The Snug at Caphays: cosy family retreat in nature

AndrewRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Kay was a very responsive host with great communication and plenty of instructions of the local area on places to eat and things to do during our stay. Very comfortable beds, great shower and nice little touches like fresh raspberries and Local apple juice laid out for us upon arrival. Would definitely recommend and stay again

The Cottage, Fairings

FrancescaRating, 5 stars3 days ago
This beautiful cottage is a perfect blend of cosy and traditional, but also clean and modern. The cottage garden is gorgeous. We arrived late on the Friday and it was easy to access and Jane’s instructions and responses were great. Everything was clean and the bed was so comfy. But what makes this place so special is all the little touches. We were grateful for the homemade bread, cake, few bits in the fridge, eggs etc which made it feel like you a proper home from home. We loved the stay and our 10 month old daughter did too. There is a small spar convenient shop round the corner. A pub very close, which we sadly didn’t go in. But otherwise the village is tiny, quiet and beautiful. Thank you so much Jane.

The Hoot

Absolutely amazing stay, just what I needed for a summer solstice reset retreat. I appreciated all the extras like games and crafts and lots of books and meditation and affirmation cards. The outside bath was just perfect so soak up nature. Lots of products supplied and well stocked kitchen. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay, the views were beautiful, of an afternoon we loved watching the deer. Most of the week was very peaceful and quiet. The cabin was clean and warm. The fires were brilliant. We had a lovely time.

Beautiful 2 bedroom cottage in glorious Dorset

PhilRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in; probably the best. There was a welcome hamper, all the cooking implements we needed, very spacious and the accommodation was to a high specification. We had a wonderful time visiting local gardens.

Shepherd's Hut with Gypsy Wagon

EdenRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We recently stayed at Andreas Shepherd's Hut in Cruxton, and it was a delightful experience. Nestled in a serene rural setting, the hut offers an idyllic escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The accommodation was charmingly rustic yet comfortably modern and the interior was well-appointed with thoughtful touches that made it feel cosy and welcoming. The bed was really comfortable and the small kitchenette was equipped with everything needed for a self-catering stay which we made the most of both mornings and evenings. The hut's location was perfect. Surrounded by apple trees and rolling hills, it's ideal for leisurely walks, relaxing outside with the fire pit or enjoying the private space alongside the river. The lack of light pollution in the area allowed us to view the Milky Way when stargazing one evening which was the perfect addition to our stay. Andrea was super accommodating, ensuring that everything was in order and even dropped off a homemade Dorset apple cake!

Dorset Alpaca Shepherd's Hut

MarcusRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We had a lovely stay in Paul's shepherd's hut. The hut was great and the rural surroundings were idyllic. The alpacas were fascinating to watch. Paul was a great host and provided lots of useful suggestions and information regarding things to see and do locally.

Sunset, off grid shepherds hut in cider orchard

TaraRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
The stay was exactly what we wanted. Private, off-grid accommodation in beautiful surroundings. We were left to our own devices although the hosts were very responsive, if needed. We didn’t need anything though as their welcome pack is so thorough and informative. Was lovely to arrive to a pre-warmed hot tub and a bottle of their cider. Sleeping with the windows open and waking up to the bird song was such a wonderful start to the day. It rained the whole time we were there so we’d love to return in sunnier weather so we can make use of the picnic benches outside of the shop and enjoy a few ciders! A fantastic spot to get away from the noise in a beautiful location with great hosts. Would 100% return.
