Cottage holiday rentals in Whitstable

What a hidden gem of a place! We feel so lucky to have found Stable Oak Cottages and to have spent New Year there with our family celebrating our sons 18th. The place was gorgeous and the hot tub such a treat! The alpacas were great entertainment and the luxurious little touches from bath robes and sliders, to home baked bread and muffins were just wonderful. Highly recommend.

We’ve had the best time. The barn is very beautiful surrounded but the most beautiful garden. The place was very idyllic for a weekend escape. The location is a short drive from Dungeness. Rye and Folkestone . The pool and hot tub were added bonus. Thank you so much for a wonderful break.

Lovely accommodation within the perfect setting, would definitely recommend

Our group of 7 friends and a dog had a lovely stay at the barn. We loved the social spaces, it was great that the garden is secure so Fergus was free to roam but also contained. The outdoor dining space is great to enjoy in the good weather and the indoor spaces are cosy. Loved the extra touches of fairy lights on and log burner lit on arrival, dressing gowns and slippers and plenty of towels was great. We had a day in nearby Whitstable, walked to a local pub for lunch another day. A great base. The only thing worth noting is that to get to the single beds you need to crawl so will only work for adults than can crawl. Very likely to return.

Second time my friends and I stayed at Lily Loft. Again didn’t disappoint. Such a gem of a fine with rolling countryside views and peaceful surroundings. Both the inside and outside space is perfect for friends to get together and make memories. Thank you.

We had an amazing stay here for 5 days as a family of 5 including 2 elderly grandparents plus our dog. From the minute we walked through the gate, we were amazed by the beauty of the cottage and secluded garden, which our dog loved. The pool and hot tub were great touches and we made the most of them even though the weather wasn’t as hot as we would like. We enjoyed using the fireplace too in the evenings, which gave the cottage a comfy cosy feel. There were lovely touches, such as a welcome basket & treats left on the beds and for the dog. We would love to revisit and hope to do so in the future. Really recommend this cottage for some relaxing time away with family or friends.

Me and my friends stayed for a long weekend. The house is beautifully furnished. Every bedroom is as nice as the next. Fishing was on our itinerary, and didn’t disappoint. The lake was very much private and the boats were a worthwhile addition. I (we) couldn’t recommend higher.

Lovely stay that felt like the countryside, even though Woodchurch was just minutes away. Plenty of great restaurants nearby. The property was clean, well maintained, and we enjoyed feeding the fish at the little pond. I really appreciated the small touches—like snacks and drinks available for purchase. Thoughtful, peaceful, and convenient!

Vanessa was a superb host, very responsive, sharing many recommendations and tips upon arrival. The location was fantastic and the perfect place to stay in order to explore Deal and the surrounding area ! Thank you :)

We spent an absolutely wonderful few days in Charlie's charming cottage. It was very well appointed with lots of little touches and extras to make our stay very comfortable, we were thrilled with the food hamper and all the condiments/cereals/bits and bobs in the kitchen to make cooking stress free. Location wise, it is close to good roads/transport links yet simultaneously feels right in the middle of the countryside, we enjoyed a number of beautiful walks in the local area and it was very convenient for the nearby Champneys. I would highly recommend staying here :) Thanks for having us!

Lovely little cottage perfect for exploring kent we had everything we needed and really enjoyed out time there

A lovely cottage, we have enjoyed our stay very much. There are lots of nice touches in a good thought for the comfort of guests. Warm house in every room by the time of our arrival; milk, juice, home made jam (delicious!), bread, cereals avalible; little messages that welcome and guide through the house. There are actually 3 bathrooms. All is spotless clean and fresh. We wish to return :)

James was a great host, incredibly helpful and very quick to respond to queries. wouldn't hesitate to go back.

The cottage is stunning, surpassing even the photos. Our stay was delightful. Its prime location allows easy walking access to everything. The thoughtful welcome package was a charming touch. Beds were comfortable, and the towels were high quality. Sky Sports and movies were a great bonus. We’d happily return.

Such a great place! We stayed for the weekend and had the best time, lovely house with everything you need as well as being and nice and clean. Brilliant location too we felt we were super close to everything! Ida and James were super attentive, fab hosts as well!

We had the perfect stay in Rebecca's beautiful cottage. The cottage was immaculate and situated perfectly. Our son came on the train to join us from London as the station was a really short walk from the accommodation. The sitting room in the basement was cosy and the kitchen was well equipped. The beach is just a few minutes walk from the cottage with pubs and places to eat along the front. Couldn't recommend this beautiful little cottage enough.x

What an amazing place to stay. The accommodation was spotless and was the perfect location to get ready for our big day. We lived every second of staying at The Old Bicycle Shop. The hosts were really proactive with instructions on how to find the place and let ourselves in and the handwritten note left was so nice. What a wonderful place with all the amenities you could need for an excellent stay. Everything we needed was there when we looked for it. The bedroom was super spacious and the bed was absolutely huge and very comfortable as were the sofas in the living area. The bathroom was lovely and the shower was very good too. Overall just the perfect place to stay and we hope to come back again.

We had a wonderful stay - it is a beautiful house in beautiful surroundings! Very well equipped, especially for travelling with infants. We would absolutely go back!

Was a lovely long weekend away. lynn was very helpful in recommending places to eat and things to do. Was a really nice and cosy cottage which felt very homely. Will definitely be booking here again

Jo’s cottage is perfect in every way, so well laid out and excellent amenities. I cannot fault it. Jo has thought of everything and is a very generous host, providing treats and amongst other things, eggs juice bread and butter. Upon entering through a side gate it’s like stepping into a fairy land, a private and beautiful garden and a cottage to relax and unwind in. So well positioned to visit numerous attractions and beaches. The swing seat is a wonderful addition, on a summers day and well into the evening during and after spectacular sunsets it’s a great place to unwind and take in a a gorgeous view. ‘Badger Cam’ is a must! We saw them all the nights we were there along with a fox and this is a great way to watch them uninterrupted. I would highly recommend Jo as a host and her beautiful cottage you won’t be disappointed. We hope to return soon . Thank you Jo

We had a fabulous stay in Barbara & Mike’s gorgeous little cottage in Deal. It was exactly as described, well equipped and perfectly located right in the heart of the town. It felt very homely and had loads of charm. Deal was a lovely place to spend a long weekend.

We were four friends visiting Canterbury. The house is close to the main street with shops and restaurants. It was neat and clean. No problem with the stairs, love the fact that the house is so old! The fantastic cathedral is in sight from two of the bedrooms, as well as from the cosy outdoor private backyard where we enjoyed breakfast as well as breaks during the day. It’s right next to the river. John is a very nice host, availably for questions and helpful. I had the room on top and slept very well. I would be happy to stay at John’s place next time I’m in Canterbury!

Another perfect stay! This time we stayed with our children and Alison had everything prepared for us including stair gates and a cot. The place was immaculate, we had everything we needed and we also really appreciated the pieces for breakfast! Hope to be back again soon.

Lovely property perfectly located very close to the beach, shops, pubs & restaurants. This cottage has been refurbished to a high standard and is well equipped with quality fittings throughout. Clean & comfortable accommodation with private off road parking right outside the front door. Really enjoyed our stay and looking forward to returning soon. Thankyou.
