Kid-friendly holiday rentals in West Suffolk District

The property definitely ticked all the boxes for us. We were staying for a wedding in the village. Having the pub across the road was a bonus as we didn’t really want to cater for ourselves other than breakfast and the church was only 200m away. The beds were all very comfortable and the en-suite bathrooms most convenient. Two had good showers and the third a bath with a bath/shower mixer tap. We didn’t need the fourth bedroom but had we done, although it didn’t have an en-suite bathroom, it did have exclusive night time use of a cloakroom next door to it. It was positioned away from all the other bedrooms so it was as good as being en-suite for night time use and of course there were still three bathrooms to use for showering or bathing, so not really a game changer if four beds were needed.

We had a wonderful stay at this b'n'b. Debbie added those small extra touches that many people don't bother with and yet are so helpful! The space was well-equipped with everything you need. The gift of very nice cookies and fruit juice was much appreciated. Even milk in the fridge. It was clean and the decor carefully thought about. We loved the enclosed cottage garden solely for our use. The annexe and tge garden were lovely peaceful places to sit and be. We highly recommend it.

me and my sister stayed here to celebrate my sisters birthday and Chloes cottage was absolutely the perfect choice, the whole place was stunning and was in such an ideal little village. the place was spotless and had everything we might have needed to enjoy our stay. Would highly recomend visiting Ickworth estate too which is only a 20 minute drive away!

We booked this place at very short notice because a family member had been taken into hospital near by. It was very clean, comfortable and well-equipped which helped a lot in a stressful situation. The hosts live next door and were friendly and responsive without being intrusive.

We had a wonderful weekend at the old steam mill. Photos don’t do it justice - it’s even more spacious and beautiful in real life! Very comfortable and quiet, the hosts Mark and Celina accommodated us at very short notice and were lovely and responsive when needed. The garden was perfect to enjoy a drink and meals in the warm summer evenings and our dog loved exploring. It was everything we hoped for a countryside getaway not too far from London.

Jo’s place was as exactly as we chose. A very private place full of tranquility both inside and outside . The natural garden was a joy to just sit and enjoy the wild life and alfresco dining. We were blessed with good weather which made sitting and eating outside mist enjoyable. The garden was a haven for our two dogs to explore safely.

Met expectations. The bed was very comfortable but in a hot summer a light blanket maybe required! To raise it to 5* I would recommend a 'welcome pack' that had some teabags; Nescafe sachets, local biscuits or some homemade shortbread (max 4 pieces) and possibly a couple of small jars of jam and marmalade (number according to booking, 2 jam and 2 marmalade for 2 people and 4 for 4 people ( even if children )

We absolutely loved our stay at this cozy English cottage! From the moment we arrived, Sarah made us feel so welcome. She truly went above and beyond—every little extra she left in the home made our stay feel special and thoughtful. The cottage itself was spotless and beautifully maintained, filled with authentic British charm that made it peaceful and relaxing throughout our stay. It had everything we needed and more—every amenity was thoughtfully provided. The location couldn’t have been more perfect: just a short walk to the main area of town and right across the street from the railroad station, which made getting around so convenient. This was the perfect countryside escape, and we’re so grateful for Sarah’s hospitality. We can’t wait to return!

For someone who had to go to university daily and also wanted a beer by the river with colleagues in the evening and go to London on weekend this place is perfect as it’s 20 mins to uni and 20mins to train station. The place has very rational space, good kitchen and spacious living room and bedroom, ready to be lived in for the two weeks I stayed! Definitely would stay again!

Très bel appartement et très bon emplacement

Lovely flat. Spotlessly clean, walking distance to the town centre and has parking! Cindy left clear instructions for everything and even had folders of local things to do and takeaway menus. Would highly recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay in Woodditton. The house was beautiful spacious, quiet, and equipped with modern amenities, all set within lovely private grounds. We enjoyed walks along the nearby bridle path and ended each day with a delicious dinner at the local pub. It was a fantastic stay!

Very friendly, greeted us when we arrived and made us feel very welcome. Lovely pub just a few yards away too. Would definitely go back. The sun was shinning and we sat outside in the beautiful garden.

One of the best bnb’s I have ever stayed at complete with breakfast provided. It was a real home away from home staying here. Do peacefull and relaxing and the rear garden and waterfall just topped off a very quiet, peaceful stay. Slept like a baby. And the hosts were delightful people.

Our first Airbnb experience, and we were very impressed. We had a gig nearby, and our usual hotel choice was full. Rather than opt for a room in a pub, we decide to give Airbnb a go. The booking experience was excellent and very easy; communication was timely and gave clear guidance; check in was super easy, with parking extremely close. Once inside, the flat was spacious, spotless and perfectly equipped. We only stayed for one night, but you'd be happy here for weeks!

We had a wonderful stay, it was peaceful and relaxing. The property was clean and welcoming, with useful information at hand. It had everything we needed and was just right for visiting family in the area. It was great that we were able to take our small dog with us and had some lovely walks in the area.

A perfect place to stay in Bury St Edmunds. So handy to walk around the town and see the shops and the Abbey. The interior has a great theme with its colours and fittings. Super comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. Sean even provided for our parking needs.

I've stayed at Orchard Apartment before during a work trip and it was great to be back. The place is peaceful with fantastic views over the fields - a lovely spot to unwind after a busy day. I met Rob this time who is friendly and welcoming. I would happily stay again. :-)

Great place in prime location on the seafront . Place was bigger than expected and had everything you could need and more for a week’s stay . Really clean and tidy . Plenty of treats left for us and the dogs . Overall really happy with apartment and location . Will definitely stay again .

I had a very comfortable stay here, with everything I needed. Ann and John were very welcoming and friendly and made me feel at home. It is ideally placed for getting to both Cambridge and lovely countryside. I would definitely recommend staying here.
