed in. The way this property has been decorated is incredible - so much so that we changed our plans to spend more time in to make the most of it. The kitchen was well equipped (like the rest of the house) for us to make dinner. Angus was really friendly and had great communication throughout our break. If you’re not used to having people live near you, it’s good to know there is a little noise from upstairs - however it did not impact on our stay. Would highly recommend this property for if you’re looking to stay in the peaks.

We had a great stay at this lovely apartment. It’s stylishly decorated, well-equipped, and just a short walk from the centre of town. The cot and high chair provided were perfect for our 1.5-year-old, and everything was very comfortable and easy. Check-in instructions were clear and straightforward. Parking outside the apartment was full when we arrived on Friday evening, which made unloading a little tricky, but there was space on Sunday when we left so it may just have been the timing. Overall, a really nice base for our weekend and we’d definitely recommend it!

This is an absolute gem of a place and location, with views right across the Darent Valley. I only wish we could have stayed longer! The place was spotless and everything had been perfectly prepared and very well thought through (from the local hand-drawn maps right down to the vast array of toiletries on offer). I can't think of a single thing to change or improve about the place. Diana was a lovely host and provided a lot of information prior to arrival. She had also found some suggestions of activities for us tailored to our interests, which was frankly above and beyond. We were very grateful and it was clear a lot of thought had been put in prior to our arrival. I could carry on for pages but in summary, we have already recommend the place to family and friends and we be pleased to offer our recommendation here too.
