Come experience TINY HOME living SILO STYLE on a family owned Missouri farm... complete with Nigerian Dwarf goats, miniature donkey, chickens, and more. The Silos at Prairie Vale are between Sedalia, Missouri and the little town of Green Ridge, Missouri. The farm is only about 12 miles from the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia and 2 1/2 miles on paved road from the Katy Trail.
“The Silos at Prairie Vale was a very unique, fun and relaxing place stay! We enjoyed feeding the goats, bird watching, spying swimming turtles in the pond, seeing beautiful sunsets right from our front porch and capping off our nights with a bonfire. The silo was so unique, very clean and complete with personal touches of caramels and goat soap! Breakfast in the fridge was delicious! Information on local attractions was provided and we loved exploring Cole Camp! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!”

“No detail was spared. Everything exceeded expectations, down to the quality of linens, cleanliness of the bnb, to the handmade goat-milk soaps and view of the pond. This is a working farm, and the hosts take hospitality and comfort very seriously. They were most welcoming and helpful, and enjoyed talking to us about the farm. Doesn’t get any better than this. Oh, did I mention the birds? Bird paradise, songbirds everywhere. Sunrise and sunset were the cherry on top. Oh-and baby goats. Next time we come, we plan on bike riding, fishing, and grilling. If you seek a weekend away from the big city, do not hesitate to book here. Thank you for a wonderful girls trip for two tired moms who really needed it!! OUTSTANDING!”
Slow down and breathe some fresh country air! Relax on our covered deck! Enjoy the beauty of the alpaca pronking in the field! Get to know some alpacas, sheep & goats! Take a dip in the Perma Salt pool or hangout by the fire pit! We’re located near a small quiet town far enough from the city to see a fantastic amount of stars, but not too far to drive to KC, Warrensburg (UCM), Whiteman AFB, Powell Gardens and 4.4 miles off the Katy Trail near the Rock Island Spur. Families welcome!
“What a great stay. We stayed there for 3 nights with our 7, 5, and 2 year old. They loved the animals. Melissa was nice enough to wait for us to feed them, even if we were out a little later. We had another family friend with 2 girls come for a night, a little last minute and they were very nice at being flexible. I was a little worried about how the shared space would work (kitchen and living room), but it was clear that they were giving us space to enhance our experience. We had movie nights and game nights in the family room and family meals at the dining room table. It was a very comfortable and fun experience. Highly recommend.”
