Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Whitsand Bay

A lovely quiet place to stay with a fantastic outdoor space and hillview. It is a short walk down to the beach, pubs and shop. Thoughtfully furnished. The hallway space was a bonus for drying wet coats and boots after walks. I found the sofas very low and the dining table quite squashed in the corner. Downstairs bed was okay. Bottom sheet fabric was very shiny and not so nice to sleep on. Bathroom was spacious and the heated towel rail a bonus. No dedicated parking but space nearby found in the road. Wi-Fi was included but not high speed, which made working from there a bit of a challenge. A beautiful village to stay in, with great access to the sea and SW coastal path.

We had the best weekend staying in Amanada’s house celebrating a birthday it was beautiful. The house is even more beautiful than in the photos & my 2 year old loved looking out to sea every morning seeing the birds. We will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you so much ☺️ one bonus for families thinking of booking that I did not see prior to our stay is the stairgate at the top of the stairs to the kitchen it was perfect with 2 young children we could shut this off.

Our first visit to Looe was made perfect by staying at Captain's Retreat. The apartment is beautifully presented and has the most spectacular views over the town and to the sea. We received a warm welcome from Martin and would not hesitate to recommend the property to anyone wanting a relaxing stay in Looe, especially with the off road parking directly in front of the entrance. Enjoyed eating at the Sardine Factory and also the traditional pasties from Sarah's Pasties in Buller St. Thanks to Jay and Martin for a great break.

The cottage is well placed for weddings at Polhawn fort which is a short walk away with amazing views along the way. It is very spacious, warm and clean and is well stocked with toiletries and everything we needed in the kitchen. The appliances in the kitchen were easy to understand and use. The delicious apple juice left in the fridge was much appreciated as was the milk, tea, coffee etc. Our grandson enjoyed running around the garden which has plenty of seating and tables. There are some good walks from the door and it would be good to go back for longer next time to explore the area. We had to drive down some narrow roads to reach the cottage but fortunately the roads weren't busy.

Treat yourself to a stay here, but I warn you, you won’t want to leave! Gorgeous space, thoughtful details like yoga mats, towels and welcome basket. An incredible view with plenty of outdoor space to relax or bbq. Walk to the beaches and restaurants. It was perfect for our family and we absolutely loved our stay. Wonderful memories made!

We had an amazing 3 night stay in this fantastic house, it easily fitted 7 adults and two small dogs. The attention to detail in decor and amenities was impressive, there was literally nothing that we thought we needed as everything was thought of and provided and more. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and greatly appreciated. The four double bedrooms (1 was a king or 2 singles) were very comfortable and quality toiletries provided in the three bathrooms. The shared areas were spacious and comfortable with plentiful seating, and all ages catered for. The hot tub and fire pit on the decking was great, and the view from the front of the house is stunning! Denise was proactive from the start and ensured our stay was a perfect 10 out of 10! We wholeheartedly recommend this lovely home from home.

Thanks for a wonderful stay in Cawsand. The house was perfect. The views outstanding plus a beautiful restaurant downstairs and 3 pubs across the villages to eat, drink and relax. Not to be outdone, the kitchen dining area was well-equipped for family meals, including the delicious local shellfish and fresh fish. Convenient to get to Plymouth - as the ferry stops just down the beach. In short, we loved it! The set up, the location and the relaxed and calm atmosphere of the village was exactly what we needed. Highly recommend - one of the very best properties we’ve ever stayed in. All the best Steve and family.

We had a wonderful stay! The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. The milk in the fridge was a lovely touch. Communication was brilliant and very welcoming. My daughter absolutely loved the pool, and what a treat to be able to book it for our use only.

