Hut holiday rentals in Western Europe

Stayed here for 2 nights for the bank holiday weekend. The area was beautiful, the Lodge itself was modern and very clean. It made for a perfect get away with the private Hot Tub and cosy fireplace over looking the scenic view. Lodge was very private and secure. They provided firewood and blankets for the nights we were there and hosted a small shop for immediate conveniences such as drinks and snacks. Their information booklet had detailed lists of local shops, restaurants and nearby walks which was amazing, it saved us a lot of effort in a new area trying to find things to explore. We didn't get chance to check out the farm they had with several animals but were lucky enough to have the farm house cats come visit us each morning which we loved!

Excellent location, secluded and quiet in beautiful surroundings in the Vosges. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and always available by phone. Thank you for the hospitality - we were able to unwind and enjoy nature!

Celebrated our 1 year anniversary and it was absolutely lovely, we are definitely going back! Lynden was so lovely and gave clear instructions that made finding eveything so easy, love our tour of the farm and feeding all the animals that were so friendly! The room was really nice and decorated so beautifully & really appreciated the complimentary snacks. We loved the hot tub, lighting the fire for our marshmallows, and how close the animals got to us! Was a lovely place to stay felt so at home and welcomed, would define my recommend :)

Had a lovely weekend staying in the hut with my wee dog. Tessa was great at staying in touch prior to our arrival and ensured we knew who to contact should we have needed anything. We had the gardens to ourselves in the evenings, it was so peaceful and the views from the top are breathtaking - we will definitely be back!

We loved our stay in the shepherd's hut. We wanted a peaceful escape surrounded by nature and it was exactly that. We were rained in for one day but it ended up being our favourite experience- the hut is so cosy, everything you need is to hand, and we could sit and watch the scenery for hours. On the sunnier days there is a short walk to the coast path and the views of the coastline. The toilet and shower is the perfect set up, we also loved the outside bath and the wood stove.

Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommend! We had an amazing experience staying at this Airbnb! The place was spotless, stylish, and exactly as described in the listing. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and all the amenities provided made the stay feel just like home. Our host was fantastic—very responsive, kind, and helpful with local recommendations. Check-in was smooth and hassle-free, and the location was perfect—close to everything we needed, yet quiet and peaceful at night. Overall, a truly enjoyable stay. We had the most perfect stay at Rosies Retreat with our dog. Lucy was a fantastic host, we loved how accommodating she was through airbnb and we love a key box check in, we were left to enjoy the space which is how we like it but we knew she was there in the background if we did find we needed anything. This is a perfect retreat with a well behaved reactive dog who just loves to look out at a view and has nothing around to spook them 🐾 all three of us are fully recharged and already looking forward to another visit sometime x

Perfect location, immaculately clean and peaceful. It was more beautiful than we expected and we especially loved cooking on the fire pit and use of the hot tub. Richard was on hand to answer any questions and I highly recommend walking Pen Y Fan and Dragons Back if you're into that sort of thing. The best first anniversary we could have thought of, we'd love to come back again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us x

Absolutely stunning place. I would go as far to say the best we’ve ever stayed in. Looks just like the photos and as described. Completely rural location, lots of lovely walks right on the doorstep. Cate & Ian were super welcoming, friendly & helpful whenever we required something. Will definitely be returning.

Fiona and Nigel created a beautiful space to stay for anyone who wants a peaceful getaway! I proposed to my now fiancé here and Fiona helped to give this place a romantic setup while we were out for food. She did a brilliant job! Thank you for having us, we will definitely be back again!

We had such a wonderful stay in ‘The Nook at Newalls’. It was private and peaceful and had everything we needed. We had some stormy weather during one of the evenings, but we were cosy and warm in the hut with the log burner lit! Taxi into Kendal cost £9 where we had a gorgeous Sunday dinner at ‘Ye Olde Fleece Inn’. Windermere was a 20 minute drive where we did a great short walk up to Orrest Head for the most incredible views. The hut is a great base for exploring the Lake District - highly recommend!

We had a lovely, peaceful stay at Little Oaks. The hut is cosy and had everything we needed for our night away.

I had the most idyllic stay at Little Bear! I can't wait to get back and continue the Cornish adventures soon!😍 Thanks to Kate and her family for such a wonderful little escape!

