We love to stay at this place. Beautifully furnished, a little oasis in busy Colombo. Senerath, the caretaker, is utterly amazing. We always feel very at home.

Upul's property is beautiful. The caretaker was very thorough with her job and made sure we were comfortable, She even arranged a local tuk tuk for a dinner visit to town. It's a bit further off from the main touristy centre, but if you are seeking a quiet, beautiful retreat, this is great, and proximity to the airport makes it a perfect 1st or last stop from Colombo.

We booked 'A place' for a group of 6. The place was exactly as seen in pictures. 'Dilan' - the host was always available for questions. He gave us a good tour and encouraged to use all the amenities. The home caretaker 'Anusha' was on the property 24*7 and available to assist in the group activities and daily chores. We were also introduced to a local guide 'Champika' who virtually got everything done for us. Since, we didn't speak Singalese, Dilan and Champika made sure all our needs were taken care of. Over all: - Great place and Stay - Friendly and helpful Host - Excellent care taker and his availability - Very reliable and trustworthy people - No hidden charges or trying to squeez extra It was a wonderful experience over all. I highly recommend this place for a Professional meeting, Family or friends get together. Nice and Quite with access to the beach right there!! And most importantly - 'Friendly, trustworthy and reliabile' people for a stay in a foreign country!!!

Great location, and more than I expected. We had a great time and the host was really good at checking in on us and making the whole trip smooth. He taught how to turn on the POOL JACUZZI!! It was amazing! The bed sheets and towels were brand new or felt new! The space was spotless. We walked right across to the beach and had some amazing food! Surprise is mentioned the hosts name and you get some great service. Everyone seems to know him! The backyard is really quiet and you can have a lovely drink in the Gazebo overlooking the pool. This was a great find! I would recommend this for single and family visitors! Sri Lanka is amazing and the host is a true island hospitality king! We felt safe in the house and the neighborhood. Great WiFi and fully stocked kitchen! Bathrooms were spotless and great shower pressure. We loved it all and wished we stayed longer.

We arrived in Columbo Airport just before 3am, technically the day after our booking started. The host had been great in the lead-up, checking in regularly and reassuring us everything was sorted, and he even came to the airport to pick us up himself. The drive was relatively short but lively. Even at that hour, the streets were buzzing with people, bikes, tuk-tuks, and market stalls. It was a bit of an eye opener after a long flight. As we turned down dark, bumpy backroads, we were a little unsure, especially with a young child. Once we passed through the iron gate and saw the garden and pool, we still wasnt sold, but as soon as the front door opened, we relaxed. The house was spotless, spacious, and exactly as described. I woke early and opened the curtains to palm trees and the pool, a total contrast to the hustle outside. The host came by in the morning to clean the pool and arranged a tuk-tuk to take us shopping. Highly recommend hideaway right next to a buzzing local area.

Location is perfect and very convenient to all amnesties. Upeksha is responding very quickly and friendly. Very clean home with nice pool. no parking issues. Prefer to go again and there is no hesitation to recommend this place.

“A home away from home” just as described. Felt right at home as soon as we stepped in. We have always had 2nd thoughts about booking air bnbs after so many horror stories. This was our first experience and think we nailed it. The photos matched the accommodation, the host Isuru was very friendly, responsive and proactive and it was so easy to communicate with him if we had any issues. The house was spotless and was warm and welcoming. Everything was exactly as described and we had an amazing and a peaceful stay at this beautiful home. Would recommend to anyone and will always be our number 1 place to stay when we are back :)

We stayed at Hemashanthi Latha’s villa for two days, and from the very first moment, we were impressed by the warmth and hospitality of the aunt who took care of us. Initially, we were a bit confused about the location, but she kindly came all the way to the main road to pick us up. She welcomed us with tea and water bottles, which was a thoughtful gesture after our travel. The villa itself was even better than we expected—comfortable, clean, and truly gave us the feeling of being in a cozy, local Sri Lankan home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place, especially for couples looking for a peaceful, authentic experience in Sri Lanka.

