Cabin holiday rentals in Willow River

This place was such a good weekend get away! This cabin is super private which we loved. So much wild life! and they had lots of fun activities to offer! Lovely space!

We came up for a small celebratory getaway after a small wedding ceremony held at our home in St. Cloud area. We appreciated that it was very dog friendly and also so close to Duluth. We were a bit unlucky with the weather as it turned pretty cold, windy and rainy, but were still able to use the hot tub intermittently and especially enjoyed the fireplace inside. There are also have really cute string lights setup overhead. It is a very cozy space. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, anything that was unsatisfactory was really just down to the weather which was not anyone's fault! Thanks, Chantel.

Chris’ place was just as described. Beautiful views, clean, and sharp kitchen knives were a lovely bonus! Like some others have said I would prefer blinds or curtains in the front living room for a bit of added privacy.

1. Favorite: The beds were super comfy… u will get a great night sleep any of the 4 beds that are here… we all loved it. The beds were amazing.. High-lights: 2. Good time snowmobiling and ice fishing on the lake. 3. Relaxing in the hot tub at 10pm, 20° outside with many stars in the sky…

Our family thrived at Liz’s cabin! The river was perfect for my younger kids—calm and shallow in most areas, great for first-time kayakers. For more adventure, we tried paddling upstream, which was a fun challenge and a great life lesson in perseverance! Downstream and around the cabin is smooth and peaceful, perfect for kids. I recommend bringing a cooler with simple meal ingredients. I packed sandwich supplies but wished I’d brought more—vodka pasta would be ideal here! I made a quick run into town for spaghetti, but options are limited (as Liz notes in her very helpful guide). We also had dinner at Pokegama Lakeside—great food, a beautiful lake view, and an authentic Native American canoe on display! Liz has created a truly magical place. The natural landscaping, cozy cabin details, and high-quality linens made it so comfortable. Thank you, Liz, for such a special stay!

Absolutely exceptional cabin in rural Wisconsin! The space was beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, making it feel cozy and luxurious. We had a wonderful time relaxing in the hot tub and watching the beavers by the water—such a peaceful and unique experience. Highly recommend!

We needed to find immediate accommodations quite late at night. Luckily, our host was super helpful and made the whole process a breeze. She was a lifesaver! Our visit was absolutely amazing. The location and accommodations were aesthetically pleasing and perfectly aligned with our requirements. We sure hope we will visit again!

Garrett’s place was so cozy and cute! We loved relaxing there with our little family. The hot tub feels private without neighbors being able to see you. The beds are nice (primary bedroom bed is super plush, but you can take the mattress topper cover off if that doesn’t work for your back). We loved walking to the restaurant in the evenings and playing darts and enjoying their specials. You can see the lake from the cabin windows, and the sunset from the kitchen. There were a lot of hospitable details that we really appreciated.

Enjoyed the sauna, kids love the bunk bed. The mattress wasn’t the most comfortable for me. The place is not fancy but was private, nice porch, fire pit and adequate kitchen. Worked for what we needed.

A very good place to base exploration of the surrounding area. Has all the amenities that parents with young children need including a folding crib, high chair, playground, and a safe interior space for them to play. Very well-appointed interior, fully equipped kitchen, nice bathroom. We plan to stay here every time we need a place to stay around here.

Beautiful home on a perfect private beach on the North Shore. A group of us get together every year for an agate picking weekend and our normal spot in Beaver Bay was booked, but we found this as a replacement and it was amazing! Great homey feel, lots of cool artwork, and a fantastic view of the lake. Would definitely recommend this place as a perfect North Shore escape.

It's always enjoyable having a host that communicates effectively; Kaity was one of those hosts. Her welcome note was thorough and provided all the information we needed for both check-in and check-out. The home is adorable. The massive windows in the main gathering space gave you the 'full north woods' feel. Kitchen is smallish but we certainly appreciated how well stocked it was with all the appropriate cooking utensils. Providing a drip coffee pot and pour over was a great touch; we used them both. Bed mattresses were awesome - nice and firm. We were there for the mountain biking and boy did we have fun on so many of the nearby trails. Bottom line: It's a nice place to getaway to.

We had a very fun time and Keith and Sara were helpful when we had any questions. The area is beautiful and canoeing on the lake is a must!

