Kid-friendly holiday rentals in West Cliff

5* Accommodation was spotless. Smelt clean and fresh as soon as you walked in the door. Lovely welcome pack included all the essentials. Lots of attention to detail and little extra touches which made the property feel like home. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you needed and more. Located just outside of Whitby but easy to travel in and around the area. Views from the front window were amazing Would highly recommend and would definitely book again.

A perfect spot for a family gathering ! Easy to find and just a short walk into the centre of town. We loved the space, immaculate well presented rooms, cosy warm around the Aga and comfortable shared spaces. Plenty of parking and great for our dog, and a communicative and helpful host. Couldn’t fault it, would definitely recommend!

Any less than 5* or a-maz-ing would be doing Jane and Crabapple Cottage a disservice. The neighbours were fabulous too. We had everything we could possibly want in the cottage and looong garden, and more, including the trampoline 😄 Jane was super responsive to questions I raised even when she was out with a friend and immediately set to finding a solution to our mini problem. Settees and bed were very comfortable and our dog was immediately relaxed in the property which was also really important to us. So many places to visit nearby and lots to do, we could have spent way more time there.

Great property and location for a nice quiet stay by the coast. Very close to lots of tourist locations. Very spacious property with a fantastic garden which is ideal if you have a dog.

1A is a credit to both Ian & Sarra. The property is perfect for 4 adults with each bedroom having it's own bathroom with another WC for emergencies downstairs! The presentation of the property is 1st class with you wanting for nothing. Ian & Sarra really have thought about everything. As an EV driver the ability to charge on site at anytime, at a very reasonable rate, was a bonus. The location was perfect for us, just a 10min stroll to the harbour providing your happy to tackle the Khyber Pass!.. a lot easier than the one in Pakistan!! We have no hesitation in recommending this property and it's location to anyone who wants a relaxing enjoyable stay in Whitby.

We had such a lovely stay. The accommodation is like a home from home, it’s really cosy with a lovely design and little touches. The photos of the garden on the listing don’t do it justice. It’s a large garden area which is fully secure, meaning we didn’t have to worry about our dogs escaping. We were welcomed with some fresh bread and shortbread and there were balls and bowls for the dogs. The location is great for exploring Whitby, Robins hood bay etc. We got some meat from the local butchers and it was delicious! Would recommend going there too. We would love to stay here again! We didn’t want to leave.

We had a fantastic, albeit short, stay. It was immaculate with really comfortable sofas and beds. The garden was lovely to relax in too. We didn’t use the kitchen other than to make drinks, but it appeared to be well stocked with crockery and cooking equipment. The property is a 15 minute easy walk down into the town, but if you’re full with fish and chips a taxi back was just £5. There is parking for one car on the drive and on street parking for any additional vehicles. Communication was excellent; I had a few queries and Ruth was very responsive. You won’t be disappointed if you book this Airbnb.

Great place to stay in the centre of Whitby

Stayed for 3 nights and it was amazing! House was so homely and super close to the centre of whitby. Thank you so much we will definitely be back again!

Second time I've stayed here. A beautiful cosy flat in an amazing location. Amazing view of the abbey from the front step! Pippa is a brilliant host.

We had a great stay, it was everything we wanted for the weekend. Comfortable, clean and cosy. There's a little local shop nearby, garden centre. We walked into Whitby which took about an hour ish, nice walk. The first part is on main roads. We would definitely look at staying again.

Lovely accommodation, only a five minute walk from town centre. Co-op only stones through away around corner. Everything catered for in all rooms. Minimalistic so easy to keep tidy and gather belongings at end. Beds veeeerrrrryy comfy. Host v. Communicative and on the ball with info, including a v. Useful app so everything you need to know is in one place. Also basement allocated parking a bonus. Only thing needed now would be a seagull silencer for bedtime... 🤣

Amazing location and it is even larger than expected! The pictures do not actually do it justice. As others have said, there is a separate sitting room with a TV in it that connects to all major streaming networks easily and quickly. the Wi-Fi in the flat was not perfect but it was appropriate for the location. Besides, most people do not go to a beautiful place like Whitby and work like I did. There was public Wi-Fi available for free around the entire town of Whitby that was much faster. I ended up connecting to that as well. Fantastic communication and check in instructions! All in all, The Lookout completely exceeded my expectations - I will be back!

Great flat in a good location, everything very closeby. Parking permit very useful as it can get very busy. Definitely stay again, lovely place with everything you need, comfortable and quiet.

Wonderful apartment - very clean and in walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Only a few mins walk to shops and 5 mins walk to the waterfront. Lovely decor and amenities. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Whitby.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay , Ray very welcoming and helpful then left you alone to enjoy your stay , everything you needed and safe enclosure for my dog , very good butchers in the village lovely walking and Cod and Lobster in Staithes highly recommend , all in all very enjoyable very quiet , private and peaceful would definitely revisit and recommend

Whitby 14 at The Landings is a great place to stay for a break in Whitby. Good quiet location with own parking space for one car and within 10 minutes walking to the swing bridge area. Accommodation was as expected with good size rooms and all facilities as described. Kitchen had all the expected appliances, but a pity we could not use the dishwasher as no dishwasher tablets had been left. Bottle of wine left for our arrival was nice touch, but it would have been nicer to have been lift a small milk and perhaps a small loaf to get us started. There is a small Morrisons or a larger Sainsburys within a 5 minute drive away. Would definately recommend this accommodation and the location. Found it very annoying that the kitchen door opened outwards into the hall, blocking the passageway and generally getting in the way. Poor flat design no fault of the owners ! Communal areas of the building were clean, but a bit smelly particularly around the entrance door and by the enclosed store.

We loved our stay … the apartment was comfortable, light & airy with a pretty view out to the garden and the walls of York. Very easy walking distance to everything you would want to see & do in York. Great local restaurants. Could not recommend this apartment enough!!

Fabulous place to stay. Calm, peaceful and a beautiful view of the sea. I stayed with my husband and two children and we loved it. Lovely walk to pub down the road and only a short drive to Scarborough, Robin hoods bay and Whitby. Would definitely like to visit again!

We spent 2 nights at the apartment. Everything was as described. The location is fantastic within a beautiful holiday village and only 5 mins walk to the amazing never ending sandy beach which is absolutely perfect for your four legged friend. Filey is only 5 mins drive with lovely shops and restaurants and bustling Scarborough only a 15 mins drive. Will definitely be back!

Gorgeous flat right by the beach, plenty of trays/cutlery etc in the kitchen and huge towels provided. Host was very friendly and helpful. Completely stress-free stay.