So glad my friends and I found a home away from home in Ja-ela. Stayed 8 days here. Angela was an amazing host. Location wise, it’s a small town so everything is accessible. Only a 15 minute drive from airport. Supermarket & convenience stores just 10 min ride away/20min walk. However, since the area is residential it’s very quiet and peaceful, some Uber drivers are not familiar with it so they would call first to confirm the location. Get familiar with the area so you can give directions to them. Overall it was clean, especially the toilet and bedrooms which is most important for me. 4 of us shared 2 beds. The living room & dining area are bigger than in the photos! Wifi was fast. Best part of it was that the host stayed right next to the villa, so she was available for anything we needed like gas for the stove or other supplies we needed. Was also very easy to communicate with her by text for help or recommendations. Planning to come back here in my next trip to Ja-ela.

Siluna’s place is a hidden gem. Surrounded by nature in a peaceful village, it’s the perfect escape. The caretakers made me feel like part of the family, and the food—fresh from the garden—was absolutely amazing. They also gave great local tips. Don’t think twice, just book it!

We booked Andy’s property for a colleague visiting from overseas, and she had a wonderful stay. The home was safe, comfortable, and she absolutely loved it. Andy was incredibly helpful and responsive to anything we needed, which made the experience even better. Highly recommended!

The place was spotless and well-maintained! We stayed for over a month, and Janith’s dad was always available and happy to help whenever needed. As it was my first time using Airbnb, I was a bit nervous, but Janith reassured me that the place was safe and it truly was. Its proximity to the city was incredibly convenient. I’m so glad I chose this place because they went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

Very happy about our stay here, the place is exactly how it’s described. We had the ability to enjoy peacefully and lovely Jayantha was always available if needed. Close distance to our relatives and generally a great spot to stay in - convenient and private at the same time. Would definitely book again if I came back!

This was our first stay out of a few others in Sri Lanka. We had an amazing time. We, as a family of 5 stayed 2 nights at Lalin's place and it was a great start to our trip. Luxurio villa with greenery all around, not too far from city centre. Well spacious rooms and all available amenities at the kitchen made it a perfect stay. Cherry on the cake was the swimming pool which calls you to take a dip after a busy touristy dayout :-) Lalin and the caretaker was proactive, helped us with a flexible early check-in and also took care of our queries in advance. This house is in an excellent location of Colombo. It’s closely to many good restaurants and cafes. The house is very cosy and can be enjoyed by both families and business people alike. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

This is a newly built, beautiful and modern little place conveniently located very close to Homagama town. The surrounding is peaceful and private. The host was solid and very responsive. He was very attentive and flexible and tends to your needs. The house is comfortable and beautiful and fitted with all the amenities needed. Highly recommend this place!

My kids loved the house. So did I. It is a beautifully and uniquely designed house. It was clean, comfortable, relaxing, and practical. The kitchen had all amenities that you would need at home. The laundry machine with detergent was a bonus. All bedrooms had a functioning AC. We had a very nice sleep. We used only two bedrooms but there was one more room. The host was friendly, responsive, and caring. We chose this house because it was close to the Leisure World Water Park which was about 1.5 km away. The host kindly arranged a tuktuk ride both way’s. All in all, we had such a great stay. It was beyond our expectation.

An absolutely delightful stay at Bright & Airy Second Floor Home! Nadee was an exceptional host, and my husband and I had a truly wonderful stay at her 'Bright & Airy Second Floor Home' for several days. From the moment we booked, communication was fantastic. We had a midnight flight, and I reached out to Nadee to ask for a very late checkout, hoping for 10 p.m. She was incredibly flexible and understanding, and to our delight, she granted our request free of charge! This made such a huge difference to our last day and travel experience. The apartment itself is lovely. The views from our room and the private terrace were absolutely amazing – perfect for enjoying morning coffee or an evening unwind. My family and I spent a few days at this stunning place. The property is larger and more beautiful than the pictures suggest. We were blown away! I was occupied with bird watching in the morning and afternoon. The view is amazing and the garden is beautiful. The place is perfectly located if you are looking for a peaceful place that feels remote in Colombo. You can get Tuks or taxis to get you to Galle Face or other parts of Colombo. If you are looking to stay in Malabe or Battaramulla - this is unbeatable. We enjoyed the proximity to my wife’s family. We wish we found this place earlier and will very happily recommend it to our friends and stay there again in the future. Thank you, Kaushi, for an unforgettable stay!
