Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Wilkes County

We loved this beautiful cozy cabin! From the peaceful location in the middle of the woods to the little extras like the fresh flowers in a vase, specially folded towels and toilet paper, the kitchen with every little thing you can think about you’ll need, the amazing record collection to listen to and the huge stack of firewood for the pit outside. Best cabin ever! And for those who are bringing their horses to the Leatherwood stables to ride, this cabin is just a 10 min drive ! Thank you!

Absolutely loved our stay! The Airbnb was exactly what we needed—secluded, peaceful, and incredibly relaxing. Surrounded by nature, it felt like a true escape from the hustle of daily life. Everything was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully set up to make us feel at home. The quiet atmosphere made it easy to unwind and recharge. We’ll definitely be back!

We’d loved staying at Brenna’s place! The hot tub and heated floors in the bathroom were a hit for the adults, and the toys were a huge hit for my toddler! We had a great time and would definitely stay again.

A little spot of heaven, that's the best way we could describe it. Michael was very helpful in recommending things to do in town! The house has everything you could need plus some (my fiance and I loved the s'mores supplies). It was such a peaceful place to get away from the real world for a few days. We were recommending it to friends before we'd even left! Would love to stay again!

Just wow! There’s so much charm and character in this place. It felt just like home to our family . We loved the rental so much that we made breakfast and dinner in the cozy rental each day of our stay - so relaxing. Love… love all the decor and style. Owner provided everything needed from cookware, linens, soap, iron, and etc. The owner thought of it all. It’s one of my favorite rentals ever. It is spacious for 4 people, even with 1 bath. Never did we feel on top of each other - very comfortable. We will definitely be back. We usually stay downtown but decided to try something new this trip and glad we did. Location is close to the town. Only a couple blocks away. We got lots of rest here which is not the case at most of the downtown condos with the traffic noise at night. Beds were on point - very comfy! I can’t say enough good things about this place. Thankful to the host as she accepted our rental request within 1 hour of our stay and made it happen.

This bottom floor apartment was in a gorgeous, quiet neighborhood that was close to all the West Jefferson places we like to visit. It was clean and organized. I loved the little “extra thoughtful amenities” that were available if you forgot things from home. My favorite part was sitting on the porch drinking coffee relaxing while two hummingbirds hovered for a minute.

We had a nice stay. Everything was as promised and the host was very friendly. We had everything we needed. Beautiful view in a peaceful mountain setting. Kitchen was well equipped and bed was comfortable. Large, beautiful shower.

If there were 10 stars, they'd get 11! Everything we desired in our weekend get-away was here. Jim & Kathy are exceptional hosts. They greeted us on arrival & helped assist us get settled. The apt. was beautifully & tastefully decorated w/ so many unique & interesting embellishments! They have done such a nice job making the most of each space in this apartment, from the coffee/wine space to the kitchen/laundry space, to the Bathroom, the living room, the office space & bedroom. It was so much fun wandering through each part of the apt. & enjoying the LOVE they have poured into this location. I have never stayed at an Airbnb that was as fully stocked as this one. Kathy has thought of everything, & I mean everything that you could possibly want or need away from home. Being greeted w/ fresh homemade chocolate chip cookies touched our hearts (& stomachs)! We also enjoyed the private and very comfortable front porch during the mornings with our coffee!! This is A MUST STAY!

Andi and Daniel are wonderful, thoughtful and kind-hearted hosts! The place is so peaceful and beautiful! It was spotless, cozy and they thought about everything- even a retractable gate for the pups. I highly recommend and whenever I’m in the area, it is my first choice to stay! Thanks so much again! 🌞

A friend and I stayed for a long weekend while attending MerleFest. 30-40 minutes commute to the festival, but very easy. Went to West Jefferson one morning for lunch and shopping. The cabin was just as described. Would love to go back with my husband when the Rhododendron are blooming. So peaceful and beautiful.

My girlfriend and I had a great time spending the weekend at Tucked Inn and, for the most part, everything went as smoothly as expected! We arrived late, and there was a gentleman there starting some work on the property’s hot tub. We got in touch with Donnie using his phone, and my understanding is that the repairman was meant to arrive earlier in the day. I don’t necessarily believe it was any fault of the hosts that he was around. The drive up is straightforward as long as you follow the instructions the hosts provide; the path requires 1.5-2 miles of unmapped travel, so a GPS alone won’t quite get you there. Although I would definitely recommend traveling with a higher-clearance vehicle, my compact sedan made it up just fine with some caution and patience. Overall, Tucked Inn was a great space to unplug and unwind which is something we both really needed. It’s a very cozy and low-tech-vacation space I would hope we have the chance to come back to in the future!

Exactly what my family needed to relax and recharge! The cabin was super clean at check in. It was also bigger than I expected and had plenty of space for us to spread out and relax. The views from the porch were breathtaking. Can't beat having coffee in the hot tub watching the sunrise. We enjoyed hiking, floating down the river and ended each night with s'mores around the campfire. The town was cute with lots of shops and great ice cream. Host was super responsive and gave detailed instructions prior to our visit. Quick to respond when I asked for local recommendations. Looking forward to coming back next year.

Great cabin! Very comfortable and serene. The waterfall was especially lovely to hear each day. Well stocked kitchen and overall home. Would definitely return!

5 Stars! We stayed two nights at River Rock in Deep Gap, NC. It was pouring when we arrived, but the covered porch allowed us to still sit outside and enjoy the mountain air. The hot tub was perfect, especially with the rain coming down. The cabin is just far enough from town to feel peaceful and private, but close enough for a quick trip if you need anything. A great spot to relax—we’d definitely stay again.

This place was an unexpected surprise as to how nice it was. It was perfect for four women going to Merlefest. It was 9 miles away from the festival which was not a big deal for driving back and forth. It was also a welcome get away from the crowds as it is on a mountain with a great view and is pretty remote but not remote enough to be a driving burden. It was exquistely clean. Darren was available within minutes for any questions. The deck was perfect for coffee drinking and visiting in the mornings before facing the crowds. All in all, a great place to stay. The only disadvantage is that the road is kind of rough going up and there are many ruts to avoid. I assume that the neighbors, etal , HOA or whomever will grade the road in the near future.. I know it is hard to maintain a gravel road as we have a lakehouse on a grave road... so I think it will probably be improved soon...

Beautiful long weekend away at your family’s cabin. The home is well maintained with every possible touch and amenity easily accessible. Wifi was strong, kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked and the wood included for the outdoor fire pit is a huge rental perk. The drive in and out of the neighborhood was so charming and the location to downtown west jefferson made the weekend so easy. We enjoyed the view of the river and our young son loved playing in it too! Great family rental, highly recommended.
