Awanui Cottage

Welcome to our self contained Cottage. We offer a studio room located in a Rural setting on a Thoroughbred horse farm with views of the Kaimai Range. Being approximately 5mins drive from Matamata gives you the best of being in the Country and close to a Rural Town offering you excellent Restaurants, Cafes and Shops. We are also about 15mins drive from the film location of Hobbiton. With great views of the Kaimai Ranges you are also 30-40mins drive from Tauranga and Mount Maunganui.

Our studio conversion offers contemporary open plan lodgings. An equipped kitchen unit, dining setting, lounge area including bedroom with king size bed that also splits into two singles if required. The bathroom offers double shower. A second separate bedroom offers two single beds or double bed/second bathroom plus laundry. A continental breakfast is provided. The accommodation is a 5 minute walk from CBD and a short car drive to scenic points of interest in the district .

Welcome to Di's B&B. Everybody welcome. Private down stairs unit with separate access. 1 bedroom with queen bed and tv 2nd bedroom with 1 large single bed and dinning table. Both rooms have heaters and electric blankets. Separate room with a sofa. Kitchenette with microwave, jug, toaster and fridge. Free unlimited WiFi. Covered parking. Portable cot available on request. 10 min walk to Matamata shops. 10 min drive to Hobbiton. Central to Hamilton, Tauranga and Rotorua.

A Place in the Paddock

This properties entrance is on the Hauraki Cycle Trail, only 2.5 km from town. The cottage is surrounded by farm land. You will have exclusive use of this 3 bedroom country home which easily accommodates 7 people. An 11 minute drive to the sensational Wairere Falls bush walk . 17 minutes to Hobbiton Movie set . Has foam mattresses for groups up to 11 as well as a portacot. Please be aware of electric fences on driveway( but not near house surroundings )

"The Old Church" Boutique Accommodation

Our wonderful home is a converted Catholic Church, built in 1954 which we were lucky enough to buy in 1996. It offers a unique and special stay, full of character with a peaceful atmosphere. A great place to spend time relaxing or exploring the beautiful area we live in. To add to this, Café 77 is situated right across the road in what was once the old derelict Manawaru Dairy Factory. They are open from 8 am to 3 pm daily and we can highly recommend!

Escape to the country at our self-contained cabin with lovely mountain & country views at the base of the Kaimai Ranges. Close to Wairere Falls (7 min drive), Hobbiton Tour from Matamata (28 min drive) & 3 mins ride to cycle trail! Central to Rotorua, Waitomo, Coromandel Peninsula and Auckland.