Amazing from start to finish! Great communication, easy directions, smooth self check in and a lovely rural peaceful location! We all felt very welcome. The Shepherd’s Hut was spotless and very well prepared for us with a thoughtful little welcome gifts. We really appreciated the attention to every single detail! The guide book with local tips was very useful. Now I regret not booking more nights as this was only a little stop on our way down to south Cornwall, but we’ll definitely be back! Our stay at this shepherd’s hut was absolutely perfect. Immaculately clean and filled with thoughtful touches like teas, coffees, and a complimentary bottle of Prosecco, it had everything we needed — blending rustic charm with modern comforts. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we slept so well in the peaceful, private setting. The highlight was the incredible wood-fired hot tub — we spent hours soaking while watching breathtaking sunsets and stargazing in total tranquility. The outdoor space was equally well-equipped, with a BBQ, plenty of firewood, kindling, and unbeatable views. The location was a true slice of paradise — secluded, serene, and only a short drive from Cardigan and Tenby, though we always looked forward to returning to the hut. Our host, Anthony, was wonderfully responsive, helpful, and kind before, during, and after our stay. This was one of our favourite getaways ever — we’ll definitely be back!

I needed a few nights on my own to decompress from a difficult few weeks and this was the absolute perfect place. I felt completely safe as a lone female. Glyn and Harriet were friendly but not obtrusive. Hut was exactly as photos. Beach is beautiful and I enjoyed my 48 hours immensely. I suspect I will be back!

The accommodation is situated in a beautiful garden surrounded by amazing views and greenery, and is in a great location for nearby walks and is a very cosy place to stay!

We had a really lovely time in the cabin with our two dogs for our mini-moon! The space had everything you could need and was fully equipped with high quality amenities and furnishings. A lot of attention to detail has clearly gone into it and there was plenty of room for the 4 of us. The surroundings were really pretty and there are plenty of lush farm shops and restaurants nearby. My favourite villages Broadway and Bourton on the water were only a short drive away so the location was perfect for us! I would also like to say a huge thanks to Tom and Kate for bringing me an inhaler when my hayfever was really bad - that was so appreciated. The addition of an iron would be really handy and another mirror in order to plug in electricals outside of the bathroom.

Amazing views! Such a beautiful place, it’s a funny experience to travel by golf buggy up to the sheltered huts. The huts are perfect with everything you need to have an amazing time. Host was very quick to answer any questions, the restaurant at the bottom of the hill is also very nice.

Our stay was absolutely perfect. The accommodation had everything we needed it was clean, well-equipped, and incredibly comfortable. The hot tub was a real highlight, especially in the evening. The setting is stunning – surrounded by nature and incredibly peaceful. What truly stood out, though, was the kindness of the hosts. When we got a flat tyre, Adam kindly took me to the local garage and helped arrange a replacement for the next morning. The glowing reviews are absolutely justified as this place is exceptional in every way. We couldn’t recommend it more and we will definitely return!

We had an amazing stay at Peacock hut in Diggle with absolutely stunning views. The hut was everything we could have wished for. It’s very well equipped, has a super comfy bed & a nice hot shower. Lovely walks nearby & would definitely recommend a trip to Diggle Lock cafe. Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this place if you’re after a nice relaxed break. We’ll be back again & hopefully this time it won’t be raining & we can make use of the bbq & fire pit.

Shepherds hut was probably our favourite Air bnb so far! Being greeted by Jane was a lovely start to our holiday, she made us feel right at home. The hut itself is perfectly decorated, cosy and clean. Every detail was so carefully considered and Jane had even moved some sheep into the overlooking field for us which made our stay feel magical. We loved the hot tub and views - we watched the sunset one night and sat in the rain listening to the birds on the other, which really felt like a spa experience! This was our first holiday with our puppy, he loved the sheep and they even came to say hello! We had everything we needed to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible (playing cards, dog treats, tasty Welsh cakes). We 100% want to return, our only regret was not booking an extra night - there’s plenty to explore on the farm and nearby. Our puppy refused to get in the car when he realised we were packed up to go home! Thank you Jane for doing such a great job ❤️🌲

Had the most amazing weekend at the Shephard’s Hut. Helen and James were so helpful and accommodating throughout our stay and the hut was just perfect. An amazing location, easy to get to and so peaceful. Cannot recommend it enough!!