This was a great getaway for our little family of four! With a 2 year old and a 4 year old, we've been wanting to go camping but not quite ready yet for the whole experience. Brien and Shelley's place gave us the experience of nature, togetherness, and some amount of fending for ourselves (bringing drinking water, using an outdoor toilet, bonfires, etc.), while still providing the comfort and ease of a real bed and a real kitchen! We love visiting Two Harbors, where there is plenty to explore and it's a quick drive to multiple State parks, and yet, we were amazed and grateful at how private this place was. And what a bonus to have the river run through! (Great for our agate-loving family members.) Thanks for your hospitality! We hope to return!

Nice clean cabin. Beds and linens were very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. Beautiful location on the water.

The Blue cabin was amazing. David and Laurie were excellent hosts, very experienced in hospitality and hosting guests. They were also very respectful of our privacy, but also super responsive for any raising needs or questions. Our dogs loved the place and freedom to roam.

The Owl Barn was one of the best homes we’ve stayed at, and we’ve stayed at a lot! It was comfortable and beautifully decorated with lots to do both inside and outside. It was close to many great parks and hikes. Aaron thought of every detail in the house including night lights in the bedrooms, a basket of miscellaneous items incase you forget something, empty storage space for your food in the kitchen, a welcome card and snack, etc. They made such great use of the space. Our family of 5 had plenty of room and a wonderful, relaxing stay!

This cabin was really nice to stay in! Me and some pals came here for a summer vacation road-trip, and it was pretty cozy! We all enjoyed our time here, and hope so come back someday!

My stay at The Woodlands was exactly what I was looking for—quiet, cozy, and deeply restorative. The cabin has a peaceful, tucked-away feel that made it easy to unplug and settle into stillness. I spent the weekend journaling, reading, and just breathing, with no pressure to be anywhere but there. While there were tons of trails to hike and stars to gaze, I didn’t venture out much—sometimes the best kind of retreat is the one where you don’t feel the need to do anything at all if your content and coszy staying in. The space itself is thoughtfully laid out and incredibly comfortable, with just the right balance of rustic charm and intentional care. I’m so grateful for the chance to stay—it was exactly the reset I needed.

Beautiful space and location. Very quiet and peaceful. Extremely clean and great amenities. Excellent communication with quick response to any needs. It’s hard to find a lake place that ticks all the boxes we were looking for on this trip! But we did!

Charming. Enchanted. Magical. Hidden Treasure. Complete Gem. We LOVED our stay at the River Cabin. The enclosed porch is a complete dream; we heard so many birds (the Merlin Bird App is great & free!) Bird feeders were well stocked and birds were visiting them constantly- including hummingbirds and the pileated woodpecker. I fell in love with the wood thrush's song. The blankets and pillows were like snuggling clouds- SO comfortable! I loved the giant couch - it offered plenty of space for our family to hang out and get comfy. Chad had a nice list of recommendations on a chalkboar; we tried Parker's Sandbar- best pizza & cheese curds EVER. (So good that we got it twice!) Chad's property offers much opportunity to explore & has incredibly well maintained trails and a beautiful river. We saw deer and a raccoon. Very highly recommend. Thanks for sharing your place! We are already looking forward to our next stay!

This cozy studio cabin nestled in the trees had everything we needed for a relaxing, peaceful place to stay while exploring the area with friends. Melisa answered any questions we had quickly and was very communicative on check in/checkout procedures. The bed was like sleeping on a fluffy cloud. We left our dog home on this trip but it's a great place to bring your fur babies as a tie out, poop scooper, toys and dog dishes are provided. We would stay here again and we highly recommend it...2 thumbs up!

Really enjoyed this space, gorgeous lake view, with that up north feel! Peaceful and charming! What you'll find: Rustic cabin with amenities. Has a full kitchen, with WIFI, and spacious living space with dining table. Has a deck, grill-bring charcoal/lighter fluid. There's front entry for shoes/outdoor gear. There is also a fire pit-provide your own wood. Great space to use as your base to travel to adventures in the area. There is a dock on the lake. Nice rear deck, spacious yard and lake for swimming, expect to jump off a dock to swim. Quiet neighbors for the most part. Nice shower and bathroom. Definetly works for a family if you're looking to prepare your meals and have a space to do so, this is the place!

Came up for memorial weekend which we stayed 3 nights. We had a friend’s gathering and it was amazing! They have a beautiful trail which leads to the river and tree house! The cabin itself felt really homey and made our stay really comfortable. Daniel is kind and very clear with instructions. He was kind of enough to let us do a late checkout. Can’t wait to come back!
