TABITABI is a 100-square-meter, two-story house built in the Taisho period with a modern style. A house in a quiet villa area on the shore of Lake Biwa, Rinkusho. A location surrounded by a peaceful countryside, with a white sand and green pine lake spread out in front of it. Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.

It is a house along Wakasa-cho, Fukui Prefecture. * There is an office of an operating corporation in one room in the building, so there are people coming and going during the day. * For consecutive nights, kayak tour participants may use the bathroom between 10:30 and 15:30. Please note that we will try to avoid any inconvenience to the guests entering through the back door. Limited to one group per day, there are no private houses around, so you can relax and enjoy your private time.

To ensure you enjoy the stay to the fullest, I set check-in and check-out time to both 12:00 Noon. So you can stay up for 24 hours with one night booking. YAMANOTE HOUSE is accessible from major Kansai stations with 37min from Kyoto Sta. or 65min from Osaka Sta. If you come by car from Kyoto it takes less than 1 hour. The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.

A 115-year-old storehouse and an old folk house have been refurbished to make this an inn for rent. Up to 4 people can use this price. Additional 5500 yen / person available.
