If you’re looking to replenish your soul, enjoy Mother Nature and for a kid friendly place, this cabin is for you! My large family stayed two nights and were so impressed by its views, size and generous amount of canoes/tubing/games/cookware/towels. Neat as a pin too. My fav place in the house? The peaceful covered front porch with scenic views. Loved the fire pit as well. The host, Hap, provided ample wood to burn. We would come here again in a heartbeat!

Great location for our group of cyclists riding from Pittsburgh to DC, except for that last hill up to the house. Thanks, everything was perfect inside and out, nice to have a hose to wash off our bikes from the wet C&O.

Amazing place and great host! Morgan was extremely helpful and responsive. She was flexible when we needed something and checked in throughout the stay. The house was beautiful and comfortable. Highly recommend.

This place was perfect ! Everything you could possibly need was available to us . The hot tub and the fire pits were amazing. The view was incredible. There was so much to do very close to the house! Potato chip tasting , wineries , cave tour, and a really cool parade float museum! We also truly enjoyed the space , lots of room to relax and read a book, play ball outside , fish in the river… great place , highly recommend!

Shiloh Lodge, which my friends and I have renamed, Chateau Shiloh, was everything we could have hope for and more. Sadly, it rained 3 of our 5 days but it didn’t matter. This home was so comfortable and welcoming and relaxing; we didn’t care we were rained in. There were puzzles and games and books and great streaming services to keep us occupied. However, we barely used those amenities. We spent those days cooking and talking and sitting in the rocking chairs looking out the sliding glass doors and watched and listened to the rain, watched the wild life and of course, looked out at the beautiful mountains and the river. If you need a place of peace of mind, body, and spirit renewal, Shiloh Lodge is the place. We thank you so much, Diana , for such a wonderful experience. Take care.

What a gorgeous home and property! Our family loved the home and peaceful surroundings. Everyone enjoyed the river (fishing, tubing, etc.) and surroundings. Lots of green and very private. The house and decor were lovely, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had all we needed. Thank you for an amazing family vacation!

The cottage was exactly what we wanted for our family mountain getaway. We loved the Mountain View, hot tub and surrounding scenery. WiFi worked perfectly well. It had basically everything we needed. Unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy the river because it flooded prior to the stay but that would have been icing on the cake. Would highly recommend this rental for a scenic outdoor WV getaway!

Beautifully private, overlooking the river. Listening to the many different treefrogs at night and seeing the thousands of lightning bugs was the height of relaxing evenings. The house had everything you need, plus. Super comfortable beds. Rachelle was readily available and quickly answered our questions. Was an absolute pleasure to stay for the week and would definitely return for another relaxing stay!

We loved our weekend in Mercersburg! Chip and Angela were terrific to work with. The cottage is adorable and the scenery is gorgeous! We loved the outdoor fireplace and feeding the horses. It was a wonderful weekend.

Just like the pictures, this lakeside cottage is lovely. Great setting and views. Very nicely decorated and very well equipped. Susan was an outstanding host.

We had a fabulous week at the mad men house. There were plenty of places to get some personal quiet time and the sleeping arrangements were perfect for our group. Stay here again if we return to deep Creek Lake.

River House – 5 Stars My husband and I stayed in the River House for 4 days. We totally enjoyed ourselves there. It was exactly what we were looking for, peace and quiet while gazing upon nature at its best. The house is very clean, neat and crisp with a touch of warmth everywhere. It has everything you could want for your stay, making it home-sweet-home. The house is nestled between trees and situated right on the bank of the Shenandoah’s running river. Enjoy the lush green forest across the river while drinking your morning coffee in the sunroom. You’ll see that this serene setting brings a daily refuge of birds nesting and hummingbirds feeding to the top deck. The sunroom is so cozy and inviting. It seems as if the house is on stilts sitting over the running river. The River House has two large decks, a patio and boats for your family’s enjoyment. The enclosed glass sunroom feels like you are high up on the deck with a picturesque view, but have all the comforts of be

We had a great stay. The house accommodated our 6 adults and 5 grandkids very nicely. There were board games but you should bring your own games for small kids also life jackets for them. Ping pong table and dart board inside the house was nice. We played on the golf course. Very challenging. We utilized the indoor pool at the clubhouse. The canoe was available for usage on the lake for paddling and fishing. The beach was sandy and nice. It was roped off and no fishing around it. Hiking trails were grassy and maintained. The clubhouse had a very nice workout room. There was a nice bar and restaurant at the clubhouse. The bartender was very nice. There was free miniature golf available for those who stayed there. There was a shop n save grocery store 10 min. away. A Walmart superstore was 20 min away. We would come back again.

Stepping Stone was the perfect spot for a quiet getaway! The cabin was very clean and instructions to get in were easy. The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials for cooking, and the beds were comfy! The best part is waking up and enjoying a cup of coffee by the river and ending the evening with a fire. The hot tub was clean and felt great after our hike. I would definitely come back and/recommend Angela’s place to friends and family!

I believe this is one of the best places to stay in the area! We ended up extending our stay by another week. The neighborhood is safe and peaceful, and the neighbors are welcoming. The cabin itself is very very clean, beds, towels, and every corner felt spotless. The surrounding nature is beautiful and calming, and spotting deer nearby added such a cheerful touch for us as nature lovers! Have to say the cabin is more lovely than photos! We work remotely, so we were initially concerned about the internet, but it was completely reliable throughout our stay. The cabin feels like a private, cozy retreat, super comfortable and beautifully designed. There was even a storm during our stay, and while there was a short power outage, the roads were cleared quickly and power was restored in no time! Mark’s a fantastic host, very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. His clear instructions made everything easy. We’d absolutely come back if we’re back in the area!

We stayed for a weekend at cabin and had a wonderful time. Very quiet and private setting at end of road and on top of a mountain. Felt right at home with amenities and everything you need not to cook and relax. One of our best home renting experiences.

Lovely and new, farmhouse style cabin was a sweet place for a two day getaway. Very clean with very comfortable beds and we enjoyed sitting around the fire pit at night. The property is well stocked with lots of wood that is in a protected space and kept dry. While the river was running too high for us to be able to use the kayaks and go for a paddle, we would definitely come back again and take advantage of that amenity. The back porch has a roof with a ceiling fan, so we were still able to sit out there even when it was raining. Also enjoyed being able to sit down right along the river’s edge and enjoy the scenery.

This stay was my first experience using AirBnB. Amy is a wonderful and most helpful host. The property is amazing. There are a lot of trails around the mountain to explore and the pond is beautiful. Every morning and evening, I would see at least 15 to 20 deer while walking the dog and the only sounds around, were the birds. Thank you Amy, I will definitely be back the next time I visit West Virginia.