Really enjoyed our stay. We felt we could have booked for an extra day as the place was perfect for our needs and looked exactly like the photos. his was a perfect find for 3 friends as we all had a room each and the hosts respected our privacy. The host greeted us when we arrived and were friendly, giving some suggestions on how the suggested taxi ride was to to town etc. Definitely would consider coming back if am ever in the the area again. We had a great stay, Colin and Lisa were lovely and even went above and beyond to provide us with a little extra treat for my fiances birthday. The apartment was clean, comfortable with really special view. Also, the local restaurants and bars are way closer than Google would have you believe, we particularly want give an extra special thanks for the ferry recommendation. We had a fantastic time and plan to return in the future. :)

My family and I have stayed at quite a few AirBnBs now around the world, and this one will always be remembered as one of the most special. It’s a beautiful and spotlessly clean apartment, with gorgeous furniture, luxurious shower room and comfortable beds, but the real beauty of spending time at Quayside is delivered by Daniel and Ross. They are such warm, welcoming and kind hosts full of helpful local knowledge… a stay here is a pleasure from start to finish! Mevagissey is a fascinating little working harbour town, and there’s so much to do in the surrounding area. We loved walking a small section of the South West coast path from Porthpean to Charlestown. Thank you Daniel and Ross… you really are wonderful people offering something very special.

Honestly the photos do not do this place justice its incredible what a view and the host could not have been better extremely helpful, always there at request, respectful, polite all round wonderful person even made us scones to bake and the the towels shaped in to love hearts was a really nice touch they made us feel welcome and right at home would recommend to anyone thank you sheila for a great experience will be visiting again

Lovely modern apartment set in beautiful peaceful and restful surroundings. Very clean with all facilities. Clear instructions for check-in and general instructions. Felt very at home. Easy to find and some manageable steps to property. Nice beach and amazing views. Within walking distance or five minute drive from Looe-which was our main interest. Would happily book again. We had a fantastic stay at Russels apartment. The location is amazing, right on the beach, so we woke to the sounds of the sea every morning. The apartment is big and spacious, bigger than it looks in the photos and the large parking space was a great bonus. The beach is shingle and the sea calm, ideal for novice paddle boarders like me. The staff at the Bay restaurant next door are really friendly and the food was lovely. We visited many of Russels recommended places for food and all were good. There are a few shops very near by and the coastal path makes a great morning walk or run. We will be back x

The flat was beautiful and very comfortable. It is in a built up area but didn’t have trouble finding a parking space. There were lots of lovely touches around the flat that really made it feel like a home from home. Will definitely book it for our next visit to Plymouth.

After a hiccup with the right set of keys/fobs to get in and out of the garage everything went smoothly and it’s a lovely apartment with comfortable beds and pillows, and great showers. Perfect location bring so close to the city centre and West Hoe/ the fun harbour are!

Had a great short break in Polperro, the apartment was exactly as described and Chris’s communication, instructions and recommendations were exemplary. Our fitness levels have certainly improved after walking backwards and forwards from the car park. Would definitely recommend and hope to be back again someday.

Sarah was incredibly communicative and greeted us at the door with a warm welcome. She kindly took the time to show us around ensuring we had evening we needed. The accommodation was remarkably spotless and clean. The bed was super comfy. Option to have 2 single sofa beds or one which was perfect. The neighbours were friendly and kind. Decor was gorgeous. I booked this accommodation on behalf of colleagues working in the area, and it turned out to be a great fit. The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Communication with the host was smooth and responsive throughout the booking and stay. Had an amazing stay. The apartment was in a beautiful historical building. The apartment itself was beautiful. The kitchen was very well appointed. Everything so clean. We were visiting family and they came over to the apartment one of the days and we had a lovely afternoon walk around Wise Park and Scott Memorial. Great location, 10 minute drive to Royal William Yard and 15 minutes to West Hoe. We will be back again.

A wonderful property which was perfect for our little family of 3 plus our dog. A superb location which was peaceful and tucked away from the daily chaos. The property was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Sitting in the hot tub taking in the beautiful view was just perfection. Thank you for a wonderful break, I would definitely return and recommend it.
