  • The Art of Penguin Conservation
Waddle with me (and my sidekick Sushi) into the fascinating world of Africa's only penguin species! Over the course of a fun and informative chat /drawing class you’ll discover little-known facts and amazing insights into the unique lifestyle of our endangered penguins and the conservation challenges they face all brought to life through my photos, videos and our very own penguin drawing created during our time together. (Your completed artwork at the end will form part of a global penguin conservation project.) Most importantly: by participating in this experience, you will be directly contributing to the conservation of African penguins. This can be added to your home-school schedule as a biology, conservation, and art class, or it can be a fun way to connect as a family celebrating a special event or as a corporate team working remotely. Book a Private Experience for just your group or contact me for dates and times not shown. No matter your age, the story of our African penguins will enthrall you and definitely leave you with a new appreciation for penguins being more than just cute waddlers.

  • Safari Animals with a Nature Guide
Join me on a virtual interactive South African safari experience that is great for groups and corporate team building events We will take a look at the beautiful world of some of the most amazing animals on earth by exploring footage of the great savannas, grasslands, and wetlands of Southern Africa and virtually encounter my favorite animals that we would normally encounter on an outdoor Safari. I will guide you, as if on safari, and discuss the animal's behaviors, habitats, and appearances to learn why they are so special and essential pieces to the ecosystem. With your help and some activities, we will encounter the Big 5 along with some other key animals founds in the wild. Learn how to identify the animals by sight and sound. The goal of this experience is not to be a lecture on the animals but rather a more engaging and fun virtual tour. Other things to note I won't be going out and looking for the animals but we will view footage of the animals in South Africa so we can accurately see their behaviors and appearance. This is not a lecture but rather an interactive activity to learn about the animals you will find in South Africa

  • Bo-Kaap : Walk with a local
We start the tour at 71 Wale Street where we discuss the origins of the oldest suburb in South Africa. Our walk then takes us past the Auwal Mosque, which is the oldest mosque in South Africa, which was started by enslaved people in defiance of Dutch law, in 1794 . We stop along the way and grab a koesiester, before walking down the street with all the colourful houses. This is the most-photographed street in South Africa. We then work our way towards Cape Town’s famed spice shop, Atlas, where you will smell the heady aromas of spices used in everyday Cape Malay cooking. These are the same spices used by slaves as an expression of freedom in their masters’ kitchens.

  • Remarkable Hikes up Table Mountain
Experience beauty of the nature in person - take one of the less used paths, and enjoy the magic of Table Mountain in total solitude. Hiking this formidable mountain will stay long in your memory. It's beautiful, stunning, challenging and rewarding at the same time. If you are up for an adventure and exploration, this experience is definitely for you. Along the way, you will be introduced to the most concentrated and diverse floral kingdom in the world and hopefully meet the Table Mountain wildlife, such as cute dassies, beautiful Himalayan Tahr or even small antelopes. We'll have lunch in a stunning spot with a view over the Mother City far from the crowded commonly used trails. The adventure can end at the top, where you're welcome to take Cable Car down, or we can hike down together, exploring another side of the mountain. Other things to note Transport: We'll arrange a meeting point. Decent: We can hike down, or you are welcome to take the cable car at your own expense. Languages spoken: English, Polish, Ukrainian, Russian.

  • Organic Table Mountain Hike
Join us to climb the secret trails of Table Mountain away from the crowds. We will take you on some amazing private routes, known only to locals, which are less travelled and more scenic, offering great wildlife spotting opportunities and phenomenal views. Along the way you will learn about the birds and wildlife found on the mountain and the famous fynbos belt, which makes up nearly 10% of all the entire plant species on earth. South Africa is the only country that can claim to have one of the world's six floral kingdoms completely within its borders in Cape Town. We stop regularly to soak up the beauty and enjoy freshly brewed organic coffee or tea together with local organic South African snacks and treats, all whilst enjoying superb views of the “Mother City” and the Cape Peninsula. You can choose to come down using the cable car or (and depending on time and weather), you can also hike down to complete your experience! Other things to note Bring along 1-2 liters of Water, warm Jacket (preferably a lite wind braker or quick dry), Sunhat & sunscreen. Depending on route we will arrange a meeting point from where we will start or end.
