Holiday rentals with a kayak in Washington County

We enjoyed our stay at Ashleys's home. It is a beautiful, peaceful and lovely location, with great proximity to Acadia National Park, Winter Harbor and the Schoodic Institute. Our family enjoyed watching the lobster boats in the morning and noodling around the peninsula. It was a very comfortable space, with a well stocked kitchen and dining area.

Me and my family had a great weekend and made memories we will have forever! The place was beautiful 10/10 recommend & we definitely will be back!!

Great place on the Maine coast. Large well kept house in a quiet Downeast Maine coastal town. Loved the screen porch, deck and fire pits.

We had a wonderful stay at Jesstine’s cabin! This is our second summer staying here with our two kids and two dogs. The location is incredible and the cabin has everything you need. We hope to come back for many summers!

We loved our stay here! Being welcomed with cupcakes and everything needed for smores was such a nice surprise! The house has everything we needed and more, down to a printer since some things in Acadia require printed passes! The kayaks were so much fun and our family had a blast on the water. We weren't sure where to launch and how to safely navigate the tides, the host was extremely quick to respond and helpful!! Best washer and dryer of any air BnB we have stayed at!! The game room was a huge hit, as were all the outdoor games!! Our 6 kids had a blast and we would highly recommend this house to others!!!

Tina was a great host. Very responsive to questions. The cabin was beautiful and perfect for our group. We had a great time! I would definitely look to book with Tina again.

Absolutely the perfect spot for a get away. We really enjoyed the woodlands, the lake, the wildlife. The lodge had fun things to do and little surprises that kept us entertained. 10/10. Would stay here again for sure! Don’t hesitate to book this location, great people!

What a treat this place was - a true escape and chance to unplug from it all amd reconnect with the people that mean the most. Rain or shine we were surrounded by comfort, peace and beauty. James was responsive, helpful, and kind. We brought a bunch of our own cooking supplies as we planned on eating most of our meals in house. We needn't have, the kitchen was very well stocked with all kinds of things for cooking and baking. They even set us up with a welcome basket of s'mores supplies. Neat touch. It was a great experience and we'd love to visit again sometime. Cheers!

We were looking somewhere particularly animal friendly where we could have our pup off leash with plenty of space to roam but also not crowded. This getaway was perfectly suited to our needs. Seeing the deer and even a fox roaming the property was a peaceful experience. The cottage was cozy with many personal touches and had everything we needed. The hosts were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We could easily get to everywhere we wanted to go. We have no complaints and would highly recommend this getaway. This area is just far enough away from the crowds of Acadia and Bar Harbor but easy access, safe and pleasant. It is also absolutely beautiful.

My mother and I loved our stay at Tugwassa. When we weren’t exploring the nearby area, we spent our time looking out at the pond, enjoying the fire, and reading Mrs. Osborne’s poems! The cottage is beautifully decorated with a well-equipped kitchen. I loved taking the time to appreciate all the artwork and ornaments. Anne is very welcoming and hospitable - she has many great local recommendations and is nearby if you need any help. I’m looking forward to coming back again!

We loved our stay at the cottage! We are native Mainers and the Steuben/Milbridge area is one of our go-to locations for relaxation. The cottage was private, peaceful, and the views were amazing! Being right on the water was a nice perk and we spent some time on the rocks when the tide was out. The cottage has wonderfully comfortable furniture and one of the most comfortable beds we have slept on! It is also one of the cleanest cottages we have stayed in as well. It felt very much like home! Teresa was in contact throughout our stay to make sure everything was going smoothly. It was great to know she was there to answer any questions we may have had. We will definitely stay again!!!

Absolutely loved my stay here! If you’re looking for somewhere very rural, quiet and secluded, this is a perfect place. It’s fit for one or two people, it was so incredibly cute and whimsical, definitely the best place I’ve ever stayed!

This cabin is very nice and comfortable. The dock and view are so nice. Beautiful area.

Everything was wonderful! The house is comfortable and clean. The kitchen had everything I could want for cooking. I appreciated all the extra touches—like nice binoculars and a phone charging pad. The hosts are helpful, kind and welcoming. The view is stunning. There are a few houses on the road but you can’t see them from the cottage, just the magnificent cove. It’s so quiet I heard birds’ wings as they flew overhead. I saw pileated woodpeckers, northern flickers, greater yellowlegs, and many more. A doe came through the yard and an otter swam by. In the guestbook, some guests mentioned seeing seals. But the most awe-inspiring sight is the night sky. With no light pollution, the stars look endless. If you’re lucky, this is a great place to see the aurora borealis. It’s not visible in Maine often, but the deck has a North/Northeast view which is ideal. It didn’t appear while I was there but Jing-Huey sent me a beautiful photo from a few weeks before. Highly recommended!

This is our 2nd time to stay at this lovely oceanfront home! The location is beautiful and peaceful. The home is clean, well equipped and comfortable. We hope to return for a 3rd stay in the future!

This was a beautiful peaceful setting in a great location to access Acadia National Park. The cabin was very comfortable with everything we needed. Shasta was a terrific host and communicated in an extremely timely manner when we had questions. The swing out on the lake and the second floor outdoor deck were great to enjoy after getting back from a long day. The lake itself was pristine and had a gorgeous fall foliage backdrop. If nature is your thing, but with modern amenities, this is your place to stay.

Loved our stay at the cabin! The home was stocked with everything you need in the kitchen, has the most beautiful scenery to wake up to (we also were able to see the Northern Lights at night!) and while the bathroom is small, it was carefully thought through and functional. It is a bit of a drive to Acadia National Park and dining options, but we didn’t mind it with the lovely fall scenery along the way. The host was very responsive and friendly, we would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed a great week at Taylor Camp. The location was secluded, quiet, and beautiful. The house was clean, comfortable, and well stocked to make our stay feel right at home. I would strongly recommend Taylor Camp to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway that will truly let you disconnect and relax.

My girlfriend and I spent a few days here and had an amazing time. The place is beautiful with stunning views and plenty of privacy, as well as access to the water. There was a very thorough list of activities and suggestions for things to do around the area which was really helpful. If you’re looking for a cozy retreat and an escape in nature this is definitely the place!

Great host as he stopped by to say hello the next morning and asked if we needed anything and if we did he said to knock on his door at any time, highly recommend staying here and I definitely will be coming back to enjoy the great trails on the side by side

Beth’s cabin was a gem! The water was beautiful and we enjoyed kayaking and floating around on rafts. We shopped and explored the falls in Machias only 10 miles away. The air conditioning and heat worked great. We made a blueberry pie with a quart of Maine blueberries from the general store in Machias. It was awesome. Would love to come again. Listening to the loons at night is magical. ☺️☺️

Trevanna was so easy to communicate with. She answered all my questions so I knew exactly what I needed and what to expect. Her home was warm and welcoming and the perfect location for out family weekend. I look forward to going back someday.
