Beachfront holiday rentals in West Bay

We've just had a wonderful stay at the bungalow, which is set in a beautiful, quiet location with a private garden behind the owners house. The bungalow is well equipped with everything you need and Louise and Ian are excellent, responsive hosts (thanks for the scones). Beer and Seaton are both within easy walking distance, about 15 mins, on the coastal path. We did a great walk from the door passing through Beer to Branscombe, which has a fantastic pub called the Mason's Arms, and a working mill and a forge. All worth a visit. We then walked back along the cliff which offers some amazing views. The walk was about 10 miles in total with some steps and steep climbs, so you will need to be reasonably fit. We also visited Lyme Regis and Charmouth which is a brilliant location for fossil hunting. It really is a beautiful area which is well worth a visit.

We had a wonderful time at the harbour hideaway. The property is so cute with lovely nautical furnishings. It is a real gem and amazing to be so close to the harbour and we loved watching the bridge go up and the boats pass. The pull down bed was one of the comfiest sleeps ive ever had! We felt very welcome and the dogs especially as there were so many thoughtful touches for them! The permit parking was extremely helpful and we really appreciated Cates local knowledge and proactive advice on a local event which meant we needed to move our car on our last night but it was no panic thanks to Cate letting us know in advance. Thank you, we hope to come again some day and will tell friends and family

We had a wonderful week staying at The Courtyard, beautifully furnished and extremely well equipped. Very comfortable upstairs lounge with two balconies to make the most of the views. Plus a lovely courtyard filled with gorgeous greenery making it feel very tropical (and lots inside too). The bed is probably the most comfortable we have slept in! Stoke Fleming is a lovely village with access to the SW coastal path in both directions – the walk to Dartmouth is a must (and get the bus back!) Lots of places to visit in the surrounding area too. Jill’s communication is excellent and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the Courtyard 😊we most certainly hope to return!

I have just enjoyed a four night stay at Grey Joy. A beautifully presented and perfectly located cosy house. It has everything you need including a lovely outside space. Grey Joy is a few foot steps from Chesil beach and next door to The Cove pub. I could not have been happier with this little Air B&B

Booked this Airbnb for a colleagues working in the area, and it was absolutely perfect for our needs. The location was excellent—convenient, close to everything we needed. Communication with the host was smooth and responsive throughout the entire process, and check-in was incredibly easy and hassle-free. I would definitely recommend this place to others and wouldn’t hesitate to book again in the future.

This is such a beautiful beach but, fabulously located, Rachel is responsive, helpful and friendly. A peace of paradise!

Immaculate place in a perfect location. The holiday park was very quiet and spotless, with great access to the coastal footpath. We explored so much of the Jurassic Coast & it was great to come back to our base. We found lots of great pubs close by and several different walking routes into Lulworth Cove. A super place to stay - we would highly recommend!

This accommodation was perfect for our weekend visit. Delightful little place which had all the essentials for our stay. Very comfortable beds, cosy living room and a small courtyard space to enjoy the sunshine in private. The property is right in the centre of town so was walking distance from everywhere we wanted to be. Would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Devon!

We stayed for 3 nights. The holiday house was spacious enough to fit family of 4. Plenty of room to play for little ones. Very clean and well organised. The only improvement I could suggest would be to install slim dishwasher but it was perfect anyway. I would recommend and come back.

The lodge was very clean and had everything we needed. The location is great for exploring the whole area. Helen was flexible with arrival and check in which made the holiday less stressful with small kids! Brixham is a lovely town to stay. The site would benefit from the new clubhouse pool & bar which was opening imminently, which we missed.

The host, Julie, was really helpful and responsive to our messages. Beautiful surroundings and the views from the chalet were incredible. We were visiting old friends and neighbours and it was an excellent base. The walk down into Shaldon along the golf course was convenient and stunning but be prepared for the walk back up!! The chalet had everything we needed and was really nicely decorated with comfy sofas and beds. Wish we were there longer and would love to go back.

Fantastic, clean and well-equipped caravan in a beautiful setting on a fantastic site. Hayley couldn’t have been more friendly, welcoming and responsive. Ladram Bay offers so much for a young family and our children loved the site, proximity to activities and the beach. Thank you Hayley and family for sharing your holiday home. We will definitely visit again!

Really friendly host, she was quick to reply to any questions. Caravan was lovely, with lovely views of the sea. Bit of a busy resort, but the kids loved it. Would stay again.

location was absolutely perfect for a relax and a decent walk everyday, we paddle boarded up the coast both ways and the scenery was stunning and finished most days with a swim in the pool. if you're after a close too everything place too stay this isn't the place for you but if you're looking for a break away from the world then this will tick all your boxes 🤗

Wonderful - with a beautiful sea view that made it very special. Modern, clean and nicely decorated/equipped. We stayed as four women friends and it was perfect. The only thing I would say is that if you don’t know each other well or are physically large, the space is relatively small with only the one bathroom - which is clear from the listing - but worth bearing in mind.

We had a lovely stay at Anthony’s caravan. The location was ideal for visiting towns and sights in the local area. The site was also nice and quiet but had amenities if you needed them. Thanks for having us.

A lovely couple of nights here. It’s a really beautiful apartment, lovely decor and very clean. We we able to walk to the beach, the town and the ferry port where we got the boat over to Brownsea Island. There’s also a corner shop and Tesco express 5 min walk away!

The apartment was very comfortable, clean and well resourced. Ideally located for exploring surrounding towns and beaches. The food hamper was a welcome treat! I would highly recommend staying here.

Andrew’s flat had large spacious rooms with very high ceilings, grand chandeliers and very large comfortable sofas. It was possible to get to the beach directly through the garden and across the prom, which was a big plus. Had the weather been warmer, I could have swum every day! Andrew had written information about Weymouth which was interesting, and a long list of good places to eat, which had obviously been personally tested! We enjoyed walking along the promenade in both directions and although we had a car, we found plenty to see within walking distance. The flat was in a lovely position and well worth a visit.

Karens place is beautifully decorated there is nothing gone to chance this place is exceptionally well presented, its absolutely beautiful and great value for money, I stayed there whilst I was working away so was a bit gutted I couldn't enjoy it longer! this is a must if in the area, it has everything a couple or family could wish for, I'd love to return with my family!

The apartment is in a stunning location with amazing views from the main room. Angela was a lovely host and very quick to respond to messages. The apartment is well equipped and cosy, with everything needed for a nice relaxing break. Plenty to see and do within walking distance including some great places to eat. We had a fabulous break and really didn't want to leave. This place is a little gem and we can't wait to return. Thank you Angela.

What an amazing place for a solo bank holiday weekend to reset and recharge! Terry’s apartment was perfectly located and had everything I needed. Train station close by and right next to the beach for those early morning dips and lots of amazing hikes and running routes nearby. I recommend The Smugglers Inn for a lovely Sunday Roast, and it’s right on the coastal path which is a stunning hike. There’s a lovely cafe and local convenience store for essentials right on the doorstep of the apartment - and the balcony is a prime spot for a coffee, taking in the waves and watching the world go by. Being able to hear the waves through the windows in the apartment was pretty special! A great stay and a super friendly and communicative host. Thank you Terry!

5☆ we had a great 4 day break, Julie & Chris are excellent hosts & the apartment exceeded all our expectations & is in fact much bigger than it appears in the pics. The apartment has everything you need, is super clean & the view is amazing. Everything in the apartment is top quality, from the bed linen & towels to the shower gels provided. Can't wait to come back. Thank you Julie & Chris for being so accommodating & welcoming.
