We traveled as a group of 6 to Villa Acres Green for a one-night getaway. The place was truly beyond our expectations and the pictures don’t do justice to the place! The property is spacious and gives you a sense of seclusion from the rest of the world. The vast garden is scattered with lots of trees, a pond and a well maintained lawn with benches and hammocks for a nice evening chill. The pool is much bigger than you’d expect and was clean. The tiles in the pool are starting to break so a little caution would be advised. We opted to get our food prepared at the property. The BBQ dinner was excellent, but the Sri Lankan breakfast (kiri bath) was only average. It’s possible that the food maybe a hit of miss in our experience. The rooms were nice; spacious and clean! The A/C cooled well which was more than appreciated since the days were scorching! All in all, we had a fantastic experience at the property and would highly recommend it to anyone travelling to Hikkaduwa.

Our stay at Anja's place was amazing! Even before we arrived, Anja provided us with valuable tips for our Sri Lanka trip, which helped us a lot and took our initial concerns. We were able to check in earlier for a small extra charge and were warmly welcomed. Eranga, who takes care of the house, prepared us a delicious lunch according to our wishes – a perfect start after a long journey! The house is very well equipped. The two rooms on the ground floor each include a private bathroom. Living room, kitchen and terrace are also on one level. Our children loved the pool, which is an ideal size and surrounded by beautiful palm trees. We were able to use the pool completely privately. The highlight was the roof terrace with a fantastic view of the sea and breathtaking sunsets. We highly recommend Anja's place. Thank you for everything.

Loved the villa! Right on the beach. Spacious. Loved the simple, elegant interiors, and the muted lighting. We all had a great time in the pool by the beach. The speaker is awesome. Jaan was always prompt in responding. And they proactively informed us that we could check out late as they had no booking on that day - thank you Jaan. The local caretaker Gayan, who lives nearby, comes every day to clean the pool and was helpful. He also drives a tuktuk himself. He came to check on us a few times despite his son being unwell - thank you Gayan. There is a supermarket at a walking distance and a restaurant (called A2). The main town, restaurants, touristy shops are less than 3 kms away and tuktuks are very easily available for hire (the pickme app worked like a charm). We stayed during the off season, so it is quite likely that during the peak season, there are beachfront restaurants and bars operational at a walking distance from the villa.

We absolutely loved Podis villa 02. The villa is fabulous, squeaky clean, with wooden floors, incredibly spacious bathrooms, crisp linen, bath robes, soft and comfy bedding. The saltwater pool is beautiful, clean, & equipped with nightlights and even a poolside shower & toilet. The little details to the house is what really sets this place apart! The house also has a quiet terrace frm which one can enjoy the stars by night and the tranquillity of coconut palms during the day. The home is perfect for friends and family, especially with children. They've even provided cots on request and cute stuffed toy ducks for kids. The beach is a short walk away and the JHL restaurant at Hikkaduwa Town is a lovely spot to eat and enjoy the beach throughout the day. Sampath & Ruhun are wonderful! They come by to clean the pool daily, helped us rearrange the bed for the children and are so warm and hospitable! We loved every minute and can't wait to be back next time for longer!

Beautiful and spacious home near to great restaurants and beaches. Highly recommend!!

We spent a month here – it's almost a perfect place! The Internet is ideal for work, including video calls. Comfortable bed with new mattress. The bathroom is a delight! The toilet and shower are separated from each other, and the hot water is really unlimited hot water and with great pressure. The kitchen has everything except the Turks for making coffee, but it's a small thing. We made friends with our dogs and played often. They really bark, but only when someone comes, which in our case was very rare. The hosts are wonderful people, it was easy and pleasant to communicate on all issues. There is no noise insulation between our and neighboring apartments at the expense of a thin door in an adjacent wall. We rented this apartment too and used them as a separate office. When someone arrives at the villa, you can hear absolutely everything that happens on the street at any time of the day. In any case, my rating is 10 out of 10 because all the listed pros more than compensate for the minor shortcomings. Thank you!

Great location, and more than I expected. We had a great time and the host was really good at checking in on us and making the whole trip smooth. He taught how to turn on the POOL JACUZZI!! It was amazing! The bed sheets and towels were brand new or felt new! The space was spotless. We walked right across to the beach and had some amazing food! Surprise is mentioned the hosts name and you get some great service. Everyone seems to know him! The backyard is really quiet and you can have a lovely drink in the Gazebo overlooking the pool. This was a great find! I would recommend this for single and family visitors! Sri Lanka is amazing and the host is a true island hospitality king! We felt safe in the house and the neighborhood. Great WiFi and fully stocked kitchen! Bathrooms were spotless and great shower pressure. We loved it all and wished we stayed longer.

