Family-friendly holiday rentals in Wilderness

This Villa is something to behold. It has everything you could possibly want, views so breathtaking that you can’t stop looking and although there are a lot of stairs (excellent exercise), once you get to the house it is so private and tranquil that you just want to be there.

Can’t say enough about this amazing property and host. So beautiful— we wish we had planned a longer trip! And Jenny was very friendly and helpful. Great information on the area. Highly recommended!

A cozy place with an astonishing view of the bay. Instructions were very clear and the unit was spotless! Definitely worth the price. Could do with more lightning on the balcony.

If you're looking for a place in Plett for a family holiday with young kids (ours are 9 & 6) then this is a superb house. Nice safe and peaceful complex, communal areas are clean, the pools are great, and the house has everything you need. BUT please note the 3rd outside bedroom is actually tiny. It's a double bed, right up against the wall. My parents (Granny and Granddad) also joined us and no way they could use that as a bedroom. They can't climb over each other to get out of bed! So they moved into the 2nd bedroom and our kids slept on mattresses on the floor for 10 nights. The outside room is perfect for 1 teenager/adult. The house is well equipped, and lots to do on rainy days. It definitely needs some TLC and in need of a modernization but overall a good family holiday house in Plett.

I can't wait to return. The serene farm stay was perfect for a family break from the city's hustle and bustle. There was a sprawling lawn for the kids to enjoy themselves, and the crate of bats/balls, etc., was put to good use. It is eye-opening to see what the city kids are missing. The hike to the river was amazing, and not once did the kids have a chance to even think of saying they were tired, as nature kept them guessing around every corner. Linda was amazing from the initial communication post-booking until after checkout. Genuine farm hospitality!

Cindy's place is great, with a wonderful outdoor entertainment and pool area. The kitchen was well equipped and bedrooms comfortable. Cindy was quick to reply to any queries or requests for assistance. Thanks Cindy!

We had an excellent stay in this beautiful home. Very peaceful sitting outside by the canal. The house is much bigger than what we thought it from the photos! A really great getaway!!

This is truly a hidden gem. Tucked away in beautifoul suroundings, the House is spacious, cozy and has Everything and more of what you need. We especially enjoyed the porch und spend Hours enjoying the views and nature around us. We had a lot of Plans for the area (Robberg Island is a Must!), but ended up spending much more time at the house than planned. We had a marvelous time and would advice anyone to Book this wonderful place!

5 Stars – A Slice of Paradise in Knysna! We had the most incredible stay at this beautiful home in Knysna. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed — the hosts greeted us warmly and had thoughtfully left snacks, a bottle of wine, and even a delicious cake for us to enjoy. Such a special touch that set the tone for the rest of our stay. The house itself is stunning — spotless, beautifully decorated, and perfectly equipped with everything we needed. The peaceful location made it the perfect place to unwind. We loved spending time on the patio, soaking in the scenery, and enjoying relaxed evenings by the fire. The location is ideal too — just a short drive from town, yet far enough to feel like a private retreat. This place truly felt like a home away from home, and we can’t wait to return. Very nice and cozy little place although we have missed a microwave in the kitchen. As it is winter it was quite cold because of the beautiful high roof. I will suggest a gas heater or fireplace in the living room area

What a gem of a place! Waking up to that stunning view and being just a stone’s throw from the lagoon was such a treat. It’s the perfect spot for families with young kids. The house was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped—with a cozy fireplace that made chilly nights extra special. The swimming pool and bikes were a great bonus. Tori was an absolute pleasure to deal with. We’d come back in a heartbeat.

This house was worth every penny, from the surroundings to the house itself, it met every expectation and more. The host is also extremely friendly so we were all happy about the experience. Highly recommended.

This is really a small house with all the things you need for a holiday in the mountains of Hoekwil. Walkable to the village centre. Nestled in the garden with a great sense of privacy and a view of the mountains through trees. We only spent a night on a stop-over, but I imagine it would be a great space for friends or a small family to hang out together.

Very good value for money. Safe area. Prompt responses by the hosts. Will book again and recommend for anyone.
