Cottage holiday rentals in West Dunbartonshire Council

My friend and I chose this cottage for a quiet getaway with our dogs and it was just what we hoped it would be. We were welcomed by Barbara and Graeme upon arrival and they were very kind and helpful if we had any queries at all. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. The views from the bedrooms were stunning and there were plenty walks nearby the property, which were especially lovely in the evening with the sunsets. It was the perfect scenic escape we needed. Thank you Barbara and Graeme (and Rosie the golden retriever of course!).

The Calving Shed is a retreat away from all the chaos, we spent a few days just relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet. The cottage has everything you need for a self catering stay, there are shops about 5 minutes drive away and a Tesco about 10 minutes away. The hot tub is lovely to relax in as well. The host is there if you need them, thank you for our lovely welcome gift.

A great getaway with loads to do close by for whatever mood you're in - great towns and cities like Calendar and Stirling less than half an hour away, equally beautiful countryside and multiple waterfalls, lochs and walks to choose from on the doorstep. Our toddler loved the on site swimming pool and the grown ups enjoyed the peaceful views from the hot tub too! Rosie was so friendly and accommodating.

This was our 2nd stay at March Cottage. The addition of the log burner in the front room and bedroom is great. We will definitely return for a 3rd visit.

We had a fabulous time at this lodge. Nice and clean, spacious, had everything we needed, beautiful views. Great having the oak tree inn across the road. We didn’t use the hot tub much but it was just nice to know it was there. We would most definitely come back.

Lovely location and David was very responsive. We had a wee problem with the hot tub and David came out to rectify it early morning when the weather was at its worst. Great hosts and take pride in their accommodation and facilities. A great break in homely accommodation with the hot tub as a lovely addition. The weather didn’t spoil our stay and enjoyed the peace and quiet of this great location.

Had a fantastic get away with friends here. Kids loved it and would recommend to others to stay

Rachel’s Farm ‘The Cottage’ was exactly as advertised. Perfect for the wife and I to have a last minute romantic weekend away. Booking was so easy, the property was very homely and welcoming and we immediately felt the worries of the world disappearing as we relaxed into the hot-tub listening to the wildlife. Also after a day of exploring the area to be able to slip into that awesome rolltop bath. I’m one of the larger built gentleman, and to have a bath that I can lay in and fit was sublime. You almost had to charge me for the cost of that bath as I was tempted to bring it home with me. 👍and then to climb into that bed. I haven’t slept that well for months..! Honestly, if you are considering staying here, I would 100% recommend it. You will not be disappointed.

Lovely cosy home from home, with everything you need for a very comfortable week stay. Great location for visiting many beautiful areas, and easy to get the train into the city. We will stay here again, highly recommend it!

Excellent accommodation, extremely well appointed and Marcin was very communicative and helpful. We took our two dogs and encountered no issues.

we had a lovely relaxing time the hot tub was great the views was fantastic the bath in the bedroom was really relaxing looking out at the fab views,nice welcome pack of goodies plus treats and bowels for our dog

Booked this last minute for my friends birthday and we are so glad we did!. Place was spotless and the host is so friendly she made us feel at home☺️ will definitely be back this is my second time here . Love it

A wonderful location and accommodation was spotless. It had everything you could need for a short or long stay. Hot tub was private and very relaxing. Hope to stay again and would highly recommend.

Honestly an amazing cottage. Will definitely be coming back. My 6 year old loved it so much. He asked if it could be his forever home. It was clean and spacious and just beautiful. We felt at home instantly and very relaxed. Such an amazing location. Thanks for having us

Great starting point to visit loch lomond and the trossachs

Great house for a family get together and base for adventures around Loch Lomond. We truly enjoyed!

This cosy cottage is in a beautiful setting very close to Loch Lomond. The cottage is well equipped with plenty of towels and blankets (although it’s actually a very warm space). We really enjoyed our stay here.

Ben Lomond cottage is a lovely, out of the way, place. It's really spacious and well presented. The location is nice, as it's close enough to Balloch for shopping and essentials, but also away from the town, to have a connection to the beautiful surroundings. The cottage has both central heating and a log burner, so it can be warm either way. Linda responded to all my questions and provided all the info I needed. So I'd definitely recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a getaway in the beautiful Loch Lomond area.

Absolutely stunning like cottage in beautiful surroundings, it was so peaceful and the little burn running underneath was magical. Fiona and her husband were great hosts very friendly and extremely accommodating, we were there for our sons wedding and she didn’t mind at all that my son and the groomsmen along with make up artist and hairdresser all were there the morning of the wedding. Perfect stay and a perfect weekend and will absolutely book to stay here again in the future Thank you so much fiona

Thomas was a great host and very responsive and friendly. The place was perfect for our needs: easily accessible by public transport, comfortably spacious, and quite cosy as well! Will hope to stay here again next time I am looking for accommodation for another weekend enjoying Loch Lomond!

Incredibly kind hosts and super responsive. The cottage is ideally located for walks around Lock Lomond and climbing bens. The outdoor space is ideal for families with children. We very much enjoyed our holiday and can’t wait to go back.