We enjoyed our stay at Sepalika’s home, which was in a great location close to the city centre. Her housekeepers were very helpful throughout our stay and provided us with a delicious traditional Sri Lankan breakfast. The six of us felt very comfortable and at home.

Chathura’s place was comfortable and clean. He was a friendly and warm host. The kitchen was well equipped. He did our laundry free of charge which was amazing! Internet worked well. Thanks so much, we had a comfortable stay.

This is my second time staying at Lahiru’s place. It was a very pleasant experience. Lahiru and his father were very warm and friendly, and had all amenities mentioned. The layout of the house is luxurious and very pleasant. The place has an attractive jogging path around the lake, and the tranquility that comes with it makes it a pleasant place to stay. If I had to describe the area in a few words, I would say “peaceful environment to live in”. I definitely hope to come back for a third time.

This was our second stay at Mayurie’s place, and it truly feels like a second home for our family. The communication was friendly, and the stay was very comfortable. Highly recommended if you're visiting SriLanka for a holiday. It also offers easy access to High-Level Road and plenty of nearby restaurants.

The host's are amazing, super friendly and helpful. The apartment is spacious and clean, with plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for preparing meals, and there is a large TV to relax and enjoy a movie. Excellent supermarket at the end of the street, along with regular buses in all directions. It's quite, the wifi is fast, and the aircon works great when you need it.

We stayed at Hemashanthi Latha’s villa for two days, and from the very first moment, we were impressed by the warmth and hospitality of the aunt who took care of us. Initially, we were a bit confused about the location, but she kindly came all the way to the main road to pick us up. She welcomed us with tea and water bottles, which was a thoughtful gesture after our travel. The villa itself was even better than we expected—comfortable, clean, and truly gave us the feeling of being in a cozy, local Sri Lankan home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place, especially for couples looking for a peaceful, authentic experience in Sri Lanka.

The Palm Beach Villa was absolutely amazing! Piyal, the house manager, was waiting for us at the airport, and drove us to the Villa, even tho we arrived early in the morning. There was a wonderful breakfast waiting for us upon our arrival. Piyal and Sujami took such great care of us during the day, and Sumith was there all night, which made us feel very safe. We weren't expecting the high level of pampering we received from the 3 of them. It really made our stay truly relaxing. The Villa and grounds are beautiful! The dogs were an added surprise, and were definitely part of the experience :) The pool was heavenly! The beach was right there!!! and was so beautiful and virtually empty! Watching and helping with the morning fishermen was an experience we will never forget! The location is so private, but close enough to many of the island's attractions. Piyal was a gracious host, driver, and AMAZING cook!!! Sujami was so sweet and helpful. Sumith was great! Will def be back!

Thevin's place was an absolute delight to be at, has all the amenities you'd need for a stay, and located in a peaceful area away from all sounds and distractions. Thevin was always helpful and went above and beyond in helping us during our 2 nights stay. Easy to find rides via pick me or uber from the area. Would recommend to anyone!

It is an amazing place, you are missing niks. amazing villa. A lot has been thought of. Super clean, a place for us to come back to again. Contact was great, when there was a question there was a response right away. This is truly worthy of 5 stars. Nice quiet neighborhood and everything within walking distance. We have been coming to Sri Lanka through hotels and AirBnb since 2011, but this was the best place ever!

Great Stay for a Quiet Getaway! I had a pleasant stay at this Airbnb. The place was nice, clean, and well-maintained, offering a quiet and calm atmosphere—perfect for relaxation. While the location is a bit far from the beach and more on the inland side, it’s ideal for backpackers or those looking for a peaceful retreat. A nice bonus was the included breakfast, which was much appreciated. The host was friendly, supportive, and made sure everything was comfortable. Overall, it was a good experience, and I’d recommend it to travelers who don’t mind being a little further from the shore.

What a gem of an Airbnb! Roshan's newly built house truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by how spotlessly clean it was. The kitchen is fantastically equipped, making it easy to prepare meals, and the bedrooms are wonderfully cozy – perfect for relaxing after a day out. The location is ideal, offering easy access to the main road, which meant restaurants and shops were just a stone's throw away. Roshan is an absolute delight as a host; his responsiveness and genuine care for our comfort were evident throughout our stay. He continuously checked if we needed anything, which we really appreciated. We can't wait to visit again!
